- Pareja de jilgueros mexicanos en temporada de cortejo , los tuve que poner en este espacio ya que el macho esta muy agresivo con otro jilguero y un clarin con los que comparte amistad; pero las hembras son las hembras y cambian todo !!!! jejejejeje

I forget, again, what kind of birds these ones are called, but they seem perfectly happy being in the same cage together, & even with other type birds.Here's my question: Does a Cenzontle get along THAT WELL in a cage that size with other Cenzontles AND other type birds, too? Cuz I've notices how very territorial Cenzontles are... but maybe it all depends?
Hello Cynthia good afternoon, the name is backed brown solitaire and they can be together with another bird when they are very young.
Answering your question, i had few years ago two males Cenzontles and i díd put it together with Cardinals, Canaries, Robin, etc. and they had daily ritual figth dividing in a half the territory cage between both males without touching themselves only with little jumpings side to side.
Only if one of them transferred the imaginary line, the other one attacks inmediatly until the transspaser get back to it's own territory.
And yes all it depens of each individual mine!
@@juliocesarMatus Wow! Fascinating! So, with all those different birds in one cage/area...the two Cenzontles split the one cage's territory into two parts... One side for one Cenzontle & the other side for the OTHER cenzontle.... but they didn't pay any attention, & didn't mind, which sides, or territories, that the Cardinals, Canaries, or Robins were in???
@@flashlitestriker4028 that you Will see in other of my videos the territory's division is only on the same species and they don't pay attention on the others bird. Almost the same happen with males cardinal, the diferent is that the dominant male ocupation is on the all high territory an the submisive male on the don level.
Hola buenos días disculpa soy nuevo en esto y antes que nada un reconocimiento hacia ti por todo tu conocimiento sobre estas aves y mi pregunta es ¿ los clarines y jilgueros se pueden reproducir en cautiverio?
muchas gracias por tu comentario y sí, se pueden reproducir pero es extremadamente dificil, y debes considerar el que tengan bastante espacio, buena alimentación y limpieza.
Q hermoso y que bien cuidados los tienes pero sobretodo que tienes el espacio para que ejerciten sus alas ojalá y tus jilgueros logren reproducirse aprovechando podrías decirme como le hiciste para saber cuando son machos o hembras puesto que ya ves q no presentan dimorfismo sexual a simple vista saludos

What all different kinds/breeds of birds do you now, currently, own & care for?
rigth now i have canaries, cardinals, robin, jilgueros, clarines.
@@juliocesarMatus So cool! What you call jilguaro, we call goldfinch. That bird is the "State bird" of New Jersey (where I lived when I was little, & just yesterday found a picture of one that I tried drawing in 2nd or 3rd grade.

Son aves paseriformes o sea que a simple vista no puedes ver la diferencia entre sexos, la única forma que conozco es teniendo mucha paciencia para observarlos detenidamente y con base en su comportamiento podrás distinguirlos.

Hola fijate que revisando todos mensajes acabo de encontrar éste y te doy una disculpa pero en ocasiones no envían las notificaciones.
Normalmente la temporada de cel empieza en marzo y termina en octubre.

@@juliocesarMatus That was exactly it! The beak (which she's been "wiping " way more than is usual, I think, the top had broken off! It's not been bleeding, or interfereing with her eating... but still, I'm puzzled to know the CAUSE of her doing that. I'd had her several sandpaper perches to use as a perching option, when she wanted... but I took pne down, cuz of realizing she'd "wiped off" a tad TOO MUCH of her upper beak! (See why I'd rather write to you, than comment here?!)

@@juliocesarMatus You know... I've decided that I'm going to write a book, for children, about a little Cenzontle. Well, maybe for all ages. I want it to be so realistic, too... helping the readers know & understand how life really is for these blessed birds... though put in a story form... perhaps even "narrated by" the bird! I'd still like to write letters (keeping our Postal service alive!), as well as comment lots, here on your great videos... but that's up to you. Thank you, greatly.

hola buena tarde, estoy muy bien gracias y con respecto a tus comentarios te recomiendo identificar a todos y cada uno de las aves y quién con quién están emparejado, una vez identificados separarlos por parejas pues es temporada de cortejo y reproducción, mientras más pronto lo hagas es mejor ya que no les gustan mucho los cambios y se puede perder la secuencia de cortejo; si no lo haces así vendrán peleas y hasta lastimarse fuertemente. Además al sentirse seguros apartados, cantarán mejor todos los machos.

HOLA JULIO... espero estes bien y gozando de cabal salud, solo para comentarte k mis jilguerucos no logre separarlos y aun siguen en su voladero y pues mi inkietud es la siguiente... tengo 7 aves jilgueros en mi jaulon como te habia comentado anteriormente k tenia 5 ahora son 2 mas y mi inkietud es xk hace 3 o 4 dias he notado a mis aves como inkietas en la forma de ke unas aves persiguen a otras y se dan como caricias con el pico y de tal modo k duran hasta 20 minutos juntas sin pelear y despues de rato algunas aves MUEVEN MUCHO LAS ALAS Y LEVANTAN LA COLA COMO X EJEMPLO CUANDO LOS CANARIOS SE PISAN y mi inkietud es si estan en cortejo o se estan enparejando o ke les pasa y eso pasa hace 3 o 4 dias necesito un poco de ayuda ya k yo no tengo experiencia y me gustaria recibir tu ayuda ya k me encantan las aves canoras y kiero ayudar en su reproduccion en cautiverio esa es mi meta y por ke no algun dia rehabilitarlas y algun dia liberarlas en su habitat natural. me gustaria recibir tu ayuda muchas gracias.
hola buena tarde, disculpa que hasta ahora responda pero dicen que mas vale tarde que nunca; contestando la pregunta sí se están cortejando y es cuando debes empezar a separar las parejas , ya que se vuelven algunos individuos muy territoriales y agresivos.
julio cesar yo tengo 4 jilgueros y una jilgueruca y un clarin los compre pintos y comparten un voladero de 3x3 de largo y ancho x 1.80 de alto les hice este voladero deacuerdo a su libertad con tierra plantas y agua y todo estava bien hasta k dejaron de ser pintos y cojieron su color de adultos y pues marcaron su territorio en la jaula y pues uno es el k canta mas fuerte k todos y pues esta un poco agresivo imagino k sera x la hembra o ke opinas me interesa tu opinion respecto a ke material usar para su posible nidada.
Hola muchas gracias por brindarme tu confianza y preguntar, lo que puedo decirte de acuerdo a mi experiencia es que separes a la pareja para evitar agresiones y para su nido puedes conseguir musgo, en, pasto seco y colocar a media altura una rama o idear con piedras sobre una repisa para que allí empiecen a elaborar el nido.

Ok, for my bird story that I'm writing... the baby girl Cenzontle got caught out of tree by some animal or bird, who then got scared & dropped her. She was found by a lady & her dog. No parents in sight. Say Cenzontle chick was 8 days old. Lady takes it home to care for it... Now, would you say that the bird might make good friends with the dog, as well as the lady? Or do you think another Cenzontle coming into the story as a friend to the baby girl Cenzontle would be more realistic?

@@flashlitestriker4028 cardinal, blackbird, Brown backed bird, calandria, sparrows, mouse, grasshopper, ant, beatle, bee, wasp, scorpion, fly, dragonfly, lizard, Cat, falcon, parrot, etc., I am talking about of central América and México.
@@juliocesarMatus "FRIENDS" with a cat? (I thought cats like to catch & eat birds),,, with grasshoppers, ants, beetles? I thought Cenzontles like to eat those guys for a meal or a snack)... with a falcon? (I thought Falcons like to hunt & eat up songbirds like the Cenzontle) with a sparrow? (I thought a Cenzontle would "chase away" a tiny bird like that, even to the point of exhausting the sparrow IF the sparrow didn't go far enough away) with a lizard? (I'd heard, or read, that if the lizards are small enough, the Cenzontle would be glad to catch & eat the lizard. Perhaps they might make friends with a larger lizard, though (as long as it wasn't a lizard SO large that it would eat up the Cenzontle)???) These are just things I've thought were "normal" in "real life". Please correct me if & where you know otherwise! Thank you so much!
