You are so thoughtful in your design! Thank you for leaving in your "recalculations" it is good to see your thought process. Your instructions are so clear and easy to follow. I love your channel!! Keep up the good work!
Subscribed! This is the 2nd video of yours I saw. Your enjoyment, happiness and enthusiasm at your gorgeous finished step is lovely and infectious! I've always wanted to do a round-robin, it's on my quilting-bucket-list. I'm going to binge-watch your older episodes and am looking forward to what you post in the future! Cheers! 😄
Haha yes, my fav subject in school. I always wanted to be a maths teacher. The block will now go to someone else from our quilt bee and she will be adding something new to it. I'll share the process in a next video in a few months.
helen gosling Hi Helen, ah sorry I now see that the title of the video is a bit confusing. I'm the second person working on this block, so I didn't make the star block. It it a exchange project from our quilt bee. So everyone works on a block an then pass it on to someone else of the bee. I'll include the progress of all the blocks in the next round robin video. Here you see the block I started with:
A woman from her quilt guild did the first part not Irene that's why she is showing her part. Perhaps she should have said something other than part 2.
Hi! Ah yes Angela is right, the title of the videos confusing. I'm the second person working on this block, so the start was made by someone else. With the a round robin project you get a block from someone else. Then you add something to it. And then you pass it on to someone else to continue working on it and so on.
Yess! Thanks for explaining Angela 💕 I should have explained it a bit better in the video I guess. In the next video I'll show the progress of all the round robin blocks I've worked on!
Nah, no such thing. ;) Maths is beautiful, as is precision patchwork. If you don't like the maths, but want to use half square triangles, search for "half square triangle cheat sheet". On these sheets someone has already done the maths for you, and you can just read off the sizes of starting squares you need to use to get the correct size.
I LOVE what you did with this....it added so much to the star.
I absolutely love your videos. You are a refreshing and lovely lady with great ideas.
Wonderful I totally love that block it would look great as a whole quilt.
I was so nervous for you to work out those calculations BUT WOW you were amazing. Excellent work. I am bad at maths. Thanks for your calculations

Wow!! Excellent addition. I would be VERY happy with your contribution if that was my starter block.

That block is just perfect!!! You did an amazing job building onto someone else's block. The half-square triangles really complement the centre block.
April Buckland thank you so much! It was so much fun to work on. Quite challenging to choose a design, but very happy with how it turned out.
Your videos always make me happy 😊
Very cool! Love it and I love your videos too
Gorgeous block
Love this block. I use e-quilter for my designing. That way I can draw the block and it does the math. Telling me what sizes to cut.
I love your block!

Really nice add, it is so awesome to see the interpretation that the next person does. Love your mathematical skills very good!!

Where is part one of the rainbow star?
A woman from her quilt guild did the first part not Irene that's why she is showing her part. Perhaps she should have said something other than part 2.

Help. Can't find part 1 rainbow star or any reference to round robin. Can you help me?
Irene did not make the star a member of her quilt guild did it she just got to do the second round. Hope this helps.

That solves the mystery. Look forward to seeing progress. Ps. Love the colours!
How to attach a walking foot
Hi Heather, that depends on the type of machine you have. If you're machine comes with a walking foot it should be in the manual.
Good tutorial ☺.but you lost me with the math...sorry, I have never understood A+B= ??
Too much math 😖😜

Maghouin Beg -chill out! I was joking! Irene has done the math for us.
I'm perfectly chill. :) That's because I know how wonderful maths is. :oP
Hahaha yess you love it or hate it I guess! 😜:D
