    when I use to work with babies after 6 weeks we typically considered them infants so he’s like fairly new to infant world🎉😂 maybe he’s crying from growing pains or has a dairy intolerance because breast milk is still considered dairy idk but you do such a great job it’s amazing❤

    I usto overfeed my son because I felt like he needed more but I notice he would spit it up a lot. I did use gripe water and massaged his legs in circles to help him with colics. It's trial & error to feed babies. You're doing great, you're strong!! ❤

      @leahlovee  Месяц назад

      Yes Kenny also spits up a lot! I just ordered the gripe water I’m gonna try it I hope it helps. Thank you so much for being here ❤️❤️❤️ I’m trying to hang in there

    you’re doing an amazing job 💝 hang in there! we all know as moms there are so many stages! I pray the PPD will not overtake you but talking to a therapist would be great. take care of you AND the babies and ik that’s easier said than done but the closet sessions, and whatever else that can soothe you lean on it! ❤

    flowers to you! (seriously). i recently switched to formula bc pumping was becoming mentally taxing. my goal was to make it between 4-6 months and I made it to month 4. im with you, i dont judge which method parents choose bc it's not all sunshine and rainbows. just know, you are understood, seen and heard

    I'm also 9 weeks postpartum and have the same struggles. I also have more issues with my nipples when using my portable pump. I've read that they shouldn't be used as your primary pump. I've been using my hospital grade pump and stuck by an outlet, which is super inconvenient, but it's helping. You're doing great!

    • @leahlovee
      @leahlovee  Месяц назад

      Woww😭 yeah I have a pump that plugs in but I hate it. I hate being stuck in one spot for 30 minutes lol I may have to just do that then. Thank you so much❤️❤️🫶🏼

      The spectra s1 is chargable or the motif Luna with battery. I have both. I have to carry it around but it's better than being stuck in one spot for 20-30 minutes 🥴

    Thank you for posting this video! I am also eight weeks postpartum and I am there with you! It is really HARD! Pumping be the worse! I am not an over supplier and the stress of not have enough milk is soooo stressful! Thank you for the video didn’t feel alone in this struggle.

      I’m so glad you understand. This has really been taking a mental toll on me and I’ve been trying to figure out if I should just stop pumping/breastfeeding all together. I’m so tired!! Ugh we will get through it though you are not alone. ❤️🫶🏼

    Also try switching babies bottles! I used Dr Brown’s and they were horrible for my baby . We now use Philip’s Avent natural flow . They have been a game changer. Also use nipple balm - I like the brand motherslove from target . I put some in my flanges when pumping and on my breast pads helps to keep them from sticking. Good luck to you I pray everything gets easier ❤

    • @leahlovee
      @leahlovee  Месяц назад

      Really?? I thought Dr browns was the best brand. Ok I’ll look into the Phillips avent bottle to see if Kenny likes that. Thank you so muchhh❤️❤️❤️

    You are doing an awesome job mama’s. I honestly don’t know how you are juggling everything, but you are!! Yes, please try the gripe water. I give it to my newborn for hiccups and it stops them instantly. ❤️

    Have you tried the silver nursing cups/shields ? You put them over your nipples so the friction from your bra doesn’t irritate them while they heal.

    Hi momma! I was an oversupplier with my first child. If you’d like to cut your milk supply, you can cut your pumping sessions in half. You’ll have milk left in your breasts, but that will tell your brain to stop making so much. After a week, cut it in half again and your supply will slowly decrease to lower levels. The more and longer you pump, the more feedback you give your brain that you need more milk.

    • @leahlovee
      @leahlovee  Месяц назад

      Hey!! I will definitely do that because being an over supplier is overwhelming 😭 thank you❤️❤️

    I heard pumping cracks your nipples more than breastfeeding especially if you don’t use the right size flange, measure your nipple size and use an appropriate flange you can find the correct measurements on Google. I have been breastfeeding for 3 months and I pump when engorged to build a freezer stash and I had no issues with my nipples so far. Highly recommend you also see a lactation consultant. Keep up the good work mama you got it you are stronger than you think. (Currently typing after putting my baby to sleep before his next midnight feeding😩) it’s hard I feel you, breastfeeding is only for the strongest mamas

    • @leahlovee
      @leahlovee  Месяц назад

      Yeah I should probably measure my nipple size cause I have no idea what size I am😭 I wish the mom cozy breast pump came with different sizes but there was only one size. I may need to look on amazon at different sizes. This is definitely not for the weak😭 we are so strong lol

    have you tried using cabbage leaves to help with your nipples? my friend did this when struggling with pain, crackings etc and it helped alot. they're cooling, soothing, natural and stop the 'sticking' issue...sounds strange i know but i would recommend giving it a try :) you're doing awesome xx

    Along with the silver nipple covers, try the saline spray, check your flange size, and try a different nipple cream. And a hand pump or hand expression might be gentler for a while.

    • @leahlovee
      @leahlovee  Месяц назад

      I didn’t know you could use saline spray. And yeah I definitely think I need a better nipple cream because mine isn’t strong enough. Thank you❤️❤️

    I found your videos lately and since i watching coz i ve been learning a lot and yesterday i gave birth to my little boy but he can't suck my nipple ,so i have been giving him hospital milk at the same time trying to make him suck but he can't, any device or am rushing him since his just newborn though i really want to breastfeed him, send love to ur little ones

      @leahlovee  Месяц назад +1

      Omg, congratulations on giving birth to your baby boy ❤️❤️ and I understand the issues with having him latch on I had the same issues and STILL having issues with it. My advice would be to start pumping so that you can start building your milk supply and it will also give you time to practice feeding your son. If you are not feeding him directly on your breast at least start pumping so he can still drink breast milk. I hope this helps ❤️❤️❤️
