Great review! I agree, I don’t understand the fuss for the Powermatic 80. I’ve never had an issue with mine, and the use of silicon parts helps protect against magnetism. Delugs strap looks amazing!
I am a big fan of my PRX. It has actually started to phase out of my college, but once I saw the CTS strap from Delugs it makes me want to wear it again.
Cool video. I git the sam egredn one. Love the Green. I ordered a rubberstrap. Cant wait to get it 😂 have fun with your prx. One of the best watches oit there
I received the Tissot black rubber strap for my blue dial prx today. The bracelet is almost what made me buy the watch originally but I dont feel comfortable wearing it every day, the rubber strap definitely offers renewed interest and more wrist time overall, which is a more healthy way of practicing your hobby, rather than just buying something new. The shape of the case is more pronounced on the rubber strap which is something to consider, but I dont mind it at all. I actually think it makes it look more original.
Picked up a Black P80 40mm this summer on the bracelet and love it, EXCEPT for that crown!!! Right there with you on that and it's not just big mitts that can't wind that non-existent, stubby thing. Any luck finding a two position, direct replacement with a bigger crown?
I have the Tudor Royal 41 and that crown is nearly perfectly sized but that's not in the price range of the PRX. BUT I would say the Royal is well worth the price on the used market!
I’m a sucker for anything vanilla-scented too! Lol I own the 40mm in blue and I honestly wish I could’ve waited to buy the 35mm… Mine is running pretty darn well and that bracelet when the light hits it just right is such a treat. Had mine for about 4 months and it ain’t leaving my collection any time soon. Unless… I succumb to my low-key desire to sell or trade mine to get the 35mm down the road for my 6” wrists >.< Great review! (Love the moustache by the way…) 😜
I also bought one with the ice blue dial... man i should say this thing is a masterpiece for the price... only drawback is the lume ! the best bang for the buck also the rubber strap is awesome
How has the PVD gold one worn? Id like to get the gold one but i wear my watches frequently so i dont want to get it if is going to lose the gold color fast
So the case back is mineral glass, even though it says safire glass on the back? I am thinking of getting a P M 80 Prx, but I haven't been able to find any info about the case back glass.
Hey, you gotta try that on your wrist. I have a 6.5 inch wrist also and the 40 mm PRX fits perfectly. The 35 is too small for me, and I don't like oversized watches. It depends on your particular bone structure.
I have the 40m on 6.5 or 6.75" (can't remember). It's borderline, and I'm pretty picky with fit. I does kind of span my while wrist, but no overhang. Overall it works. Sometimes when I look at it, it seems big. But when you look in a mirror and see how it wears from that perspective, it's perfect. I originally got mine before the 35mm came out but knew they were going to make a smaller version (though was expecting it to be 37mm.) I figured I would just rock the 40 and try on the eventual smaller one and just sell the 40 at a minor loss and get what would end up being the 35mm auto. Was kind of disappointed they went with 35, but figured since the 40 wears larger, the 35 would wear like a 37. Finally got around to trying a 35 (though I already decided to stick with the 40 since I got used to it). Trying the 35 was just a curiosity at that point and shockingly, it actually wears like a 35 lol. I found it wore too small. (And I wear other watches that are 36-38 no problem.) The PRX strap options will reduce the effective lug to lug both in practice and optical illusion. They'll immediately drop off the case and hug the wrist.
Nice review. I like the PRX a lot as I have the 40 and 35mm in blue. I don’t like it more than the CW 12. I think the extra money, is worth the better quality. I can’t wait for Delugs to create a rubber strap, for it. The CW 12 rubber straps are 👎
I tried it on, didn't really feel comfortable. The only watch that I have that I don't really like the feel is a tissot. It's the tissot heritage memphis gent. They included these fake leather straps that never really conformed to my wrist, also one was brown which did not go at all with the color combination of the watch, so I switched it to a leather strap, it looks nicer but still feels awkward I think because of their weird lug design on that model. probably won't go with a tissot again for that reason. some aspects of the finishing are not as nice as my fancier watches, but for the price it's not bad
@@stevepapa Yeah I learned that now, I no longer will not buy anything I don't try on first. watches are a bit too expensive to make mistake purchases.
.....this is a very nice looking watch at a favorable price point. why, why, why did tissot replace the stock pivot fork and escape wheel with plastic? the base eta movement on which the power-matic 80 is based was already free sprung. hamilton and others using this stock eta movement did not do this. very good looking watch, but i'd have to pass.
It depends on what you're looking for in a watch and I always viewed the PRX as a temporary watch in my collection and not one that I would keep for my entire life. But I get your point!
Nobody opens their watch to look at plastic. Great watch. It will last a lifetime, if you treat it like a Rolex. I have cheaper automatic watches from over 10 years ago, and they still run fine. Nothing is broken.
I don't think there will be any issues with the plastic components and if there are, well I don't mind a new movement in my watches at this price point.
The original Tissot rubber strap is 60€ ... delugs is more than 2x the price. Even though they seem to be quite nice, I'm hesitating to buy a strap because of the extreme price.
Now here’s a guy that looks like he’s way deep into conspiracy theories…
It's all a simulation

That's good to hear! Delugs did a great job!
I am a big fan of my PRX. It has actually started to phase out of my college, but once I saw the CTS strap from Delugs it makes me want to wear it again.
Yeah it changes the look of the watch dramatically and makes it wear completely differently!
Leaf spring gives you that added security that a safety clasp would. Never seen this technology before. Nice find.
Thanks brother! Definitely a secure clasp!
Thank you for the great video, now I'm considering getting the CTS for my MING 17.09.
I would highly recommend it!

Great review, I've always seen delugs promote the rubber strap. They made a smart choice making rubber straps for it. The PRX blew up
Thank you! Delugs did a great job!
What lud width did you choose for a prx 40mm, also does it vary based on user or is it standard depending on the watch
Well done review!
Thank you!
Great strap !!

Yeah the 35mm may be perfect for your wrist size! Could be worth the trade!
Can you make a video of how to remove the original bracelet and put the delugs rubber strap on? Just bought one in navy for my prx
I could make a video but it wouldn't be for a while. It's not too bad at all! Plus I have little run down in my video.
I also bought one with the ice blue dial... man i should say this thing is a masterpiece for the price...
only drawback is the lume !

Nice! The ice blue looks great!
Getting mine Friday so exited, i am new to watch collecting and this will be my first ever time piece that is expensive any tips etc to care for it?
@@mrdank3111 Make sure the crown is pushed in before jumping into water! Just wear it and enjoy!
Thank you, i think i am getting the Seiko 5 Sports GMT SKX today, then the auto prx for my 18th@@stevepapa
I've got the green, I'm interested in changing the strap. Great information 👍🏼
Thanks! Yeah it change up the look a lot!
How has the PVD gold one worn? Id like to get the gold one but i wear my watches frequently so i dont want to get it if is going to lose the gold color fast
mine has held up fine but I don't wear it that often!

I don't have an issue with the display caseback being mineral glass since it's laying across your skin and shouldn't scratch.
PRX always putting in work. It's the GShock 5600 of Sports Watches
Now that's a comparison!
What color green is that band? On the Delugs site they have Emerald Green but your strap looks like a darker green
I have the Emerald Green but it can look darker in different lighting, just like the PRX dial!
Wow, the new digital version looks cool, really 70's retro. Just released.
Nice! I'm going to have to check that out!
Where did you get the tool for removing the bracelet?
Esslinger.com
Does the strap reduces it's effective lug to lug distance compared to the bracelet?
It's difficult to accurately measure the exact effective lug to lug but I would definitely say so!
@@stevepapa Thank you! I might get the rubber strap for the PRX chrono.
good review
Thank you!
looks good
thank you!
is the 40mm version too large on a 16,5cm / 6.5 inch wrist?
Many people have said that but now they have a 35mm option!
Hey, you gotta try that on your wrist. I have a 6.5 inch wrist also and the 40 mm PRX fits perfectly. The 35 is too small for me, and I don't like oversized watches. It depends on your particular bone structure.

How much has it scratched over two years of wear?
About the same as you'd expect. Normal desk scuffs and scratches.

I still need to try out the CW12! It's on my list!
I bought the ice blue version. My only criticism is the crown is tiny and winding it feels tight and is awkward.
The crown is a bit undersized but I haven't had an issue with it. Not like the Citizen Tsuyousa!
@@stevepapa I may nip back to the dealer and see if other PRX watches are as hard to wind as my Seiko watch spins so nicely when winding.
It’s the stache I subscribed for 😅
hahahaha nice!

@@stevepapa Yeah I learned that now, I no longer will not buy anything I don't try on first. watches are a bit too expensive to make mistake purchases.
The crystal is sapphire, not mineral fyi.
I was talking about the mineral crystal on the exhibition caseback

Delugs cts straps are good but literally overpriced. Quarter amount of the actual price of prx which is ridiculous
Didnt know Henry cavill was into watches too
hahahahaha
Delugs should be ashemed of themselves, the price on these straps are absolutely insulting
With the clasp, custom cut to fit the integrated case, and the FKM rubber itself I'd say its worth the price but I can see where you're coming from
The original Tissot rubber strap is 60€ ... delugs is more than 2x the price. Even though they seem to be quite nice, I'm hesitating to buy a strap because of the extreme price.
