    Great review. Personally I prefer my Tequila and Mezcal to be Blanco. I just like the agave flavor that makes Mezcal unique. When it gets aged too long the barrels take over. At that point I’d rather reach for a Bourbon or Scotch.

    I have the knot batch and the bottle really does open up and get better over time. It is a very unique and graceful tequila; I can practically smell it through this video. That being said, I have an extensive whiskey and agave spirits collection and don't feel I got enough utils to justify the price. I paid $210 shipped for my bottle. I really with this was priced $150 and the proof was higher ~92ish.

    Great video! I’m new to your channel and this was the second video I’ve seen. The enthusiasm shown by each makes me want to go buy it! I also seen a video on what I believe is a relatively new tequila called Elevaso Extra Anejo that’s claiming to be as good, if not better than Tears of Llorona. Has the channel tris this tequila? I tried looking but didn’t see it. It would be great if you did and put it against Tears of Llorona or even the Tapatio Extra Anejo.

      @kevinclark9176 3 года назад +1

      I just checked Elevaso on TequilaMatch and it’s only an 84/85 compared to 90/89 for Tears. And the red flags on Elevaso are that it is cooked in a high pressure autoclave (Tears is low pressure to more resemble a brick oven) and it is triple distilled, usually a no-no in good tequila.

    It's the fad-ish choice this past year or two. When we first tasted it at $69 a shot we almost sent it back. Harsh burning bite, reminded me of the college tequila days. We put it aside and had other high-end tequilas and had dinner. About an hour later we came back to it, after it breathed, and it tasted great. My only complaint is that it's too close to whiskey and whiskey isn't my fave spirit. I mentioned it to the tequila sommelier and he said it's because it's aged in whiskey barrels so it made sense. If you are a tequila aficionado, it's not a true representation of what Tequila should taste like.

    I was sold until he said he could poor it on pancakes. That tells me it may be too sweet for my taste. Some tequila makers create “smoothness” by adding caramel or vanilla in high amounts which i am not a huge fan of. Some is ok. Asombroso extra añejo is my favorite añejo till this day. Im torn between buying this or not. Its gone up in price since this review and cant find it under $250. Can anyone attest to its sweetness? Or is it comparable to clase azul or familia flores? The flores extra añejo was too sweet for me almost sirupy. Thanks!

Their are other good tasting Tequilas out there that cost less and are still sweet tasty Tequila for less money. You might as well buy a bottle of Cava de Ord Anejo Tequila if You’re going to spent some Money. Fortaleza Tequila Anejo is cheaper to buy and for my opinion is a better deal.
