First I would like to state, I LOVE my people so much. We are beautiful, strong, and proud. Secondary, I would to state nothing before has ever driven me to the need of taking the time out and comment on a video posting. We that being stated, I am very concern with the way our beautiful sisters are allowing their and excepting their physical appearance now a days. When I was growing up (a young man) 9 out of every 10 Black women you saw in public had the curves of a Goddess, Black woman bodies would make a J Low envious. I am in the gym 6 days a week and all I see are other women of color trying so hard to gain the curves Black women have naturally. So watching the vast majority (not all of course) of the sisters with stomachs larger than their booty is sad. All the sisters had very pretty faces. It really sadden my heart because as a people it seems we are now excepting this unhealthy lifestyle and of course I can claim the same about our brothers. However, the major difference between the two, women will tend to be much harder on a brother who is overweight. So this is really towards my brothers who are saying this is okay for Black women to not be concerned about their health. If we (brothers) will start being honest and say this is not a good look, maybe sister will see it as well. I am well aware losing weight is not easy, but gaining that amount of weight I witnessed in this video is not easy either. Black people we all know, we have enough enemies and we do not need to continue to add obesity to that list. Sister you ARE STRONG AND BEAUTIFUL, YOU HAVE THE POWER WITHIN YOU. Side note. Imagery is very important, and our enemies know this. This is why on television more than often when you see a strong Black women she is normally overweight, loud, and sassy and her co-partner is normally a skinny white woman trying to be black. This is not by mistake or coincidence, the media has always try to put negative images of us (Black people) on the tube, now they are targeting you my sister.
