I have been aware of seasonal color analysis for a very long time. My "Color for Men" book is dated 1984. It is by Carole Jackson. I have the color swatch kit as well. I am a spring. I have blonde hair. I never wear black. Navy is my dark. I wear brights rather well but not the pale pastels which are for summers. Gold jewelry, warm skin. I am glad that the influencers are finally discussing seasonal color analysis again. "Color Me Beautiful" is another Carole Jackson book on this subject.
I think that hue, value, and saturation are things to look at when you are trying to find colors that look good on you, but seasonal color analysis assumes a lot about what people are going for when it suggests colors. I'm not surprised you can't decide if silver or gold jewelry looks good on you, I think you are just noticing there's more you can do with color and still look good than SCA acknowledges.
That’s a good point! I always just look at these kinds of styling “systems” as a starting a point for figuring out what looks good on you but it always takes trial and error to really figure out what looks good and what you like bc everyone is different!
I think you are a winter. Winters have high contrast (which you have) and summers have low contrast. Both dark winter and soft summer/mute border autumn that's why gold doesn't look bad on you as those seasons are not pure/true seasons, they are more neutral.
I’ve been watching your videos on different aesthetics, I was wondering if you could make a video on how to do mermaidcore or sirencore. They both are different in colours and are similar in other ways I wanna do mermaidcore but it’s usually not winter-y
I should try this, I am deep winter, but my skin towne is slithly yellowish since I am an Olive tone so I am consufed with coolours I look good on ppurple redish but light burgundy looks awful on me uit makes me look orangy
Ooh yes that can be tricky! I think everyone has to go through some trial and error to figure out what looks good on them, everyone’s different so there’s no hard rules :)

I’ll have to look those up! I’m actually surpised at how much of a difference it makes, so i would love learn more. Thanks for the recommendations!
You look amazing in the muted colours wow!
Thank you!! Maybe i lean more towards the summer mute palette then!
I think to really determine the gold or silver you need a gold or silver shirt dwarfs cloth to drape over you... But I agree that both look natural

That makes sense but i kinda think the summer mute colors are more flattering on me
