  • The year was 1977 and Margaritaville by Jimmy Buffett was making it’s first appearance on the radio. In the Chevrolet factory they had just finished building this Nova! With a only 5000 miles on the 350 CID V8 crate engine and rebuilt transmission this car is ready to eat up some miles. The list of new parts on the car is amazing and it shows. The list is long and it includes new tires, battery, headliner, seat covers, seat belts, gauges and cluster, CD changer and radio, front shocks, air pump in trunk, radiator, grill, front and rear bumper chrome, heater box, emblems, AC dryer, water pump, compressor, carpet, sound deadening, floor matts, exhaust and alternator. The carb has been rebuilt and so has the rear end. They even replaced the speakers. It is a gorgeous car to drive and the power brakes, power brakes AC and seat belts make it comfortable too. Not only is this car extremely well put together, it also appeared in a Movie! Go and watch “Everybody Wants Some” which is the kind-of-sequel to “Dazed and Confused” and see if you can spot the car! This car won’t last long and I would hate anyone to miss out. You will find additional pictures and an HD video at www.gatewayclassiccars.com. It was 1977 and I had my '75 Nova in Key West. It took me to the old Navy sub-pens to catch lobster for my dinner, to the beaches, up and down Duval Street about a million times, up to Lauderdale, Miami Beach and occasionally Lake O for a
weekend of camping and beer, whatever the weather. Back then many of the Keys bridges were swing-out style for boats to
cross, so there would be some delays while watching the boats go by. Our Novas were classics to us even then; each of us
with one of them knew we had something special. We used to get together for wash and wax day outside the old Operations
Building at the base out at Boca Chica, where we could show 'em off while watching the odd Tomcat, Phantom or Vigi taxi
    by.

Had a 1977 Nova with a 305 v8. Drove like a sports car, nothing fancy. What happened to just having a car that gets you from point a to point b- with an A.m. radio. Go to a 3rd world country & see what they drive, Yikes we're all so fortunate.
