I’m just getting started in leather working. And this project has given me a great idea to make a set of tubular saddle bags for a motorcycle. I’ll let you know how they turn out.
If I had these machines, if I had this equipment ... Many people think so, but the main thing is desire, talent and hands! As always - very cool! Greetings from Russia!!! I would even say - From Mother Russia (if you play computer games)))
Very impressive. You make it look so easy. I'd be in A&E department if I ever tried to make a bag from scratch. All I really wanted to know is, can I glue plywood to leather, and do I have to sand it first?
It's a cool project! I guess if I were to do anything different, based on what I've seen you do here, I would layer the cork to make it much thicker, then round the edges with router/round over bit. That way I'd hopefully make it a bit more like a water canteen shape, less like a drum (I guess). Maybe I'd try some branding on the cork also, just to make a bit of visual interest in that space. Hope that makes sense! :D Enjoyed the vid, as always.
That is a Really Good Quality I kinda like how he made this round Bag it's very solid Compair to our model bag now aday's that can esay to break in just a month I will buy this if it's available in his Store
I would say plywood is too heavy for this kind of project. Maybe a resin-doped fabric weave would be better 'next time'. Would be much thinner and lighter. But you'd have to form it with a lip, like a very shallow bowl and sew it on instead of nailing. I really like these weird ideas :) Turned out great!
OLD LEATHER SMITH here, a few ideas, I believe 14-16 oz Leather would also work, your snaps will fail in the long run, they R called glove snaps because of not much use, #20 & #24 will last and yes your tacks will work in leather, I have done it in the past, GOD'S BLESSINGS ✝️⚾🙃
Another fun project! Although driving in. That many brass tacks probably was a bit boring after the first fifty or so. Be well, stay safe, and take good care!
My only critique is that it seems too inflexible for a bag to carry around. The wood reinforces the sides but also keeps it from adjusting at all, laying against the wearer in any comfortable way. But I like your technique a lot. Keeps me watching your amazing videos.
At 8m40s, one of your nails starts going into the wood crooked; when this happens I drive the rest with a pin punch / drift pin / nail driver things, and gently coerce it back into a vertical-ish position.
Nicely done , l liked the technique of nailing the two discs for sanding to a piece of the scrap they were cut from , l hate waste . May l point out that the camouflage you were wearing in some of the scenes was not working , we could still see you . Hopefully that was not you displaying the finished product . I'm not judging, l'm only saying it really wouldn't go with the beard . 😁😁

Nice job. What type of drill bit at 7:25? TIA.
Beautiful bag! I love that your channel includes different types of projects using different types of materials.
All those nails at the end, there is no way I would have the patience for that, one by one. Respect.
"Black Bear?" New line of accessories.
Black beer))
That's the Mrs line.
Shoe's to go with that bag ?
You're good with your hands. It's great to see someone who can make things like this.👍
I gave my daughter a round purse for Christmas. Made in Ecuador, fine basket weave style. They lightly smoked it, giving it a sweet scent.
...looks good to me, great job,...stay safe..
Semplice e perfetta, molto bella!
BEAUTIFUL!!! BBP!!! thank you, you are very talented in all sorts of things. Thanks for posting.
If that was you modelling the bag at the end, you look good in a dress!!😀
Next project: High heeled cork sneakers. 😁

I like that leather. Don’t know if it’s good or bad. But it has a beautiful color.
Très beau travail 👌🏼
Русские всюду. Откуда спрашивается? Но молодцы.
Kind of cool. Looks a lot like a canteen. I’d be curious to see a version with a wider gusset.
Great video
Amazing sir

Turned out great!
When you paint the edges use melamine sponge instead of brush
A little bit wider, some cushioning inside and it's perfect for headphones... or a pair of 3M Peltor :)
Looks like an oversized water canteen.
Excelente.
как всегда круто...👍
А я 16-ый.. как всегда, лайк!
