Or they go for the Shiv approach: give him 1 broken passive, then nerf everything else into oblivion before admitting the passive was a mistake in first place.

This hero has the funnest kit, so fast with crazy burst. I love using the melee charge fleetfoot move tech with this hero. Escalating resilience and intensifying mag, you get the best of both worlds. And move speed scaling with spirit is just the cherry on top.
They're basically what I tried to do with my Ivy build from the start. When I played them I upgraded the slide first, and just kept building into fire rate and that. 50% evasion while sliding is BS, because you're never not sliding.
Quite literally the only problem is that his base bullet damage is obscenely high. Outside of that no real problems imo. The base damage being so high makes him look insane because all weapon items are % damage.
I think rather than taking a trillion stamina, you'd be better served prioritizing move speed and move speed actives so that you can slide out of your regular movement. This also done with Ivy, and it LOOKS like this character has built-in fleetfoot in the same way Ivy does (Not certain, and it may just be because ivy's weapon/animation set is used as placeholders) Heroic Aura, Veil Walker, Fortitude, Vampiric Burst, Enduring Speed, Glass Cannon are all your friends. Once you have HA/Fortitude/Enduring Speed you should be able to slide out of your normal movement without needing a dash, and whenever you use heroic aura's active it becomes much easier as well. Likewise with Burst Fire, whenever you get the proc for its extra move speed, as long as you have a couple of these other items you should be able to slide out of base movement too.
Ayo the hook blade ability is just the Sawblade equipment from Risk of Rain 2 hahahaha! Makes sense as the Hopoo devs are currently working on Deadlock, they were hired by Valve.
a lot people don't realize that most of the enemy team don't know how to handle viper. They have plenty of cc to stop the sliding but they were very disorganized. really just a dynamo knock up plus a haze knife would damn near kill a viper since the hp is so low and the kits survivability is in the slide

I mean he is exceptionally vulnerable to slows. Way more so than other heroes as it effectively semi-disables one of his abilities. Problem is more that he's so crazy snowbally against structures. Very fun hero design however.

It's like Vindicta's Ult, but you don't have to aim. Kind of busted. Especially when the counter play would be to heal so you aren't at the lower thresholds and taking more damage...but it has a built in heal reduction of a massive 60%.
I played it yesterday. It is like insanely broken. U can't stay in lane against this, as he will put 2nd on you and deal 500 dmg instantly and u die. You can't chase him, you can't outrun him. The fun build that i've made deals 2k dps, so imagine being a person against this Tomas the lizard sliding into you and shaving you off
Why would you build ammo on a character that slides everywhere and has basically infinite ammo lol. I’m thinking bullet velocity, kinetic dash, burst fire, ricochet, crippling headshot, superior stamina for some of the core items
you forgot to mention that the gun has 200 base dps, meaning viper innately has 3x the damage of any other hero (the recoil is insane and the mag size is almost zero, but when sliding into someones asshole those don't matter)
She seems very powerful but not too busted against players since her main ability is countered by slows and immobilizations which a lot of heroes and items that can just do that. Against objectives though with nothing to keep her in check she absolutely DESTROYS.
They really need to do away with evasion as a stat. It's dumb. Just put in a generic damage reduction if you need to, but not evasion. Not in a PvP game.
This character is designed as a hit and run speed demon. I think a couple things to balance her out would be: Instead of infinite ammo while sliding maybe a 50-75% more ammo Small nerf to bullet damage I think this would keep in line with her being a hit and run type. Slide in, drop a mag, hit them with the dot, slide back out.
The sliding and shooting is actually insane, I really like the idea behind the character but those numbers are ABSURD LMAO

Viper’s petrify ability also connects her to the Gorgon sisters, so it makes sense that she’s female too
