6. What is Transaction Control Language? Using COMMIT, ROLLBACK and SAVEPOINT commands in MySQL.

- Welcome to Everything Computerized. I'm CA and in this video I'll be going to explain you the Transaction Control Language (TCL) in detail and the different commands present in it.
There are 3 commands in TCL. These are COMMIT, ROLLBACK and SAVEPOINT.
I'll explain everything in detail, so watch this video till end.
Note:- MySQL does not support TCL commands by default. So if you want to know how to run TCL on MySQL, skip to 3:40 in the video!

Hi, I am faving a lot of issues in Rollback, the command I enter to rollback the last transaction doesn't show as desired. For ostance, I created a table 'xyz' and retrieved too, but when I open a new command line client or Mysql server, it doesn't show an "Empty Set" like yours, instead, it shows the table with inserted data as such. Pls help!
I already told in one of my videos that mysql runs commit command automatically..
For a transaction to start, u need to use START TRANSACTION command.. then only rollback savpoint will work..

Apko pehle savepoint use krna hoga, tbhi rollback hoga.. kyuki agar koi savepoint ni hoga, to rollback kis point pe hoga..

Bro not working in mysql work bench...
As I had told in the video, MySQL has a feature called Auto Commit which is by default on.
Even if you are using workbench, you have to start a transaction explicitly.
START TRANSACTION is mandatory in MySQL.

Actually, if I'll go slow, then it will be boring for many students, and vdos will be tooo long..
You can always go with custom speeds on the youtube app, so you can have it slow..
In my newer vdo, I have decreased my speed. Maybe thats good🙂.
