when i was a teenager i had the honor to play on an Imperial. Awesome Video but trust me... no video ever can reproduce this magic sound. The air was vibrating, the Grand was breathing, living the wooden ground i was sitting was shaking. At this moment i was catched by the Bösendorfer magic. Never forgot this awesome rendezvous with the Imperial.
That sounds awful, those bottom notes on the Imperial are a waste and unsatisfying to at least my ear. There is, from my experience virtually no compositions that have been composed for those dreaded low end bass notes. It makes me appreciate my 1914 Bluthner Aliquot 6'3"Grand more and more. Thankyou Sherwood, great video
They were created for certain transcriptions from organs which needed to replicate 32ft+ stops. Most of the time you won't ever play them. They do however, increase sound board area and general resonance of your normal key set.
Finally someone not babying this piano and letting it roar, like it was intended, demonstrating all the thunder and richness in that bass register!
The resonance of the other notes is phenomenal, that is the definition of a thundering base.
Here we go! When you've got everything, get yourself a Bösendorfer 290 Imperial.
Someone's been practicing his arpeggios and octaves! 🔥🔥🔥🔥

2:18: He even searched for that B-1 🤣🤣
Only the fine tuned brain would pick up on that.
Wow! That's very powerful. Thank you for sharing.
This video really scratches the itch for SUBCONTRA!!!
Wow a piano that is lower than A0 which is the lowest note on piano 88 keys, and it goes lower G#0-C0 😱 rare to find that
Geeeeeeeeeezzz!! What a Monster! Great!
The last note is enough!
Well one thing is for sure, dude YOU KICKED MY ASS with that demonstration. Exceptional player. Absolutely excellent performance.
The absolute reason I've been watching these kind of videos Is for this outstanding C0
amazing
Incroyable !
The extra bass notes aren't really for playing. They add harmonic resonance.
that was amazing
Love the sound of the Bosendorfer more than a Steinway. Beautiful rich deep sound!!❤

Och! Ah can't play any lower than that, Cap'n!
Indeed, a whole octave below A0... Madness...!

600k
No way
@@pkindia9241 It doesn't cost 600k at least not Dollars, around one fifty US
I am going to own this piano. I'm not going to let some measly 600k prevent me from being able to experience and explore heaven on earth.
Sounds like Muse. Amazing!
The first invented piano and oldest piano tune Bosendorfer Imperial. 😊
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Why are the extra bass natural keys in black?
They’re the keys most other pianos don’t have so they color them black
Nice, but the bottom C is flat to me.
Did you really play Muse wtf
El hombre nomo

I'd expect them to find most use (besides being there for resonance when the damper pedal is pressed) in improvisation.

Usual fucking demo! You don't understand the potential dynamics and response in the bass
