The biggest concern after week one was the 10 penalties and we cut that down to 5 against Dallas
My surprise is the OL playing well after all the talk of them going to be a big weakness. It's only the third week and I'm glad the Saints are now doing well. But I'm not getting that hyped just yet. I love this teaam but I'm taking it on a week by week basis. The NFC South is now officially a tough division. No one can accuse us of being the worst in the league. And that's a good feeling to know that.
I’m surprised also but we really shouldn’t be surprised 4 out of 5 of the oline are all first round picks they were eventually going to have a break through
I agree
Scheme fit is the difference why is everybody acting like we still have Pete Carmichael it’s crazy how everyone saying they are shocked we did get the hottest OC that was on the market to go along with our talent we went 9-8 with injuries and Pete Carmichael
I hope the dome is so loud Philly can’t hear a single thing
Never understood why u guys where so Down on the Saints coming into the year, U all just wanted to blame Carr for EVERYTHING That went wrong last year.. . CRAZY
Great interview and analysis! Hoping T Hill is ready to go ⚜️
Allen, Carr and Kubiuk have the Saints looking like a division winner. They fooled us, but in the best way possible.
Every saints game will be must see 👀TV this season 🏈💯 WhoDat
I believe if I'm remembering correctly the Grupe extra point was tipped by a guy who squeezed in through the middle, so it was more of a PAT block than a miss
All I have to say is that the New Orleans Saints are the real deal. Fact is I have been a die hard raider fan since I was in elementary school. Trust me it burns deep into my veins as I as a younger man had Jim Otto and Ben Davidson coming to watch me pitch. That made me a super star. All through the mad bomber, Kenny and the quarter back who not only hurt the eagles they then kicked the dog shit out of the hogs the raiders with Jim kicked there butt. Living on the peninsula Hell Joe Montana lived across the street from me he is a asshole his wife very nice. The bottom line when the Raiders got Dereck Carr it was the first time I felt we had a chance. I know Dereck and his family wanted to retire as a Raider. Fuck that patriots coach changing his future. DERECK IS THE SHIT AND I AM NOW A SAINTS FAN FOR REAL.!!!!!!!
Didn’t grupe’s extra point kick actually get blocked? Thats what it’s counted as on ESPN
It was hooked
@NightwingTV it was blocked
Why does dude hate this team so much??
He has a Saints channel and its almost like hes rooting for them to fail..
This dude is a joke and mad hater..😂😂
He really doesn’t like Carr. Matt spent most of his offseason cheerleading the start Spencer Rattler train and just rank away the rest of these veterans careers, now he has no interest in changing his tune or admitting that he was grossly mistaken.
He has an irrational hatred of Derer Carr which can likely only be explained by how uncomfortable he is with his own sexuality and his physical attraction towards Derek Carr
I feel it's an older Saints fan mentality. For example my dad(he's 64) is a Saints fan to death and after still he's seen all of the years that they have been horrible or disappointing and he has a hard time trusting that they can keep it up once they start winning. I think dude is just trying to be more "realistic" about the situation than optimistic.
He doesn't want to get let down so he lowers his expectations drastically so if it does happen he won't feel as bad. Him lowering those expectations almost makes it sound like he's hating or doesn't want them to win but I guarantee you that when the Saints score or win a game he's the loudest person in the neighborhood lol
@@Saints-ji3vj I think if he was a regular fan that I’d agree with you totally. But I’d push back that Matt has a financial incentive to drive a narrative. He picked a story line that the Saints (despite winning 9 games last season) were going to be objectively worse this year. That the QB (who was the best Quarterback in the league for the last 6 games of the 2023) was in fact terrible and would be benched in favor of a 5th round pick that completes 50ish percent of his passes. Matt boldly proclaimed that he was taking the under on 7 wins this year… at this point any of his parsing of the argument is meant to deflect attention from the narrative arsonists he was this offseason in his own corner of the internet.
6-11 is crazy Matt after we won 9 games last year and we basically got the same team 😂
I think the prediction was not about the team but about the much more difficult schedule. Last Season we we're 9-8 against Backup QBs in weak Teams
But the Saints are Fire this Season
@@tayfun9281 yeah I understand that.. but 6-11 Still too low for our Team regardless.
9-8 repeat is where I had it. I still think its far too early to really know... Beating the Cowboys (especially at home) was nice. The Panthers win is how it should go... that's the worst team in football.
Matt really hates his team
You gotta take care of Philly then will reallly be sitting pretty that’ll be 3 conference wins you couldn’t draw it up any better
Saints will be 14-3 , Home field advantage through out the playoffs and win the Superbowl at Home. WhoDat DC4 🎉🎉🎉
What 3 games you think they lose?
the sports media didn't talked about the saint the whole off season...if they did it was mostly negative...and i stated on a previous post that the Saints should average 31ppg this season with the players on the roster...on point & dialed in...
Our defense has been great. We just have needed our offense to step up.
They blocked that PAT clowns,,,😂😂
Did no one else see the blocked extra point? Everyone’s talking like Blake just missed it. There was guys that busted through the middle almost immediately as soon as the ball was snapped and blocked the kick.
I’m worried about who’s lead blocker in 21 and 22 personnel packages if taysom doesn’t play and I’m concerned about stopping jalen hurts from running wild since DAs defenses have had some trouble with mobile qbs. I still think the saints win at home and I hopeful it’s a convincing win but I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s close. Who dat ?
What 🎮the saints losing 🤔
His delivery ✌🏾 slow saints win 👻
Wasn't the field goal Groupe missed just blocked, so technically he didn't 'miss'? ...Or was too low ( i.e. his error made it blockable )?
Man get off that line …Matt still tryna make his self right about the line being trash, I never seen somebody hate to be wrong ,,,,Carr can’t be just playing good somebody had to unlock him and all that silly talk..
Don’t knock the offensive line, they’re doing great, the play calling is attempting to mask the flaws AND they’re playing very well anyways
Grupe didn't miss. It was blocked.
Don't forget that grupes extra point was tipped
Defense are going to start to figure out what Saints offense is doing
Screw being cautious Triplet!! Show some real analysis. The Saints are top 5 in just about every stat offensive and defensive. Open your eyes and hearts and BE Saints supporters not critics.
I think the way you spy hurts is you use two line backers and use Taylor as your spy. You could play three other corners besides him if you have lattimore back.
How did they score on every possession but also throw an interception?
Yeah it was the first 15 possessions.
yeah, they should have said 15 of 16 possessions (and I stil don't blame Carr for the INT as it literally bounced off Olave's hands (almost the identical to the Dak interception that the receiver fell down on ).
@@ListWits is sailed too high and off target so it most certainly was a bad pass from Carr. Olave made an increidible move to even get his hands on an uncatchable throw.
Bad pass by Carr but not very bad pass, Olave trying to catch it just happened to pop it in the air to a defender, dak got ball hawked tho, kind of a bad situation in general, wouldn’t sweat Carr or olave on it
I hope Carr plays against the raiders super bowl lol
Wouldve had em 10 an 7 atleast
Saints record will be 12-5
Is the eagles’ rushing attack in the room with us?
Barkley is the best RB in the league. Don't be a prisoner of the moment and forget the Eagles can run the ball on any team.
@@NonAbnormal💯 need to take it week to week every team is not the same will play even harder just because of how the Saints have been playing
Kirk cousins spanked you guys with a clutch 2 minute drive
There not going 3 -4 in the next seven
