OK, Arabia releasing Byzantium as an afterthought, and then it migrating to Italy, where it goes decently far in recreating the Roman Empire (and give it another century and it might have done so) has to be one of the craziest things I've seen in these!
What the feck is wrong with Spain at 0:29 ? I guess England/Great Britain had a PU over Castille and intgrated them, while Aragon was forming Spain. Castille changing from yellow to red while Aragon changed from red to yellow. I thought at first they changed places. How the hell did Aragon form Spain without the Castilian province they would need? And i guess Yellow Aragon got a PU over Portugal (they couldn't annex all at one, right? That's more interesting than Najd Arabia.
This feel like it could be a mechanic in EU5, actually. The catholic church probably moving if another religion takes over Rome. As long as there's another catholic country to move to! If none other are still catholic i guess it'll stay anyway?
Arabia's first mistake was releasing Byzantium at max tech 😭

That Byzantium man. The comeback was real and epic.
Byzantium is the real MVP of this run

Its a bug, Aragon got the PU over castille, and then formed Spain, so castille has the aragon color and aragon the Spanish color
Exactly
Byzantium ftw, yes, but check out that European religious mapmode. I wonder where the Catholic Pope would be? Santiago?

Well that was confusing.
This timeline is so wrong and so right all at the same time. The byzantine comeback-but led by von Hapsburg.
