Michelle is moving very smoothly as of late. She seems to be free and is able to play a variety of shots. This really puts Sindhu in trouble because Michelle has so much variety in stroke. People are commenting on Sindhus drop while ignoring the fact that Michelle is 33 while Sindhu is 29.
Michelle has one the more powerful smashes. Such a likeable player. Love her to bits!

I've been following Michelle for a very long time. Since around time, they both started competing on senior circuit. I've often feared that when she plays Sindhu, or someone with similar playing abilities, she'll get under Sindhu's skin and compel her to make mistakes. Sindhu, has always struggled to defeat Sayaka Takahashi, Bellatrix Manuputty, and Michelle. Even at the 2016 Olympics, I knew beforehand that Sindhu would be stretched to three games against Michelle, which she did, and possibly even lose to her( gladly she didn't). The silver lining here is that Sindhu appeared much sharper than she had previously been. Her attack and follow-up have been good, but she has to improve her overhand and backhand sides. Footwork wise she looks okay but the defence has to go up, especially on the backhand side.

Poor Sindhu, its sad to see your favorite players getting old. but it will happen to them all.
Michelle is 33 and Sindhu is 29. It's Sindhu's fitness that's holding her back, not age.
@@kyla.s5838 You must be very young to say something that simple. Different people age differently, some people's joints go quickly other people have very fast metabolisms that burn-out quickly. Sayaka Hirota is a perfect example, her joints gave out when she was 27.

I thought the defencive side from Sindhu doesn't work today even play well, at 17 all there was chance for her, but last minute moment has changed...will see in China master😢😢😢
@@Rjvdbyexactly li had a solid defence she was diving around retrieving everything..... Sindhu had poor defence .....
Age somtimes can not lie
They both played well, however I personally Sindhu needs a better coach. She is at most playing only 50% of her potential under her current coaching team.

Sindhu has changed her coaches many times since Tokyo Olympics. She can't stick with one. I think it's high time to stop blaming Sindhu's form to just her coaches.

Dont know why but I feel Sindhu playing with yonex rackets looks more accurate and powerful in her attack and control.With Li ning also she is able to produce good attacking shorts but all of them are defendable but her control in a rally is lost.She should try a change as she is playing with Li Ning rackets for more than 5 years
She won wc with li ning. Its not about racquet but who is the handler

She has lost singles agility bit skills, power and game can still be lethal in doubles.

only incapable and unsuccessful single players turn double. Not successful and highly achieved players like Sindhu. She will retire respectfully but will never play double.

PV Sindhu career is declining since her leg fracture in 2023 . All great career comes to end at one day.
But worrying thing is that new generation players are up to mark till now .

Her leg fracture happened in 2022. She had 2 years to recover, but never managed to. In contrast, Michelle Li is 4 years older, had ACL surgery in 2023, but she managed to return to form faster than Sindhu.
