  • A model showcase video for a 1/35th scale Dragon M60A2 starship. In this video I review the kit, and discuss some of the mods and features that were added to the model.
Model was built for my own collection and is another build "from the stash"

Thanks for explaining the appendage mounted to the rear of the bustle as a storage bracket for the search light. I built the Tamiya kit (purchased in 1980), and have wondered what this bracket was used for since. When I first saw the kit in 1980, I thought it was the coolest looking tank I'd ever seen, so i had to get it. I had no idea for years that the actual m60A2 tank was rather a disaster of unproven/unreliable design. I've heard the m60A3 tank was much better. Of course, the M1A1 tank was just around the corner as the M60A2 was phased out.

Hi, could you tell me what gearbox you used for the main drive and also what gearbox was used for the turret drive. I want to convert my hobby Boss 1/16 tiger 1 to RC. Thanks.

This model is static 1/35th and doesn't run. I'm not sure how you thought this one was RC and 1/16?

Cold war gem good looking tank have the old Tamiya kit from 1970 new dragon tooling looks good in probley get the academy kit its cheaper then dragon

The Academy is nothing more then a dressed up Tamiya. The academy kit used for the base the old Academy M60A1 kit, which is a copy of the tamiya one. Academy added some new parts like the turret and other star ship bits, only draw back is they went with crappy link and length tracks. The only way I recommend the academy kit is if you pitch the stock tracks with workable AFV club ones. If not, you might just pay a little more and get the dragon one

At least the Academy kit is dimensionally accurate. The DML kit is shockingly inaccurate.

The tank is all painted. You never leave a model in the base plastic color.
