Suggestion: dip your string in the main color of interest and lay it down first, then trace with other colors. 1. This obviates the problem of trying to trace the colors with a disgruntled and unruly piece of string and 2. Promotes a more thorough pull of the string through overlying paint.
Hi Christina, very pretty. I enjoy your videos and your adventurous spirit. One suggestion though, I have watched 3 of your videos and the bottom is cut off . Would you please move your canvas up a bit? Thank you.
It's beautiful! Even the one you fixed came out nice. I think the smaller ones were more defined because you pulled a bit slower and moved with the string as you pulled, rather than stiffly doing it the first time. I've seen many people do this technique, and most go through the middle stem parts with some tool to attempt to make them better.
Love the technique, I was wondering why instead of putting that last line of white on the swirl why didn't you just dunk the string in the white paint and then lay it down (maybe wipe a little off the string first)
You wanna get it behind the paint so that you are able to drag the paint the direction you are pulling it in. Placing the string in the center of your lines of paint leaves behind everything that is on the other side ofthe string. Wouldnt that make more sense??
It is beautiful. I do have one question. Why did the 1 on the left appear more broken up compared to the absolutely gorgeous, bold 1 on the right? What made the difference?
I love these string pours! They look really good! I'm wondering tho.... if u wanted to start over on a canvas... like remove the paint that's on it so u can start over.... how would u do that? How do U remove acrylic paints from a canvas? Bcuz as soon as I'm able to figure that out, I want to try it!
Thank You Eric. If your talking about after the acrylic is dry then I've never done that but I heard someone else on one of the pouring groups on Facebook say they have used a paint stripper.
Isn't that paint expensive? I am on disability and do not get very much a month. Would Cheap acrylics work just as well like Decoart it Folk Art paint? Thank you for any information you can give me.
Yes you can use any kind of acrylic paint. You can get folk art paint at Walmart and decorArt paint at any dollerama or dollar store. But you wouldn't need so much pouring medium and hardly any water because the paint is already thin. You can even use house paint if you have any left over from painting walls. Some transfer stations have free house paint too. You can make your own pouring medium with elmers glue all and water and you can get that glue at a dollar store too. I think the mixture is 2 parts glue to 1 part water. Thank You for watching.
You make a great point. I like to create a similar technique without wasting any paint. I’ve recently created a video showing how to do string pull art with no mess and no waste of paint! Great for folks on a budget 😀🎨🍷
I do that sometimes .. it works fo me and I like that way as I waste less paint . 😊 I know how much is needed instead of just pouring out a lot I may not need .
YOU REALLY WERE BRAVE TO STRUGGLE THROUGH THAT YOUR GREAT NOT TO GIVE UP IT WILL BE GREAT IF WE CAN GET IT THAT GOOD WE NEEDED TO SEE WHAT YOU DID WITH THE STRING WHEN YOU WET IT YOUR PICTURE WAS TOO SHORT
It is very frustrating to watch your videos when we can only see about 2/3 of the painting. Your ideas are great but you need to talk a little more (and louder). There are many parts of your canvas that cannot be seen.
I think that the pour technique is a total waste of paint and although different techniques are always fun, this particular one is not my favorite. The original string technique has less steps and is much easier and less mess.
it turned out beautiful! 🤩
Thank you! 😊
It is a wonderful new concept. A+ for progression of the art of string pulls!!!
Thanks
Beautiful
Thank you! Cheers!
Thank you for this! I've been trying to figure out a different way to do these but this is perfect for what I'd like to do!
Thank You Emily
Great example of how to persevere with a painting! Great job 😉🎨🍷
Thank You !

It might work, I could try it.
Love it and the colors
Thank You
You are doing the hard way, lady.
Thanks for watching
that looks like the bottom of the ocean coral plants, very pretty.
Thank You Lisa
All interesting for learning. Thanks. I like the idea of recycling yoghurt containers for paint.
Your welcome! Thanks for watching
Love the multi colors you achieved in the flowers. Beautiful effect!
Thank You Deborah!

This is not Christina
Beautiful art. Omg you are sisters best art ever. Thx.
Thank You

Looking cool..m enjoying to watcing this in the midnight..lol
Nice job👌
Thank You Rajinder
Can this be done on a dry black canvas if I just want the design, or does it need to have the wet paint base? ( I hope that made sense)
It needs to have the wet base. Thanks for watching
That went well after all!
Thank You
Intersting
Thank You
Use the chain on each individual flower right after you pull it thru the stem.
Okay
NOW THATS LOVELY.
Thank You
Parabéns!! Obrigadas
That is very pretty!
Thank You Linda
Beautiful! And Fascinating.
Thank You!

This was just an experiment, I do all my other sting pull the usual way
I think you need larger String and pull it slower for better results, Thanks
Thanks for watching
Why not put string down on top layer and the different colors on top, so string is saturated better, would it work the same?
Not sure
Great job, and thank you for sharing, and I subscribed!
Thank You
Beautiful! Love the technique 😉 only wish I could’ve seen the whole canvas 😢
Thank You! Sorry about that, there was only about a half inch at the bottom you couldn’t see during the process but I showed it at the end.
Wow nice video 😊
Thank You
Very pretty!
Thank You Jude
It looks beautiful just when you draw it on free hand, just purple.
Thanks
That marbleing that you had before you scraped it was so pretty. Would have worked for a better background.
I didn't scrape it I was spreading the paint around with a comb. I couldn't just leave it the paint would be too thick.
good save, might not be what you envisioned, but looks great
Thank you Char
Great idea !!
Thanks!
Thanks. Pretty. The camera needed to point to bottom more or the tin and the painting needed to be up more. We can't see the bottom.
Thanks for watching
Love this💕👍Could you put the string in a cup of water, or would that make it too wet? Also, maybe tweezers would help with the string laying thing.
What is your sisters name.
Thanks! I guess I could put is in water and squeeze it.
I wrote it in my description, Carole Penhale King
Thanks for the shout out Sue.
Your welcome
It is beautiful. I do have one question. Why did the 1 on the left appear more broken up compared to the absolutely gorgeous, bold 1 on the right? What made the difference?
Because I had to go over it again, the first pull didn't look how I wanted it too. Thank You Brandi and Thanks for watching.
Much love from indonesia
Thank You Violin

As long as the paint is still wet you can wash it off under a slow tap but you need for the canvass to dry before you use it again. Anne H
I just wrince off the canvas with water and take a tooth bush and scrub it right off under running water then let it dry before using again
@@bracenracen me too !! 😂❤✝💕
did you al see the 2 dinosaur and the mouse head on the left.............very nice
Thank You Mike
That looks like one of Laverne's cursive Ls that she put on all her sweaters!
Karen Mullen ... I was thinking the exact same thing !!! LMBO 😊
okay
13:44. Looks like a bloody Snoopy, dancing. lol.
Okay
Do you mix anything with the paint? Why not paint around the edges and the sides and then pour on.
Yes, I mix a pouring medium with the paint and a little water.
You gave me a good idea but your video is out of focus and only 2/3 is visible for us to see what you are doing
Thanks for watching

How can we get a different flower? Everyone on RUclips finishes with the sane lilly-like shape!
I have tried some different ways in my videos.
I wonder if that would work better with chain since it's heavier
It could, thanks for watching
I wonder what would have happened if you had put the string down first and then put the paint on top of it. ??
I'm not sure but I could try that as an experiment. Thanks for watching

Nice!
Thank You Margareth
Me gusta lo que haces
Thank You Mary!
Susan love your technic but sometimes your art is not in full screen sorry to say
Thanks
YOU REALLY WERE BRAVE TO STRUGGLE THROUGH THAT YOUR GREAT NOT TO GIVE UP
IT WILL BE GREAT IF WE CAN GET IT THAT GOOD WE NEEDED TO SEE WHAT YOU DID WITH THE STRING WHEN YOU WET IT YOUR PICTURE WAS TOO SHORT
Sorry about that but thanks for watching.
We can't see the bottom. Looks better tho.
Okay
Can you use this technique on fabric please
Not with acrylic paint but maybe fabric paint. I'm not really sure. Thanks for Watching!
The panting was beautiful except the top of the first flower I think should have been redone.
Thanks for watching
Why do you loop it like that?
A different way of doing it, experimenting
Pinte con acrylico y me quedo opaco
Thanks for watching
I get small pits in my paintings. i do not know why. has anyone else had this happen?
Sometimes they are caused from too much silicone but I don't know what your recipe is so it's a little hard to tell you what it could be.
Porque no dan las indicaciones en español
Thanks for watching
Nope. Not better. Left one's a fail. Right one's a WINNER!
Okay

You are aware that your camera is off? You have all this space above and you’ve cut off the bottom of the canvas
Yes
Very disappointed in presenting please practice first thank you
Yes I agree
Seems like u need less paint
I realize that now.
Not helpful at all if viewers can't see the surface.
Thanks for watching anyway
Feísimo. Una auténtica chapuza.
