In my personal opinion I consider the National Museum of Mexican Art located in Chicago to be impressive. The paintings, sculptures, photographs and each exhibition faithfully represents the Mexican culture, as well as leading to a journey through the passage of life in Mexico that goes from the Mayan culture to more contemporary and modern artists. It feels good to know that there are in exhibition 7500 works by proudly Mexican artists that carry the name of our country to the top. It is important to note that there are millions of Mexicans in the United States and that this museum is a way to connect again with Mexico, while it is incredible that the museum is completely free compared to many Mexican museums that charge a fee per entry, plus the National Museum of Mexican Art in Chicago has guides and historians who are experts in the works and most importantly; that over the years, the national museum has inspired and empowered tens of thousands of children and youth through arts education programs compared to many museums in Mexico.

Glad to hear of your Spanish heritage. Flamenco music if from southern Spain, as you probably know. You probably also know that Galicians (also from Spain) don't share the same Flamenco culture. My point being, it's a terrible generalization. Plus, the presenter of this video is far from having Spanish heritage if any. The same applies to many Mexicans.

I think that the Works exhibites in this museum are amazing, they take great care, they highlight Mexican culture, and others mix both cultures. The nacinala museum of mexican art seems very interesting to me, since it exhibits works of mexican artists, however I like the museums of mexico more since they show archaeological vestiges, apart from the fact that in my opinion it is better to see a work of art in its place of origin.

About the sculptures look good but not better than ours, in genral the Mexican art in Chicago is equal to the mexican art in Mexico, the maya, azteca, and other prehispanic arts look amazing, iI really love all this art. They have a more colorful image and on well-known traditions such as the "day of the dead" in Mexico, how much our history, how we became independent, the struggles that were fought and won, we are a culture rich in art and tradition. In my personal opinion I consider the National Museum of Mexican Art located in Chicago to be impressive. The paintings, sculptures, photographs and each exhibition faithfully represents the Mexican culture, as well as leading to a journey through the passage of life in Mexico that goes from the Mayan culture to more contemporary and modern artists.
It feels good to know that there are in exhibition 7500 works by proudly Mexican artists that carry the name of our country to the top. It is important to note that there are millions of Mexicans in the United States and that this museum is a way to connect again with Mexico, while it is incredible that the museum is completely free compared to many Mexican museums that charge a fee per entry, plus the National Museum of Mexican Art in Chicago has guides and historians who are experts in the works and most importantly; that over the years, the national museum has inspired and empowered tens of thousands of children and youth through arts education programs compared to many museums in Mexico.

I think that the pieces of art in the National Museum of Mexican Art are very different from the other museums in Mexico, because they are better preserved, and there are also pieces that are very representative of Mexican culture. They are more colorful, interesting and convey various emotions.
I think that the National Museum of Art represents only the most colorful and famous paintings that will give more attention to the museum, I believe primarily that our museums mark the history of the country more, not totally but if it is greater proportion.
The pieces of art they present are beautiful and as Frida Kahlo says, daily life is represented.

The display of pieces of art Mexican is extraordinarily beautiful, but i have a feeling that best art Mexican are out of the country, which is not bad If not the opposite, is awesome what the world can see of the culture Mexican and that they are interested more and more.
First, I really enjoyed watching this video because it´s incredible how these people can to create a museum in United States that has only and exclusively mexican art, from paintings to a simple things like old pictures of normal people in my country. The mexican museums are just as interensting as this one but the art works presented transcend more becase they are far from home, teaching to people my culture and how great Mexico can be.

Glad to hear of your Spanish heritage. Flamenco music if from southern Spain, as you probably know. You probably also know that Galicians (also from Spain) don't share the same Flamenco culture. My point being, it's a terrible generalization. Plus, the presenter of this video is far from having Spanish heritage if any. The same applies to many Mexicans.

I think that the works exhibited in this museum are amazing, they take great care, they highlight Mexican culture, and others mix both cultures. It is interesting that in other countries there is a museum from your country and that Mexican art is recognized in it. The interesting thing about this museum is that they don't charge anything to enter, but in Mexico it is normal for a museum to charge you to enter, and some people don't value the art that is exhibited. I believe that Mexicans still lack the feeling of appreciation.
Really, i love it!! They appreciate the art in differents ways, i means, first they take the art of our ancestors, the art of the our present and our future, its fantastic. In other way in many museums aroud the world the entrance is very limited for certan social category, in this museum all people can do, and the admission is free. I really thinks that is a great idea because is a form to all people can appreciate the art.

This video makes me realize the amazing culture that my country has, Mexico is one of the places in all the world with the most coloful expressions of art, the paintings, sculptures and also the murals, all of them have the joy and the essence of mexicans. It´s a shame to look how in Chicago makes more accesible the art than in Mexico's museums, however, I think that this beautiful place is a little home to those mexicans who are in this country, is like a scape of american lifestyle to their native land. But museums in Mexico have pieces of art that are more representative of Mexican culture and are more captivating, in my opinion all these pieces of art should be admired for the effort that each one entails, for the technique that was applied and for what wanted to demonstrate the Mexican artist.

The nacinala museum of mexican art seems very interesting to me, since it exhibits works of mexican artists, however I like the museums of mexico more since they show archaeological vestiges, apart from the fact that in my opinion it is better to see a work of art in its place of origin.

But I consider that the art that stands out is the most colorful and ancient, while the revolutionary art, which is characterized by being a bit more somber and which represents the problems the country has gone through, are not as relevant.

It is of great importance that people who have ties to Mexican culture want to know more about it and each Mexican work is unique by itself, so it is good to know that Mexico is present in other places and not only in our country.
I believe that the art exhibited in the National Museum of Mexican Art largely represents Mexican culture and the taste for expressing these feelings. Comparing it with museums in Mexico, the national art museum seems to me cheaper since there it is not charged compared to some Mexican museums. The mexican museums are just as interensting as this one but the art works presented transcend more becase they are far from home, teaching to people my culture and how great Mexico can be, but the work of this museum is the most beautiful compared to other museums with Mexican exhibitions in other countries since it represents very well the history and the great culture that Mexico has, compared to other museums, photographs, sculptures, paintings, drawings, engravings, etc. are exhibited.

I think that Mexicans sometimes do not appreciate the art made in our countries and made by compatriots, and sometimes people outside our country appreciate art more than we do.
The Mexican tradition is more original in its place than in another country but art is valued in the United States more than in Mexico and
the idea of the national museum is good more than the ideas of artistic conservation in Mexico.
As a working artist, muralist, writer etc [see RUclips Dolcedo Art of the Thunderbolt Ground-floor & Mezzanine], living in Italy, my linguist-secretary did her Dissertation in Mexico 1983-4 in Merida, Mexico, so we have an interest in Diego, Frida et al & presently await delivery of a Huichol painting. I have a large villa full of art, including a huge library - two actually - so if you guys would like to pay air-fare to Nice [Nizza] and back, we would willingly provide a 10 day working-holiday for your 2 best painters among the kids & they can stay free + we'll feed them. My curator is an American professore di grammatica, and he acts as our driver - hence, your young scholars would get chauffeured in the Jaguar XF to Dolcedo, where there is our gallery and a couple of apartments. This could be a reward & all the winners would be expected to do is draw & paint. My wife, Suzie, is a graduate in Fine Art from St Martin's in the Strand, a famous academy founded by Hogarth & Constable, whereas I work on the largest illustrated book since Leonardo, 50+ years and still being added to. I think that the Works exhibited in the National Museum do not show our history or much less than the Mexican museums in our country. They have a more colorful image and on well-known traditions such as the "day of the dead" in Mexico, how much our history, how we became independent, the struggles that were fought and won, we are a culture rich in art and tradition. And there is no like a Mexican museum that shows our history.
