That extra BBQ scene was cute and all, but it kinda conflicts with the fact that Bryce is supposed to already know that the two of you are working together and that the two of you already know that. Since he gave Maverick the phone to give to you.

So I wrote this scene the same way even if it takes place before the bbq and not after. For lore reasons you can say that Bryce wanted the mc to have a phone and asked Seb to deliver it. Seb told Mav about it and since Mav knew that the mc would give him a call (or maybe it was between calling Mav and meeting him...yeah, that sounds better.) Mav got it from Seb to give it to the mc. As for the reason; it's the same as before (calling for help) but Bryce doesn't know about Mav and the mc working together. (I'm busy with a new and very big project so I don't know if/when I can fix the error in my mod)
I really enjoyed these Maverick arcs you're doing in fact Maverick is the only dragon who needs one with the other 5 Main dragons (who by the way often appears in some of them mainly Bryce)
