I love those sanitaire vacs, I finally got the chance to use one for the first time a few weeks ago and even when they are beat up and abused they still work amazing. Can’t say the same for every vacuum I’ve used!
I'm not the biggest fan of direct air vacuums. The lack of a hose and inability to clean hard floors is a deal breaker. Plus they are just way to loud.
That's not something I would have expected failure wise on the Sanitaire, but it makes sense as there is no bag fill tube to block up. There is no bag tube to block up first.
@@DLVASMR 0plus my cats absolutely hate the sanitaire. It pulls up a lot of carpet fuzz from my house. At first I was just going to use it here and there. But I decided to use it for mess tests because you all wanted me to
The belt is the weak point in the Sanitaire. Debris got caught up on the fan spindle and jammed the brushroll belt. The same thing would happen to a Kirby.
My bagged Commercial Hoover Windtunnel would've done better than this Sanitaire but for an old 70s style upright this thing did surprisingly well better than I would've thought!
I think it might be worthwhile repeating this test after some further review. It appears that the clog was caused by trying to pick up too much dirt too fast. You attempted to pick up two clumps of hair at once which is what ultimately clogged the fan chamber. Now this all being said, my mess test methodology would be different especially with the Hoover and Dirt Devil. Of course I'm not sure my methodology would make for good video though.

@Dan Cline. mean if you only own one vacuum. Plus the sanitaire is about 87db an average vacuum is 70 to 80
@Dan Cline . I am a new days vacuum person. Everyone has there preferences.
Yep. That’s why I love mine. I’ve had it since 1996 and it’s still sucks color off a rug.

I love Sanitaire sounds. And on the second rug it sounded good. Probably just need to clean out the motor. Love these big messes.
Well this is something unexpected from you. I never would have thought you would put the Sanitaire up again this mess
Well I did it for all of you
VacMaster1991 🥰🥰

VacMaster1991 this was perfect. Thank a lot. Oh PS cats hate everything LOL
sometimes too much is too much.what a wonderful sound & awesome big puffy bag getting full.
Thanks
This is so damn PERFECT
Have you ever used a soft bagged direct air Hoover elite upright vacuum from the 90s and the early 2000s
@erinm9534 i have not.
Still a fave
Thanks
You should get a metal royal vacuum
Do you still have your dirt devil endura express ? I feel like it would do better then that one dirt devil you used
No. I was not a fan of that vacuum. It was hard to use, and the filter clogged very fast.
The belt is the weak point in the Sanitaire. Debris got caught up on the fan spindle and jammed the brushroll belt. The same thing would happen to a Kirby.
Yes it is. A direct air machine with a sealed belt would do better
Can you do a mess test with the Kirby?
The Kirby is broken.
My bagged Commercial Hoover Windtunnel would've done better than this Sanitaire but for an old 70s style upright this thing did surprisingly well better than I would've thought!
Probably would. There is no fan to clogg with dirt like in a direct air machine
2 vacuums that you have with small bins the hoover and your bissell powergroom bagless
*Keeps vacuuming*
(Sees a file of hair)
*Roller of vacuum stops*
You: and I just stopped the Moter *laughs* SANNTAIR* *claps*
It didn’t seem to like that textured rug huh?
No it was not.
But you said you don't use bagged vacs and that vac is bagged
Did you lie to me
Normally I don't this is an exception. It has a reusable dump out bag
@@VacMaster1991 oh
Can you do a shark vaccum vent hoover vaccum
Are you thinking about getting another sanitaire vacuum different kind ?
No. I'm not a fan of this sanitaire. I think the performance is ok. but its heavy, loud and has no hose.
VacMaster1991 you should try the other uprights
VacMaster1991 of sanitaire
@@Juniorar03 , Over the next few months, I will be trying inexpensive uprights and seeing which one I like the most!
VacMaster1991 I have tried Mostly every brand possible except the expensive ones
Wow 😱
You didn't stop the motor on the Sanitaire. You only stopped the belt from turning.
That's what I meant.
@@VacMaster1991 you should've cheated and disengaged the belt and brushroll lol
@@cali22boi . It wouldn't have picked up well without the brush roll
@@VacMaster1991 your right
You stopped the brush roll not the actual motor
I know. I said it wrong. 🤪
@@VacMaster1991 😋
You should just take that cyclone piece off of the dirt devil since it clogs so much and then just play with it until it dies
I will probably modify the dirt devil cyclone.

I could vacuum slower and give it a chance to pick up the mess. But then fun of the video is vacuuming up as much as possible at once.
You didn't jam the motor on the Sanitaire you just jammed the brushroll
Yes, that's what I meant.
Sanitair Vaccumms are ok
Nice face off!
Did u ever fix the saintaire
Yes. I donated it after a while. The poor filtration of the bags was a deal breaker with me and my mums allergies.
