what taylor said about fortnite on amazon music :
“I think it’s a very fatalistic album in that there are lots of very dramatic lines about life or death and I love you, it’s ruining my life. These are very hyperbolic, dramatic things to say,” she noted. “But it’s that kind of album - it’s about a dramatic, artistic, tragic kind of take on love and loss.”
She said she “always imagined” that “Fortnight” occurred in an “American town where the American Dream you thought would happen to you didn’t.”
“You ended up not with the person you loved and now you have to just live with that every day, wondering what would’ve been, maybe seeing them out,” she explained. “And that’s a pretty tragic concept, really. So I was just writing from that perspective.”
@ So it is sort of what Knowles interpreted but she is very much coming from a feminist perspective as Knowles understands the objectivity of consequences.
It was about a poet that went crazy in the past. It’s actually about her life.
I'll never understand her popularity. She's so.....vanilla.
AHHHHHHHH IVE WAITED FOR THISSSSSS
Finally I found my reactor❤
Omg! I’m impressed that Micheal and team even used the Fortnite Christmas Cabin music!! 😂😂
Honestly, yeah. I mean you got it I guess. I don't think that's exactly what she meant but at it's core I think you nailed it. It's the breaking of the American dream, she said .
Also, the made in Vietnam was so funny.
I’m so glad I subscribed to your channel ❤😂
I'm only 2 minutes and 21 seconds in, but I have to say I'm just not a fan of this "era" of Taylor's music.... I guess if you are a sullen place you might like it? I don't know... I'm just not a fan of it. I like the country-ish Taylor. Stay Beautiful... Love Story... and I like the more sort of poppy Taylor as well.. "You Belong with Me",... this is just too... sort of.. creepy. Sorry.
Matt always give the best analysis of songs
Is there supposed to be chemistry between Post and Taylor? I don't see it
THE "FESTIVE" LOBBY MUSIC!!!
It amazes me that anyone actually thinks Swift has any talent.
Her early music is really good.... but this later stuff is awful, imo. At least what I've heard. Go listen to "Betty" for example, it's a great song.
Champagne problems, seven, tolerate it,mad women, maroon, last great American dynasty
Listen to this and then tell me if she has any talent
Also 🍻to the person on Michael Knowles team who edited asmr sounds into it.
You're trying too hard to make some literary sense out of it. Taylor's was probably high .
Is it just me or do the lyrics sound like just a bunch of random words?
It’s not just you.
It’s not just you.
Yup
Clearly they’re not. He just did an analysis of the lyrics. Try listening to the video.
@desertrose0601 yes I watched this whole video. I also looked them up too. I will ammend by saying each line of the lyrics is somewhat coherent, but together they seem random to me.
Just a ‘lil comment the music videos sort of feels like Of Monster And Men’s music video for King and Lion heart, especially when they sit on the phone booth atop the mountain.
Man, this song is so bad.
The editor of this video had so much fun making this. I’m happy for them.
Oh my gosh!!!! I've been waiting for this!!!!!!!
I admit that Taylor Swift is obviously incredibly talented. However, I have an intense dislike for this song. It is repetitive, glorifies adultery, and the music video has a very weird aesthetic that is depressing. Just my takeaway. (I say this with much love in my heart towards swifties. Haha)
I mean the relationship could have been before she was with the cheating husband. Potentially anyway.
