I purchased a Delta 2 in November 2023. I've already had a PSDR Board failure after very mild use. I'm hoping it is just an anomaly. If they promote the battery life for 10 years worth of use etc. why not offer a compelling warranty to back the product. @ElliotFisher-rd4kz You're correct 100% I don't understand why people do see the marketing gimmicks, if a board or other components fail, obviously the warranty is trash, yeah the battery may last 5 years and more, but if those components fail, you have an expensive brick, that is useless, if your charge controller, inverter, fans etc fails than what? ecoflow and every other company fails to mention any of that, they all state the same gibberish DOD use can last 10 years, when in reality there is has been more refurbished units the first year of release I noticed right away months after delta 2 dropped, refurbished units on the market for sale.

If there was a easily removable hard plastic mesh piece that could be washed off, dried and snapped back in place instead of popping up the trim ring, and then cover that would be awesome.

hello. I would like to know what kind of individual batteries it has. it was also good to put it side by side with a 12v lifepo battery used in motorhomes with separate inverter and mppt for those who already have all these last items installed many times at the factory in motorhomes, if even so it is worth changing and purchasing the ecoflow. I would also like to see stress tests on lifepo 12v batteries with inverter connected to microwaves, coffee machines ....
Awesome to see how's the "grounding" done so I can show this to my house electrician. The reason is the terminology in US and in EU is a bit different and some old-style techs are speaking a different language, so explaining what's a floating ground etc. is a bit of a mess, showing him this video def. helped a lot
@@EcoFlowTech I would kindly ask to make a video how to properly run your house in EU standards off a D2. There's a plenty of such videos regarding US-style power systems, but none - regarding EU. Currntly there's a 3 standard schemes here - with two cords (phase and neutral, which also serves as "ground"), with three cords (phase, neutral, ground), and a three phase system which can be in two variations - neutra, phase 1, phase 2, phase 3, and - neutral, phase 1, phase 2, phase 3 and a separate ground (which later connects to neutral at station or at billing counters). A lot of people are seeking on a way how they can power home appliances here, including lighting in apartment in residental areas, and some are starting to make mistakes connecting their D2 to wall outlets - seeing some videos with a simple automat system with two cords and trying to replicate this on three phase system without any knowledge on how unsafe it is. It would be awesome if Ecoflow would record a standard safety video with do's and dont's regarding 220v standard systems
like - what kind of cords you should use to power a home off a D2 (their size, wiring scheme - grounded or not etc), how to make a power split system when one can switch from a D2 and back to wall power etc etc etc
official answer: Because Delta 2 is great for powering a whole woodworking shop with saws and polishing machines etc. Real answer: we wanted to make video public soon and it was real close and convenient option. Please forgive my honesty.😅
Ordered one with solar panels just incase another texas storm happens and we lose power I have the gas generator 4x4 xj fire wood and propane ect this just something I can use anytime
How about a delta 2 battery tear down / hack to add something that can be used as as a stand alone, say USB slots with an on off switch, where we can attached lights or charge items? - these things are just bricks otherwise, it would be great to have usb slots available.
Thank you for nice tear down video i will never ever buy ecoflow product mine has issue and still in warranty but they refuse to take any responsibility.
with all the complaints about the fan noise, I assumed that they would be impossible to replace.. clearly not the case! I don't see any reason why the fans couldn't be replaced with quieter ones if that becomes a big issue. Has anyone done a fan swap on their Delta Max?
Hi there! It is not recommended to dismantle the unit or replace the internal parts. You can try to upgrade your firmware to the latest version V1.6.2.52.
Thank you very much for this video. Can you please make a teardown video for the Delta 1? My unit is out of warranty and I need to service it. Seems like to separate the MPPT and Inverter boards, I have to desolder some wires coming from under the battery?
Hi sorry for my late reply! Generally the PV charging surge protector is not a must-have as our generators have overcurrent overcharge protection. If you think it is necessary to install an RSD or fuse for safety, you can use a 23/24Amp. Please note that the PV input current should not surpass the maximum solar input the generator can take.
1:50 isnt that the inverter board on top? Edit: Nope they put everything on that top board. Impressive Was expecting to see 32700/32650 LFP cells on the Delta 2. Now I gotta search and see what those cells are...kinda remind me of the 66160 LTO cells that Yin Long make.
Hello Can we replace the battery after all cycles done it means after many years when the battery died, how many volts is the battery if we replace it ? Thank you plz if you make a DIY video to replace the battery.
@@EcoFlowTech I had one questions in regards to over voltage protection when a storm or lightning hits solar will or could solar panel induce a heavy high voltage that could damage the eco flow mppt circuits ? Is this unit cover against those types of events the delta 2 and others how much warranty is available included from you guys if I purchased from Amazon ?
i just got my delta 2 and i see that max solar input is 500 watts 60 volts 15 amps what if my solar panel configuration ends up at lets say 600 watts 58 volts and 20 amps ? will it hurt the delta 2 to have more amps and or more watts coming into it or will it just not use anymore but be fine. ?
I just have to say . This guy doing the video is nice on the eyes . Thanks for the video my friend I have 3 different Ecoflow devices . Love them. 1 hour charging time is a game changer .
My Delta max isn't very old, it won't charge passed 70%, can it be returned to 99%? It happened suddenly, it was charging to 99%, and then overnight stopped at 70% and won't go back up.
Hi, could you pls check if you connect to EPS or use solar charging at night? And below is my advice: 1. Update your firmware, and you can tell me the SN number of your device. 2. Set the charging limit at 100% at EcoFlow APP. 3. Make sure the AC cable is well connected to the wall outlet. 4. Discharge the device to 10%. 5. If still can not work, you can record a video and DM us on FB, so that we can diagnose the problem better😎. Here is the link: facebook.com/ecoflowtech/
The XT60 connectors on our Delta 2 burned out and melted with only two 100 watt solar panels connected to it. And so I'm a little hesitant to just replace them and have the new connectors burn out and melt. Do you have any suggestions or any ideas about this? Thanks, Mike
Hi Mike! Sorry about that. It is likely that the solar charging cable is short-circuited or because of the loose connection with Delta 2. Would you mind contacting our after-sales team for a new cable via this email: support@ecoflow.com. Next time, you can observe whether the XT60 interface gets hot in use. Hope this helps!
@EcoFlowTech Thanks. I've also ordered a second Delta 2,, even though with our first one we charge it in town from the grid. We (a friend and I) have been off-grid for over ten years. The Lifepo4 batteries in the Delta 2 are excellent and we currently use it to boost out refrigerator and our freezer in the evenings when we get home. Our cable with the XT60 connector (solar type) may have been faulty, and I'm looking to replace the onboard XT60 connector as well.. I'm assuming that support can tell me the specifics on that, also. Thanks for your timely reply. - Mike
My Deltamax no longer charges from solar. Just quit charging from solar and 12v cable. AC is fine discharge or output is fine. Kind of useless to me at the cabin may have to get something else.
Hi, would you mind telling me the SN of your Delta Max? And, do you mean the car charging also can not work? When did this solar charging start to happen? Thanks!
@@EcoFlowTech S/N DAABZ5ZD9150655. Unit is for a remote cottage only used about 10 times but never on solar until last trip. Was charing off one 400 watt panel occasionally day one and two. Seemed to work fine but was overcast. Day 3 was intermittent clouds and was charging around 250 to 300 and was close to fully charged 98% when I went outside. Came back in and saw it that the output had shutoff so nothing was running in the cabin (fridge and laptop charging nothing major). Showed 99% charge. Turned the Delta back on and everything is fine except solar input now reads zero. There is a clicking sound from the Delta that stops when I unplug the solar cable. Noticed afterwards that 12v charging also shows zero input. AC input is fine so I can charge from the generator and output is fine. However the goal is to have solar and not run a generator constantly.
Thanks for the details. Could you upload your firmware and then try solar charging? The firmware you are using now is very outdated, which can be the main issue.

I made the mistake of trying to charge my delta 2 unit with 1200 watt gas generator without checking the htz output first. The screen showed the numbers jumping all around in value as far as watts input, then after a while the unit started clicking, then shut off. I tried turning on the ac ports, but they go out after a few seconds. What did i blow? The fuse? If so, can it be fixed?

I have a strange behavior of Ecoflow Delta 2 1024w power station. It is connected to the gas boiler and shows about 120 watts load. When the battery is charged it shows that it will work 8 hours on that load. After 4 hours of work, it shows that it charged 50%, but after that, it starts discharging very quickly and after about 10 minutes it shows 0%. So my boiler can work about 4-5 hours on this power station, instead of 8 hours. What can be the issue?
Hey Ihor! Please operate according to the below: connect the network to upgrade the firmware. And then calibrate the SOC 2-3 times (set charge and discharge 0%-100% in the app, discharge the power to auto shutdown and then charge the power to 100% without input. This is 1 time for the calibration of SOC). And it would be better if you could provide the SN of your product so that we can track the product problems nd offer more solutions.
@@EcoFlowTech Hi, I updated the firmware and made the charge/discharge procedure, it looks like it works better. Here's my driving question. Is the Delta 2 properly grounded? Meaning; if the Delta 2 is plugged into my household outlet, which is properly grounded to a 6' steak driven into the ground as well as my buried copper pipes, then can I leave my refrigerator, TV, Internet, and home computer system all plugged into my 4KWh Delta 2 Max system without concern of improper grounding issues? It's important. Lack of grounding was a major drawback of the Delta 1. If so, this opens a whole new door of usefulness! It becomes a "poor man's battery backup system" for our home solar system, complete with 30% federal rebate! If not, then what measures can I take to achieve proper grounding for these devices plugged into it?
Hi there, yes when Delta 2 is connected to an AC wall outlet, it is grounded. If you need to use it to charging your RV/EV, you might need a grounding adapter, check out here👉us.ecoflow.com/products/portable-power-station-grounding-adapter?variant=39987909984329

👍 Thanks, I needed that. Sooooo, you just borrowed a friend's wood working shop and apron to film this in, or what?
Awesome to see how's the "grounding" done so I can show this to my house electrician. The reason is the terminology in US and in EU is a bit different and some old-style techs are speaking a different language, so explaining what's a floating ground etc. is a bit of a mess, showing him this video def. helped a lot
Cool! Glad the video is helpful to you!🥰.
I think Ecoflow has anothet winner here. Definitely beats out all the rest.
Do these have a CMOS or other type of motherboard battery to retain settings?
3000 charge cycles is a lot. Which translates to about 10 years of use before going down to 80%.
@carltoncain9966 that's if the rest of the components hold up and don't brick the delta 2 rendering it useless paperweight.
Can you put extra fan to help cool down the battery during too much heat?
amazing!!
Trying to figure out why you would use a woodworking set for video featuring plastic and electronics.
official answer: Because Delta 2 is great for powering a whole woodworking shop with saws and polishing machines etc. Real answer: we wanted to make video public soon and it was real close and convenient option. Please forgive my honesty.😅
Ordered one with solar panels just incase another texas storm happens and we lose power I have the gas generator 4x4 xj fire wood and propane ect this just something I can use anytime
Smart choice!
How about a delta 2 battery tear down / hack to add something that can be used as as a stand alone, say USB slots with an on off switch, where we can attached lights or charge items? - these things are just bricks otherwise, it would be great to have usb slots available.
I have the delta 1 (1300). Wish I could just swap out the battery for the new chemistry.
He would have worn an eyeglass camera something like ordro ep5 so when he is looking down to drill we can see from his own perspective
wow that sounds pretty awesome, probably give it a try next time🤔
Does it void the warranty if we open the Delta2? Replacing the 40mm fans with Noctua fans for noise reduction looks doable.
did you try yet?
Thank you for nice tear down video i will never ever buy ecoflow product mine has issue and still in warranty but they refuse to take any responsibility.
with all the complaints about the fan noise, I assumed that they would be impossible to replace.. clearly not the case! I don't see any reason why the fans couldn't be replaced with quieter ones if that becomes a big issue. Has anyone done a fan swap on their Delta Max?
Hi there! It is not recommended to dismantle the unit or replace the internal parts. You can try to upgrade your firmware to the latest version V1.6.2.52.
Steep price tag but the build quality is spot on!
just ordered a DELTA 2 today
Tell me more after you test it!😁
Can you replace the internal battery?
Thank you very much for this video. Can you please make a teardown video for the Delta 1? My unit is out of warranty and I need to service it. Seems like to separate the MPPT and Inverter boards, I have to desolder some wires coming from under the battery?
Hi Kris, can you specific the problem you come across?
When using solar panel, is it recommended to add extra safety devices like DC SPD or like when connected to Ecoflow powerstation?
Hi sorry for my late reply! Generally the PV charging surge protector is not a must-have as our generators have overcurrent overcharge protection. If you think it is necessary to install an RSD or fuse for safety, you can use a 23/24Amp. Please note that the PV input current should not surpass the maximum solar input the generator can take.
Got a question what can I do with a delta 2 that won’t charge anymore? Left it plugged in believe battery overcharged?
will it blend ?
blend what? sorry didn't get your question

1:50 isnt that the inverter board on top? Edit: Nope they put everything on that top board. Impressive
Was expecting to see 32700/32650 LFP cells on the Delta 2. Now I gotta search and see what those cells are...kinda remind me of the 66160 LTO cells that Yin Long make.
i think 46160 but those are 25 to 30 amps.. maybe they oversized the battery or used less cells 14 or 15 for pack nominal voltage 50.4 i think
Can you make a video to talk about the fuse inside delta 2 and how to replace them?
Hello
Can we replace the battery after all cycles done it means after many years when the battery died, how many volts is the battery if we replace it ? Thank you plz if you make a DIY video to replace the battery.
Hi you can exchange the battery if it is broken within the warranty. We do not suggest DIY replacing the battery.
I’m impressed at those huge improvements on the battery cells wonder what chemistry bd voltage they carry now it look like huge capacity?
The battery pack voltage is 51.2V (single battery cell is 3.2V)🤗
@@EcoFlowTech that’s awesome they look so cool cylindrical all in one pack and powers a lot of stuff
@@EcoFlowTech I had one questions in regards to over voltage protection when a storm or lightning hits solar will or could solar panel induce a heavy high voltage that could damage the eco flow mppt circuits ? Is this unit cover against those types of events the delta 2 and others how much warranty is available included from you guys if I purchased from Amazon ?
i just got my delta 2 and i see that max solar input is 500 watts 60 volts 15 amps
what if my solar panel configuration ends up at lets say 600 watts 58 volts and 20 amps ?
will it hurt the delta 2 to have more amps and or more watts coming into it or will it just not use anymore but be fine. ?
I just have to say . This guy doing the video is nice on the eyes . Thanks for the video my friend I have 3 different Ecoflow devices . Love them. 1 hour charging time is a game changer .
Cool, thanks!😎
My Delta max isn't very old, it won't charge passed 70%, can it be returned to 99%? It happened suddenly, it was charging to 99%, and then overnight stopped at 70% and won't go back up.
Hi, could you pls check if you connect to EPS or use solar charging at night? And below is my advice:
@@EcoFlowTech my Unit has returned to normal operation, thanks for the help.
Could you read off the PD controller IC's for the 100W PD ports next time you do one of these?
Yep, sure!
Damn man, im interested in those blades on the wall behind this kidd!!! Any info?
I am getting ready to go vanlife full time and need to know what is better for the price ecoflow or jackery and don't wanna waste my money

are those 46160 ? ? i think yeap
The XT60 connectors on our Delta 2 burned out and melted with only two 100 watt solar panels connected to it. And so I'm a little hesitant to just replace them and have the new connectors burn out and melt.
Do you have any suggestions or any ideas about this?
Thanks,
Mike
@EcoFlowTech
Thanks.

It looked to me like the Delta 2 had 8 cells exposed inside, so is it nominally a 24V battery with 40Ah cells?
That's a close guess. It's actually 48V with 20Ah cells.
@@EcoFlowTech True. In another teardrop video, which I watched later, it showed that there are indeed 4 x 4 cylinders. From this video, it did not appear to my eyes at any point.
How many life cycles on the Delta mini? Can we replace the batteries? Thank you
its 800 cycles, but battery pack is not replaceable
Thank you.
The Delta 2 came out immediately after I bought the mini. 🙃 And the mini was a huge purchase for me. 🔋 So wish ... 🕰 💨 I’m reading even if I don’t use it often it’s only about three years life for the battery? I tried my best to study. 😜
@@phoenixjordan7784 i bought my delta 2 and one month later they discount it 200 euros .. bad thing is one week after purchase it the first ever video of delta max2 apeared. wish i waited a bit longer .. so much double capabilities
Hi there, could you try shut down the unit, place it there for a while and re-turn on it. Please also contact our support team👉support@ecoflow.com with a video and your unit's serial number.

SUPER!
I have a Delta mini and need 15a (12v) during the start up of the heater for my van - is there any way to bridge the 12v car output and 2x 3a outputs?
There is no way to bridge. It is recommended that you use a DC to AC adapter to charge through AC.
It is hard to do it properly 3 times because EcoFlow powers the gas boiler and light in the class of kids academy in Ukraine. We have electricity outages almost every 4 hours, because of the russian attacks. So EcoFlow Delta 2 is very helpful in that situation. Thanks for your support!
Could the delta 2 charge a battery or batteries that are not the same brand?
Hi there, if you use a 120V AC charging cable to charge the other battery, it is fine. However we do not recommend charging via self wiring.
Anyways to turn off the Bluetooth feature?
what are the dimensions for battery pack for EcoFlow delta
Hi there, sorry for late replay, it is around 525*267*376mm.
Mine is on its last leg and I've only had it 18 months. 😢
Hi sorry about that. Would you mind telling me your case/order number? I will prioritize it.
Do you know the voltage of the internal battery pack for Delta I?
Hi for DELTA 1300, the voltage is around 50.4V.
Did somebody know the dimension of the lifepo4 cells ?
It's not 32700 and it seems too wide to be 38120 or 38140 🤔.
It is 40135!
I'm curious what size those monster cells are
Love it, would love to use it together with solar for my apartment and balcony and ofc. Camping 🏕️
Are those 4860 cells?
Hi there, I am afraid they are not.
I got my Delta 2 17th of November 2023 and in February 2024 the one fan started making high pitch bearing sounds, not impressed cause its quite an expensive product
