As a fan of Marvel, I have to caution Marvel. You can put out a movie that fans and critics alike love and it can be a huge box office success, but that doesn't give you license to produce crap. If Deadpool is a hit, you have to follow it up with another great movie and/or show.

Don’t think quantity has been the issue. Hiring writers, directors and actors who don’t know or care to know the source material, and pushing different ideologies and messages versus setting out to make great content are the bigger reasons. Until they address this, they will continue to put out 💩
I firmly believe they are running with this excuse, rather than admitting their decisions to push their own beliefs over putting out well written, and well done movies.
Hiring people who don't care was cause they were rushing things. Thus if quality was put center stage they can have the luxury to be more selective on who they invest their energy onto.

I'm very happy to hear that from Kevin feige and the rest of Marvel studios. I'm obviously excited for Deadpool and Wolverine, but I'm glad they have acknowledged their own mistakes and flaws on the rest of the projects that came out. Gives me hope that the MCU comes back strong.
Watching episode 9 of X-Men 97 was straight 🔥🔥🔥!!!! Dude, they adapted Fatal Attractions by doing the scene where Magneto rips the Adamantium from Wolverine. Brutal!!! But this just hypes me up for Deadpool & Wolverine.

Studios lie because they want your money and will say what they believe they need to say to get numbers up a lot higher to go see their movies. These videos on social media are an enormous waste of time. Talk is cheap.

Too many movies and shows does have something to do with it. If you’re giving the writers too much in a shorter amount of time, their ideas won’t be as good. But I think the biggest problem is no continuity between any of these movies. They all feel too standalone. Who’s the ultimate villain? We need a cohesive goal that the movies are trying to achieve.
This movie is more of a standalone movie about Wolverine & deadpool, it isn’t directly a sequel to deadpool 2 just as this isn’t supposed to be a straight wolverine sequel

I never abandoned ship because Marvel hit a few obstacles, as I maintained faith. A few incongruous moments within recent projects but definitely redeemable.

I see no real change. A supposed new Captain America film that supposedly will end up going up against at some point Red Hulk, but where is a non boring non extremely nerfed Hulk? Where is Thor, Hercules, someone with enormous strength to go up against Red Hulk? I wish would have removed certain shows and films and spent time bringing back a Hulk people much rather have, and built up for cap 4 an eventual confrontation between Hulk and Red Hulk as well as the Leader character.
The only solution needed: better quality.

I feel like the rough patch was only due to poor quality and not at all too much quantity. I only hope execs are not simply thinking if they make less those projects will do better. The story needs to be better.

They dropped the ball on The Captain Marvel sequel. They had the perfect opportunity to introduce a brainwashed/mind controlled Rogue as the main villain to take Carol Danvers flight and strength powers.
She was in space. Rogue rarely is in space. Would be way better if had while on earth, Rogue is working with someone who they reveal is Mystique and she absorbs Captain Marvel 's powers and she is in a coma, yet then would make Wandavision worse as they teased at the end of the series for Monica Rambeau I believe being called in for a job with Sword and I believe to meet an old friend, so teased basically Captain Marvel and Rambeau meeting.

I hope it does, but I don’t have much faith in that. Yes, Deadpool and Wolverine will be awesome and amazing. But I give all the credit to Levy and Reynolds. They know what’s up. The writing for most other Marvel projects has been subpar.

I will always be a die hard Marvel fan, but I have to admit I wasn’t fully satisfied with the most recent projects from Marvel Studios. The writing was bad and they tried pushing agendas too much. There have been several interview videos of the writers for each projects admitting they did not read any comics and wanted to create something new with their characters. THIS IS THE MAIN PROBLEM!!!!
Hard to get viewers interested in going through ten years or close to ten years worth of movies to get to the so called big baddie to take on the Avengers, if company is putting out new characters in horrible story telling, and baddie is not built up properly. Multiverse villain is difficult cause director can just say if one dies there are supposedly millions or whatever versions of them. What the heroes have to kill a hundred or whatever variants until they get to one that isn't defeated easily?

I like the Marvel movies and shows and I really enjoyed Ant-Man Quantum Mania and the Marvels.
The only Marvel project that disappointed me was secret invasion.

The Executive Producers know the way to shape a movie like this for the futures of the MCU. I'm not shocked and I'm not hyped because I will follow suit and get excited again.

I hate when a studio says they are listening to fans or we learned out lesson, yet keep having movies/shows made that look like they haven't read a single comic book on them beyond maybe an origin story at best and don't come off like they really give a rip about the hero or heroes they are doing in live action, and throw up ridiculous plot armor that it might as well be a Popeye cartoon. Oh Popeye doesn't have access to Spinach he can 4th wall and demand the artist to give him spinach. Poof Spinach is animated in. Hero in mcu is in trouble or they need to move the story forward let's insert several conveniences that make no sense in order to finish this badly written story.

The thing is even the “haters” will admit when something good comes out. Granted I get the hate on Loki even though I love it because people are just tired of multiversus so that’s understandable… but with the other projects that were good people did praise it. Wandavision (excluding the finale), Guardians, No Way Home, even Shang Chi were praised even if they had some flaws…

@@lexruptor No we don't need that show to be Loki, something cheaper and closer to the ground would be better. Like a show about a task force trying to go after the Power Broker, or a Defenders-like team that fights new, lower-level villains each week.
I appreciate and respect when leaders like Feige and D'Esposito admit their mistakes. I'm someone that has loved most of the projects after Endgame, but thise that have lacked the great quality have been massive misses, but hearing this, I'm positive the MCU will be peak once again, Cap 4, F4, Thunderbolts, Blade, Spider-Man 4, Daredevil, there's still so much Marvel has to give us and I'm positive they will deliver!
I've enjoyed most things that Marvel have released - growing up and reading comics in the 70s (and beyond), these were the movies and shows I really wanted to see! It was a long wait, but worth it 😁
I’m a marvel fan regardless, so I’ve enjoyed most of what came out, wasn’t a big fan of the Marvels but even that movie had its good parts but I do believe DP & Wolverine will be a money maker, question will be if what comes after can continue the momentum
I can honestly say that I have not minded the content that Marvel has put out since Infinity War and Endgame, that being said it is quite difficult for Marvel to follow such epic movies and create something that is on par with those. Hopefully Deadpool and Wolverine will be as amazing as we all think it will be! The trailers and hype certainly are leaning in that direction! LFG! THANKS FOR ALL THE AWESOME CONTENT MATE!

First, I’m a big fan of the idea of Marvel reducing output to focus on quality. But the “failures” of Marvel are wildly exaggerated. They’ve had 2 box office bombs in the last 10 years - 2 films released in between Guardians 3 and Black Panther 2, not to mention Thor 4 - all of which made a ton of money. This idea that they need saving is hilariously wrong and I think is a marketing ploy to increase hype for Deadpool and Wolverine. Which I am excited about.

It's just normies being dramatic because 2 movies and a show weren't exactly how they wanted em to be, She-Hulk was the only truely terrible thing to come out and it'll likely never happen again, not to mention they have Disney money, and therefore will likely never see a completely empty theatre, and will always have movies to make.
Marvel Studios can focus all their attention on Deadpool and Wolverine but, they are still not listening.
It is not about how many Movies or streaming series there are, it's about producing high quality, outstandingly written Marvel content, that does not push an unpopular and unwanted agenda onto its Fandom. That is what turns the Fandom away.
It will need more than one films/series to get them on track again and gain back some lost trust during this past years.
I enjoy the movies but I'll say this whenever i want to rewatch a movie i usually go back to the infinity saga movies

About time! Although they’ve been realizing their mistakes and slip ups incrementally, it’s a breath of fresh air to know that they’re actually verbalizing it. Some YT channels just kiss up to marvel studios, never admitting marvel’s obvious faults. It’s other channels who reasonably speak to the contrary that are making this difference. They are making others notice why the brand is slipping, and are actually challenging marvel. As is already stated tips for a better marvel: output reduction, stop letting allegiance to political messages take over the quality of storytelling and trump timeless principles, putting in interesting characters and character arcs, vfx retooling, I really hope they do improve, all in all positive news

I enjoyed the MCU after Avengers: Endgame. People just lost faith in it. But not me. I continued loving it as a true Marvel fan does. And doing three and two movies and series a year sounds fine by me. Can't wait and love the MCU!!!
