I went to design school with Phil Frank the designer back in the late 80s and early 90s. He also did the Saleen S7. Awesome to see he's still making waves! :)
I've watched Factory Five as they evolve and innovate the past decade. This concept is a major step and puts them in the middle of the Kit Car arena. The exterior and interior is on par with other low volume sport car manufacturers. This concept is focused on Sport and no frills or gadgets. Well done.
Finally! That looks like they actually got it this time! They should modernize the look of the existing GTM as well, wouldn't even take much to change the front fascia and rear end ...
I am happy for you guys at Factory 5. This is definately looking the part in today's supercar world. Hopefully it can fit a 6'6" guy in the driver seat.
Wow I really like that. The side profile of a Aston Martin, front scoops like a Ford GT, rear cabin section like a Mustang, and rear bumper like a Vette. I like it a lot! Great job fellas!
I hope to see this car, the 818, and the gtm at car shows and events next year. I think that would be the best way to show off their cars and advertise the new one. PS cruise in the coast would be a great event to show up too, along with Cleetus and Cars.
@@601performance5 It would without a doubt. I'm really just waiting to see the street variation of this, as that's what I'm more interested in building.
Wow thats one of the best looking carsI have seen. If the kit is priced under 50k I would get it asap. I just hope they actually follow through with it since it isnt finally approved yet and it makes me scared we will never see it live :( I mean like seriously if I ever spend money on an expensive car, this will be it.
Wow! I'm building one! Please please please make it affordable!!! I've been dreaming about a FFR car since I was 14. Was planning on 818 in a couple years, but this is insane!
I like it.... it has like a chopped mustang fastback roof line with that old school back window but with a modern feel, gt40ish, corveety kinda frond end. it looks like an American muscle hyper car. love the lights and bumpers great job guys......Wow I think you got something here. I like the rims I really do but maybe something to bring that American muscle feel, if you know what i mean... but again wow great jobs guys
Apart from the carbon fibre near and around the wheel arches l love it... Another quality factory five product....👍 I would like to see Factory Five do a Sunbeam Tiger Mark 11 ......
I think I found my project. Thank all that is holy they didn't do the design by committee thing that caused me not to buy the 818. This thing is amazing. I'll wait to see it in the flesh, of course.
Been a Factory Five fan since the early days but this concept is beyond stunning. I see C7 Vette and Lexus LFA cues in there, with overall some late 60's Ferrari. The price point will be critical but I'm sure there's ongoing due diligence in building a business case. Best of luck if you decide to green light the project.
Great Job Guys!!! Please make a gen 3 GTM!! Team PDG, Crash, and Beeman from the forum have done lots of the development work for You. Who knows, You may be able to sweet talk GM into a deal on those duel clutch transmissions!!
after a month of looking at it, it's still fantastic and is still my next project, if they go through with it. I do think those "stone guards" on the side are a little too much, though. they almost seem like tack on fenders, but this car doesn't need that. if they make it to the final car, I will remove them and figure something else out, if I can. But that front end is perfect. wow, is it ever good. I might redesign the tail lights a little bit, but they're pretty awesome as they are.
overall a stunning look! wondering how functional or necessary the black planes are on the sides.; aesthetically they're a bit of a visual distraction. also, given what i've seen of the chassis what will the 'a' pillar visibility be like? seems like a big obstruction. cannot wait to see the finished car!
Wow, I like it better than the new vette, both in sound & looks....which is saying a lot! Wonder what the performance times will be?? Hopefully price will be under 100k completed build. If not, I'll be getting the mid engined vette
Considering it'll be a kit car the price really is more determined based on what you want to do with it. I was thinking about getting a SLC, but I do quite like the design of this. Here's hoping we see the street version of this car come out sometime in Q2 of 2020.
Name one car that doesn't have a dated aesthetic? Cars are influenced by the design trends of the time, so the GTM naturally looks like the era it was originally designed in. You thinking it's hideous is your opinion though, and arguing that makes no sense.
@@MuShinnen Exactly. I'm just not a big fan of the late 90's / early 2000's styling. I really like Factory Five's Shelby Cobra and Daytona as well as their 33 Roadster. Wasn't a big fan of their other more modern styles until I saw this.
@@NealRiggers1350 Depends on the car. Late 90's early 2000's JDM cars are easily some of my favorites. @@alabamamotionpictureproduc6626 Weight is going to be around 2,400 lbs. You'll be able to run similar running gear options to our Gen 3 Type 65 Coupe: small block Fords, 5.0L Coyote, LS engines, and we've also installed a V12LS in our prototype chassis. Price is TBD.
This is the first American Kit Car I've seen with such a beautiful rear! Time has certainly treated y'all well. I hope to see this on the road soon!
Can’t wait for this to become real. Go for it guys.
I've been eyeballing a GTM for years but this is so much better. Y'all might be getting an order in a couple of years....
I could look at this all day.. My God make an hours long loop so I can drool over it.

Very nice! A little bit of Viper, a little bit of Corvette, a little bit of NSX, a little bit of Mustang, a little bit of Aston...
Please make this a reality. The F9R Concept Supercar is flipping gorgeous. i'm going to start saving up for it now.

I'm willing to bet they'll have a full version of the car come SEMA next year. I'm excited to see the inside of it.
MuShinnen they probably will but I think coming to big car shows around the country would also help in advertising.

Little bit of viper influence. Overall, doesn't look too much like any other car - which is good.
IMO it looks quite similar to the Aston Martin Vulcan, but that's more of a benefit than anything else.
Guess I'm the only one that sees mustang. S550 & sn95
@@DeiHarper9361 I saw a little corvette.

Bravo gents!
This thing is sick. Imagine this with a twin turbo ls or even a amg twin turbo.
Oh FFR what have you done? 🥰
Yes! Excellent! Build it!
Yes please!
This looks like its going to be a mid engine dream car. Finally using home-brew know how.
I am In love 😍
I looked for more details on the web site. I didn't find any. Really like the look tho.

Will there be a toned down street version available?
Looks mostly like a race car.
Yes, we will have a Street and Race version of the F9.
id build one .. its your best car yet .. i love it ..
Where is the V12 engine sourced from? This looks absolutely stunning and one day would love to get my hands on one 😉
It's an ls v12 believe it or not making 750 hp
Lambo nose, Ford GT over the top, Challenger-esque arse. Oh yeah and 12 cylinders of bad-assery to make it go. Amazing AF.
Yes, please.

When will we see the street version? If I like the race version better will it survive on the street?
Typically things meant for the track don't fair too well against pot holes and speed bumps.
Wait for the street version. They will look similar, but race cars have several major engineering changes from their street designed cousins.
Is this Snap-on Tools red?
Badass
Yes! 2020 please
Will you guys build the F9...been waiting for an update for a long time....truly hoping you will.
Reminds me quite a lot of the VLF Automotive Force 1 V10. Not that that's a bad thing, though.
Reminds me of that Lexus LFA thing, but with aero.
LFA is art. Not just some "thing"
@@jesseramon5013 i agree but i love the LFA so i had to say it lol
I just hope the engine is in the middle (or rear like a Porsche 911) for traction, but looks wise you guys nailed it!
no
Sick! What software did you render it in?
Rhino was used to create this body design.
Mustang glass?
Probably
And it can fit a 9L ls v12
Take my money please!
What happend to this project? Any new updates?
Amazing looking! But you should redesign your FF-logo as well.
