Yaesu should not have sold a radio with an 11 meter band crystal position. It sold more radios. But many ended up used and abused in the hands of CB'rs BTW, there are two Jones plugs numbering standards for the power connector on the FT-101. If you use the wrong one, you will literally blow-up the radio. That's a common issue with the 101's that get separated from their power cords.

Hey Mower Junkie! I love your radio video. I am a ham operator but I still love the CB radio. I just put in a small 40 year old Sears Roadtalker 40 channel in my 2019 Chevy Malibu. I tell you what,, I am having so much fun with that radio. I go out of town from time to time and love talking with the drivers on the road. I wish I could put a SSB in the car but it will be to big to put in. I saw you got a Kenwood TS-50, Don't get rid of that radio. I used to have one and I put a power mic on it and it work great! I think it was a Cobra power mic. Will my friend may the radio gods keep you with lots of radio to play with. Take care.

The expression Pennies from Heaven is an understatement. There are Shelters for a lot of things, dogs, cats, etc, I think you can start one for radios! Or with this lot I think you just did.

What an amazing find I would love to acquire equipment like that free , but for me, at the same time, I also see this as an increasing trend since much of the generation of CB'ers and many HAM operators too, are slowly but surely passing on. In my area ( Vancouver Island Canada) the local CB scene, aside from a few very distant and scattered SSB'ers, is pretty much dead since our most longtime active CB old timers have all passed away. its a good bet in other areas there will be a huge future flood of very cheap or even free radio related stuff for those lucky to the opportunity.

I had one for my 2000 but unfortunately it got broke by one of my kids. so now it on the shelf until i can afford to replace it. they are quite pricey on the web. 73s and have fun with all the new gear.
