Ich müss sage dass ich liebe 318is! So viele spass mit kleine Hubraum. :) ...Will auch eine gute 318is kaufen... :D Selbst fahre ich ein E60 530xdA und denke dass IS gibt mehr Freude am Fahren :D
The sedan Version is the lightest ! 4 Door Sedan (M43 115hp) = 1235kg / 2722,7 lb 318ti Compact = 1275kg 318is (Coupe) = 1335kg 4 Door Touring (M43 115hp) = 1355kg 318 Cabrio (M43 115hp) = 1445kg
darf man fragen was man ca. für das auto zahlt? ich bin aktuell auf der suche aber das Budget gibt leider nicht viel her, alles fürs bike drauf gegangen:D
You stopped the clock at 100 km/h according to speedometer but this is not the real 100 km/h. You have to continue accelerating up to around 104 km/h to reach the true GPS speed of 100 km/h. So, your real time is something around 9.5 s.
@@neutrida5091 that's not how it works AT ALL. My E36 328i has 6 km/h error - the speedometer says 100 while GPS speed is only 94 km/h... If you enjoy lying to yourself, fair enough. But it's not a good test.
@@FStan-co8vv thats not what I meant. Think about it, most videos are measured this way because it's easier. It's not a bad comparison because most other runs are measured this way. Also those 0.5 seconds are really nothing to cry about it's not competitive anyways and every video should be taken with a grain of Salt anyway. Also it could: be downhill or uphill, have different diff ratios, performance mods etc. without us knowing anyway
That engine is very old for a BMW, I would not trust a BMW after the first 5 years or 100k km unless you have endless pounds to throw away on it. Great cars if you buy them new and trade it in every few years though. Wouldn't recommend them as an aftermarket parts car even if you are rich, because what is the point? If you are actually wealthy you will not want a BMW in the first place.
i have the same car as this guy. 96 e36 318is and lemme tell you i trust it more than a honda. it doesnt have no vvt just ignition retarding. and i redline this shit and bounce off the rev limter and this car has 180k miles and not a single issue since i got it
Have you even owned an E36? From that comment I suppose you haven't. I've been thrashing my E36 around all year long without a single problem ever. E36s are built like tanks and the engines are bulletproof and can run for up to 300k kms. Something I can't say not only for newer BMWs but for newer cars in general. If you don't have personal experience please don't comment whatever you see online.
I have 1996 318ti with 308000 km and works excelent for its age, im planning on driving it for 10 more years and put it in garage for display if it becomes too expensive to repair after that
i will just thrust old BMW Engines with 200k and more ! Old BMW's are rock solid, not like this downsized Turbo Engines like today or crap enignes (N45) where the timing chamber burst (E87) into pieces I got 4 BMW's 2 x E30 325i (M20B25) 1988,1991 1 x E30 316 (M10B18) 1987 with Carburetor 1 x E36 318ti 1997 (M44B19) and all run smooth and without Problems. oldest Engine got 200.000km newest 238.000km

0:38 how this can be correct if compact is around 140 kg lighter than sedan version?
The sedan Version is the lightest !
4 Door Sedan (M43 115hp) = 1235kg / 2722,7 lb
318ti Compact = 1275kg
318is (Coupe) = 1335kg
4 Door Touring (M43 115hp) = 1355kg
318 Cabrio (M43 115hp) = 1445kg
