- The next step in the process is to get to work on the copper bits and pieces. The first of these is the Habaki: the piece that fits over the blade's ricasso in order to hold the blade firmly in the scabbard.

That's a nice looking fretsaw. Looking forward to part 3 👍 🇬🇧
Thanks. It is a beauty. It was custom made for me by my friend Dimitris who is the creator of @JimmysCanal. Amazing toolmaker.
Hello Nick,
Nice work and enjoyable viewing... I agree that putting it in the tumbler gave a nice finish... See you in part 3.
Take care.
Paul,,
Although copper is soft and easy to work with, shaping a 3mm thick, short and relatively narrow plate needs time, effort and patience! So the only I can say is, Bravo my friend!
Looking forward for the next video.
Take care
Dimitris
Thanks my friend.
Very nice work, going to be a really great knife, enjoyed!
Appreciate it. Thanks so much.
Not only is Dadsinhisworksop a gifted metal worker and knifeman, he's also a talented actor. You may recognise his voice from television series such as Antiques Roadshow.

This habaki does not fit the blade at the edge. Nor particularly well at the spine. But it does sort of look like a habaki. We salute you.
