Finally I will start with this piece this weekend and it's been some time I saw your repertore video and decided to go with masterwork classics series and really excited to finish level 03 soon and get started with level 04. Thanks again for these materials.
Are you talking about digital or acoustic? For acoustic, it really depends on conditions, you should consult with a local piano technician; for digital, in general newer the better, however, different brands are all different. Hope this is helpful. - PTP Team
Hello Janci...Although I studied this piece a long time ago,I took pleasure watching your very instructive tutorial...However,you didn't insert the ornaments, lower mordents for most of them, except for the last one on bar 30..It impacts the fingering..I have a question: how should I understand in the second part, the quarter note rests on some of the notes(left hand)...Does it mean I have to hold the note longer, like a slur?...Being French,I'm trying to find the proper translation of "voicing"...Would it be "expressiveness","harmony",or something else? Thanks for your explanation...
Em is the relative key of G major, they share the same notes but in this context Em is more appropriate. If you compare it to measure 1, the first note starts with D, a fifth of G. Similarly, measure 17 starts with B, a fifth of E.
Hi, I don't understand why in the first measure you labeled one bar a "C Major 5-finger scale" when there is clearly an F# written and played. What am I missing? Aren't you still in G Major for the entire first measure?
I like your teaching. I am a beginner/re-learner and I have not seen any other RUclips instruction that is as useful as are these lessons.
On vacation but as soon as I get home I look forward to going through this tutorial. I enjoy your pedagogy.
Thank you for your master class lessons👏👏
Wonderful Musician and Wonderful Woman. Thank You so much
Thank you for the nice lesson!!

Dear Janci
I have a question is better to buy an old kawai or yamaha about 20 years old or a new Chinese piano?
Thank you 😊

why in measure 17 says Em scale ? It has no E note at all. It looks more like G scale.
