These are super great. How long do you you shoot for engagement shoot, how many images do you give them and what would someone charge for a shoot like this?
I love your shots and beautiful backround locations. You provide a chill, friendly and professional attitude. Lovely and romantic photos absolutely stunning! 😊
The photos are amazing! I’m still a begginer and my first ever enagagement photoshoot is in November, and this gave me hope that maybe my photos could be nice too. Thank you
I love your works and not to forget, your way or how you communicate with or to them.. You are indeed a great photographer not just because of your great photography skills but also because of your good personality. Keep it up!
The stairs shots, great idea. And I really enjoyed the shot in the thumbnail, very eye-pleasing. You really spent a lot of time with the couple, so many locations that you went to!
Absolutely great video! Loving all the explanations and advice. I can tell you’ve put heaps of time and effort into this and I hope more people see and appreciate your work!
Thank you so much! Also thank you for watching. Hopefully people will continue to find the channel. But it’s good to hear that folks are enjoying the content.
Dude I discovered your channel yesterday and have been BINGING your videos! Your content is so awesome man, I’m doing my first wedding shoot in a few weeks and I felt pretty confident in my ability to take great portraits but I wanted to look around for any cool videos on the subject .. and I’m not disappointed, super dope man 🤙🏼
Awesome!! I'm really happy I've been able to share enough knowledge to help you feel comfortable taking wedding photos. Thanks for watching the content as well. I'm glad you're enjoying it!
@@jbivphotography the knowledge is insane, thank you for it! Able to incorporate a fresh work flow into my style of shooting after learning from you. Big up!
I rarely comment but wow this video is A1! From the beginning with the funny clip of the reality of what happens in shoots, the live view of your camera screen, tips you gave throughout the video such as ways to keep your clients engaged and feeling comfortable and not to mention, raw BTS footage.Your channel seriously helps upcoming photographers get a feel on what to expect and how to build a better brand. I for one, really appreciate your commitment to openness and transparency in your photography work.Keep up the great work you are doing fantastic.
Thanks for sharing ur knowledge with us ! I learn so much from your behind the scene video and I’m going to be my best friend engagement photographer end of this year ! Love ur content
Hey Maaaaaan. I just wanna say you're awesome and you just made me so excited for my pre nup shoot tomorrow. New sub here. Thank you so much for the tips. So great to have found you here. 🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻🔥🔥🔥
I just had my pre nup shoot last 2 weeks ago and your vids helped me a lot! Will shot a full wedding this coming 7th next month! Got your full day flow in hand❤️ thanks a lot man!
@@jbivphotography will have one last location to shoot on 1st of May. Really glad that I found your channel like a month before we shoot haha. Thank you so much! Can't wait to see the full day wedding bts!😍❤️
Always enjoy your BTS stuff! Thanks for putting this one together. small side note: one of my pet peeves is when the groom comes with his phone/wallet in his pocket and it's visible 🤦♂️. When I first started out I didn't catch it until I'm culling but now my eyes go right to it at the start of the session. If that's the case, I just take it from them and put it in my shoulder bag.
I agree with that pet peeve. Even at the start of the session I missed him having huge phone bulge but later on you hear me tell him to move it. I gotta get better about catching it right at the beginning. But it's hands down the most annoying thing.
Thank you John for your effort to show us such beautiful , helpful and entertaining videos. I like your channel so damn much and love to see more content from you!
Bro the way you just give away a lot of your tricks and techniques is so admirable, thank you for all your teachings, one question though, do you know if that enlargement focus spot you threw on min 20:14 in available in Sony cameras? Thanks and happy new years eve!
Another banger. Love the live view in add-in. I noticed your moving the focus point vs a back button hold and focus. Do you do the same for weddings when the scene pace is faster?
I've been considering trading in my 23 f2 for a while now for the f1.4 but every time I watch your videos it makes me want to stay with it. I'm sure I can't go wrong either way. Really enjoy your videos man keep 'em coming.
I know exactly how you feel. I’ve had a love hate relationship with the 23 f2 for a long time now. It seems like it might be a bit soft at the edges. Other than that however I’m very happy with it. I did just order the new 23 1.4 so we’ll see how that lens is.
I love your videos thanks for all of the helpful tips. My husband and I are photographers based out of Tennessee. You are awesome at what you do so effortlessly. 😊 I am curious about your straps and back pouch. Could you tell me where I could purchase one. It would be very idea when shooting weddings. Thank you
17:12 I have one question John : why you set white ballance on 7100K? you intend to let couple not "look too much yellow" ? I am curious about that, thank you.
Hey John, thanks for this video!!! One quick question - how do you go about asking your couples if you can make BTS RUclips videos of them? Is it part of your contract for everyone or do you ask them individually? Thanks for always making killer content!
love your style i have taken a lot of your tips and ideas into my own photography so I thank you. Also are you coming to the NY photography expo in October?
This was good! I shot an engagement session with a couple recently and thought the images were good, but seeing this video I see I could have changed it up a bit more. Thanks man! Keep em coming!

When you are in AF-S do you used the shutter button or AF-ON to focus (on the button of your choice) ?
This was great to see BTS thanks!

haha so funny on the opening. You're not the only one lol.
Gosh I hate when something blocks a good shot. 😩
LOL..that intro with the truck😂
The literal moment I was going to take the shot and that truck comes rolling on through. 🙃
Whats brand of ur camera leather strap dear thank u
awesome work
Thanks a lot!
Small freaking world. Here I am getting tips and not only is this in the dmv but I went to elementary school with Shelby .
😱😱😱 how crazy. I did their wedding too. It was a great time.
What lens is that 50 f/1.0 ? its amazing!
Where you get that camera strap and bag?
The bar (line) is zone? Do you shoot in zone in all of your shots?
Thanks John! I love your work!
What aperture are you using with 23mm F2? The lens produces soft images wide open or at least on my copy.
I generally shoot it wide open. I RARELY stop down.
