I have loved the music of Dire Straits & later even more so Mark under his own name, ever since I found a five pound note lying on the pavement in the town outside the record shop as a spotty youth & bought the first Dire Straits album with it. Golden Heart is my favourite track of all time & even with so many other of his masterpieces to choose from it still makes the hair stand up on the back of my neck...Thank you Mark for entertaining me & feeding my soul for the last 45+ years

My all time favourite road trip song. Last time was over the Lewis Pass in the South Island of NZ on an early autumn day without a cloud in the sky or another car 8n sight. Just me, Mark Knopfler and my 40 year old V8 Aston Martin.

Dear Mark, I saw you playing live during the last Dire Straits tour in 1992. You were truly fantastic, your way of playing the electric guitar without a pick, almost like an acoustic or classic guitar, is unique.
