hey hi I do have a 2006 kx250f and is blowing oil from the breather tube a lot oil at the first time look loke a milk then is just oil nothing about level...do u have any idea what I should do??I see many guys on google said they have the same problem with kx bikes...thanks
I've had the same thing happen to this bike. It would puke a few ounces and then would be fine. Oil level would still read full. I even rebuilt the motor (I vids on the full rebuilt as well) and did not find anything out of the norm. The "milk" you saw was probably some moisture/water that mixed with oil. My advice would be to run it, let it puke, and keep a close eye on oil level. I can't explain why it happens.
my front drain bolt (8mm) is stripped so badly I had to silicone it back in. I change my oil often , but I only drain the 14mm. I try to rock the bike back to try and get all the oil. Do you think this is good enough?
Hey Matthew just curios to now if you could do a oil change video on a 2 stroke,i just recently bought a 2002 Kawasaki kx 250 and i am curios to now how you do a oil change on 2 strokes! all your videos are good learning experience keep up the good work! thanks
Hi… wondering what is that part called where the oil is stored at? It has a crack and causes oil to leak out and not sure about bikes at all. But it’s located underneath wear you took the bolt off to drain the oil.
I stripped the threads that held the small drain bolt (the one you unscrewed second) so I took it to a shop and asked if they could rethread it but all they did was seal it shut, they told me that bolt didn’t matter. Is that small drain bolt important? Or is all the oil able to drain out of the larger bolt? Thanks
This is hilarious as I was pulling the skid plate apart to get the small bolt I was thinking with my luck this fker will snap off. Then nothing came out of it anyways
hey man i have a question, i have a 07 kx250f and its the same engine as a 06 but i only take out the big bold not the 8mm i never knew about it, is that a big problem? and sometimes there will leak oil out of a tube that comes from the carb any idea? thanks for the video man
The large drain is for the trans, while the small is for the crank/engine sump. Majority of oil comes out the trans drain. The oil leaking out of the breather tube happens on these models for some reason. Just make sure to keep an eye on the oil level each time it pukes oil out.
rens van der peet I was too, but then it stopped. Then I did a little reading and it seems like they all tend to do that. Keep an eye on level and don't sweat it.
Hey mathew i did read in manual about .75 qt. it did state that..then later it does say 1.4L. Is that correct. Im sure it is. But why would manual state 3/4 qt. when its like dbbl..
hey man the oil doesnt show up on the little window on my kxf 450 2007 it only shows up when i tilt it a little to the side please let me know what you think.
Arnold, the bike has to be straight up and perfectly level. If the oil does not show in window then it is low. Keep adding to get fluid level within two marks next to sight glass.
@@HTMR thank you for the quick reply on an almost 5 year old video. I was starting to figure it was since the bike still runs like a bat outta hell. Where could i find a replacement bolt for the gearbox drain? I have the same tapping sound too. I actually figured it out and its the dia fram in the air filter side that goes next to the slide. If you take your air filter box off start it up and put slight pressure on it, it goes away.

Rob, the decals came with purchase and the owner has since changed them. Not sure where he got them from. Search ebay and you may find something.

It's called the crank case.
Any chance you know how to do a coolant flush on this 2004 Kawasaki?
Pretty much same as this: ruclips.net/video/UUXaLMc1h8c/видео.html
I just bought a 2008 Kx450f, is it the same process for an oil/filter change on my bike?
Not sure, haven't worked on your model and don't have the service manual.
So, on the KX250F, do the transmission and the engine have separate oil reservoirs? Or do you just refill it all in one fill hole with the same oil
Yes.
MatthewMCRepair okay thank you
So the 2008kx250 only has one engine oil reservoir?
