Pre GPS and Laser, Optical survey instruments like theodolites, transits and levels were awesome. One simply checks the needed measurement by recording 2 or 3 stations of the survey instrument, one from one end , one in the middle (if needed) and one set-up on the other end. average the readings and most instrument error is removed. I'm so glad for U, your Fairie Queene Chastel surely has excellent foundations underpinning her lace and fine appointments, superb construction accuracy, even footing settling. It speaks volumes about the exceptional original engineering and how it survived the fire still standing proud.

Like putting a Hartley on the roof, but only the back (I think its the south side) so you still get the aesthetic from the front of the chateau. Just like a mullet, business in the front, party in the back. And then you can keep that big open view and sunrises with sunsets. Stunning.

    Hey'a Dan, (and team)
I've gotta say that your drive and determination is inspiring, along with your spirit for your vision.
At the top,....and it really is about seeing it all from a new prospective view.
Keep it up, as I look forward to seeing more. My body is envious of watching you and wishes it could do as well as you do! 😅

They used a hose spirit level for the perfetct levelling of the the floors. I personally used this technic in my education as an carpenter. You just have to make sure there is not a single bubble in the water filled hose & it works perfect as we can see!

That's a million dollar view my friend! I'd put a big window in that arch with an easy chair inside to sit and play King of all you survey.

Dan that’s great news to see laser level with opposite roofed ring beam. Should go twice if not 3 times faster now. As you said opposite roof can be exact mirror carbon copy when measuring the cuts 👏 well done
