The Bennie lift is still original today despite the store being heavily refurbished. Though it doesn't get used as much now because they've installed a boring Stannah lift as the main lift to the cafe.
The lifts are 1. Pornendun woody lift in car park 0:08 2. UK lift M&S 0:45 3. Bennie lift at sainsburys 1:20 4. Goods lift at sainsburys between M&S I think 2:37
Just looking at the Bennie lift in Sainsburys, I wonder was it originally a fully gated lift, because the outside of the lift door frame seems to be wider on the right hand side, so i'm wondering were the automatic doors only added at a later date.
