- Erik Agard wins his first championship in the ACPT Division A Finals with a record-setting time of 4 minutes and 58 seconds, defeating Dan Feyer and David Plotkin. Color commentary by Ophira Eisenberg and Greg Pliska, with Will Shortz presiding. Puzzle by Sam Ezersky.
Daaamn, these commentators are _way_ more lit than I would've expected lmao
The best reaction was the guy who blurted out “holy shit” as Erik was taking his headphones off. I’d have to agree. I don’t think any final puzzle was solved that fast, ever.
What an incredible event to broadcast
Congrats on winning Jeopardy, Erik! 👍
Came here because I was wondering why my daily USA Today puzzles are almost always more difficult when Agard is the editor. Now I know and I’m cool with that.
Wish I coulda been there. Amazing.
oh shit thats a big room (at the end)
Came here from the Simpson’s to see if this was real

To me this is like a golfer putting, they need QUIET to concentrate...with these idiots commenting, it makes me wonder how the solvers tuned them out! This is a VERY big flaw in the competition and I'm sure that I'm not the first to observe this.
The finalists wear headphones playing white noise (crowd noise recorded at the United Nations), so they don't hear the commentary.
@@BenZimmer Ah, OK, I apologize and thank you Ben. I clearly was naive to the process!
@@thetommoodyhey it’s good you admitted to your mistake. It take a real man to admit wrong doing. I’m proud of you. I want you to know that. 🎉
