- Have you ever heard people say, "I remember the good old days when..."? I've said those same words regarding megalodon tooth hunting in Summerville. Well we ran into a short lived place that was just like the old days, but this time I had a video camera so you could come along. Wanna see what its like to collect shark teeth at a site that had some of the best fossil bearing formation I've ever seen? Watch this video for a glimpse!
Is it just me or when dirt rips off like how they are digging is SOOOO SATISFYING!
Ikr!
dude that screwdriver should never touch the tooth!!
@Zaiden Mario bot
@Rogelio Lewis oh andddd, bot.
I like theses videos because i can pause and see if I can find it before you pull it out. Keep up the great vids!
Jerebrine Same
The good old days are always great!
The formations seems quite rich in sediments! Making the fossils here been covered with brownish yet mixed with a rusty irony red colour!
Way to go!
I love seeing the inprint in the sand after you dig up a big megalodon tooth. Its very satisfying. Thanks for the great videos. Im a new subscriber, i ran across your channel somehow it came up in my feed and ive been watching your videos back to back now. Keep them coming, i like everyone ive watched. Goodluck on finding that big 6 inch megalodon!
I hate how your scraping theme with screwdrivers
@Carter Taylor I don’t ever remember what this was but your probably right
That's amazing! Love that huge gw and of course all those large megs!

Thank you for the answers you gave.
Very addicting to watch. Bucket list item for sure! Find a shark tooth
I've been home sick all day and watching your videos. Makes me want to head home to NC this summer and get hunting. I love your videos. The angles make us feel like we are along for the trip.
+ANNA MANN i am proud to be entertainment on your rainy day. I hope you feel better!

Good Job! Keep it up!
This site is incredible! Keep up the great videos!!!
I went to a creek in Greenville,NC and surprisingly found a 2 inch great white tooth. I almost had a heart attack
Dragon 555 I've been to that creek - its a good spot. One of my friends found a 5 inch megalodon tooth there! I thought he was going to have a heart attack too.
Great finds!!
This is the coolest thing ever
Wow, how do you not have more subscribers !!
Evan Grimble it's due to morons digging with a screwdriver
@@ericsgreyhairwisdom5799 at least he knows his shark teeth besides what could you do
@@hilariomendoza1784 What can I Do? Hmmmmm . In relation to finding shark teeth, nothing. You can't argue with results.
Not a big enough audience😪
Thank you very very much!
Awesome finds.
That was incredible...
It's amazing to watch you guys work your trade. I guess you have to have that trained eye to spot that one edge barely peeking out. I subbed today. You guys are awesome.
I love your videoes
I love your vids
Love your channel
thanks!
Dude that arrowhead is insane. You had some incredible teeth but that point… of wow that was unexpected
on of the best arrowheads i ever found on land!
nice vid,I think my dad would like your vids
I wish I had places like that here in my part of MD to fossil hunt. The only place is Calvert Cliffs but that has been cleaned out pretty good.
Awesome finds and great channel buddy 👍🏼
Killer finds!
Sehr schöne Funde! Nur weiter so ! Schöne Grüße aus Österreich
Cool that you can find all of them shark teeth
This is a good place! I can stay here for one whole day! Now whenever I see the shark teeth, my eyes will shine! Of course it would be better if there were trilobite fossils! I like to collect these things! These are better than the best Longquan swords!
Awesome vids as always! 25 minuten of pure meg bonanza! But I was wondering, you ever took matrix from a site this rich and search it for micro teeth?
+Alexander Huijsmans thank you! I did not take material from this site to search for micros but I have from others. The formation at this site was reformulated many times so its not the best to search for tiny teeth. We have an oligocene deposit here called the Chandler Bridge that has never been disturbed since it was the ocean bottom and that is the one I search.
I see you go to land sites in summerville and I was wondering if you have to pay to get in or how you get in? I am taking a trip down to summerville soon and i really want to find a huge tooth, so I wasn't sure where to go that is why I have so many questions. thank you
awsome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm back!!! What a rush!! I know how you guys feel watching the videos but it's the hunt and the prize of digging out a whole tooth.
I'm hoping I can do this.
Wonderful finds. I really like them all but that spear point is exceptional. 👏
thanks! that spear was such a fluke find!
@@blackriverfossils I hope you and friends are safe from this storm. Maybe once it is past new material will be available for searching. So you look during colder weather?
@@para1324 thanks. we will go out and look but there wasn't as much rain as we thought it was going to be. we will hunt land sites all year around when they are available, we just don't dive in the winter.
sorry if this comes out stupid on my part but what is patho meg? I'm really new at this and I'm a kid so please tell me if you have time D:
Oh my goodness where are you guys at, like where at in summerville
What is the place in Summerville where u are at in this video
Is that in a construction site or were is it?
We dive in Cottageville in the Edisto. I think we saw you guys by the ladder in front of dudes house. Waiste high in July. Cheers from Columbia:)
coulda been us. we didn't get out much last year the river was high almost the whole season. fingers crossed for 2021!
Oh my goodness...this is just absolutely incredible!!! I've never seen anything like it! I'm amazed at how many giant teeth you found! Gorgeous coloring on the artifact...beautiful point!!!
Is this a public or private site? Where is it?
your teeth are so cool
You know what is good for this? The first digging not the finishing aroind things) are a drum break took (stretches the springs) and a little forked weed puller helper thing. (bent a little at the end of a slender spade handle kind of.
What that screwdriver did to you?
were did you find thos teeth because I love sharks
Nice bonus arrowhead. I think it's an adina
Were do you find those teeth!!
Like how these two are less prepared than the fossil trade of maroco.
Whare is this fossil place??
was that and arrow head ?
thanks u the best
cool stuff
Where do you find these
Summerville, SC?
K -- what a great show of the time you had out there! Stellar! I needed to stop at 9:00 but I will circle back tomorrow! I am still floored... as I have heard some say of me with artifacts and points... in the fantastic volume you have been able to locate. Would you say it has been a really self-taught understanding as to how you locate them?? Have you thought that those many Meg teeth might be sometimes off the same shark? Thanks again! Keep moving forward! Ben
Indian Trace could go either way. our formations have been washed around by the ocean so its possible that the teeth tumbled some distance before coming to rest where we found them. it is also possible that the reformulation was not chaotic and the teeth are associated. either way they have found good homes now!
Understood and great thoiughts! Keep finding!
What river were u at?
what is your rarest find ever?
Hello it is beautiful where is it
Superb video, really enjoyed seeing how the Meg tooth I bought here in the UK is excavated in the US and the conditions they are found in, can you recommend any websites for identifying fossil sharks teeth ?
fossilera.com
Oh it's for buying shark teeth
I live downtown CHS, if I donate a nice hand trowel to replace the flat head screwdriver, will you take me hunting?
yeah what Dino Issac said
Who know what site this guys at?? I’m going to Summerville and wanted to know where it is
Where you. Find these tooth
van i find some in Montreal or Laval Canada?
czz i wanna give my crush one as a gift
bro those teeth are a nice colour bit of a change from florida and South carolina black grey ones
have you tried a 1/2" wood chisel, seem like you need something wider , enjoyed your videos.
that would probably be tough enough but it needs a tip to be able to dig in between the rocks. a bull point chisel would do the job.
yeah what Dino isaac said
Are there excursions or anything like that where people can come and hunt on a property? I am dying to come from tn and find some teeth!
there are excursions in the charleston area but I don't operate them.
Tkermy me too!
Tkermy imagine me I live in India 🇮🇳
jo man i have a question.
how long does it normaly take to find another mag tooth??
I usually hunt for hours at a time, several times per week. Sometimes I go months without finding a megalodon tooth. That's why this spot was so special, because it was loaded with them.
Tnx responding! Thats whta I thought😂
Foooooooooood !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Is there any beaches in California where theres shark teeth or any fossil?
UltraCakePlays i don't know, sorry. the only place I have ever collected in CA was Bakersfield
Is this in Dorchester Creek or Sawmill Branch?
neither. but it was down the road from there.
WOW 😳😲😲 Beautiful ....Can I Have One?
I live right off of Ladson road and have know idea where your spot is! I love hunting for sharks teeth but never have luck like this. Any spot suggestions??
+MarkedbyMistakes i jump down in almost every hole in the ground I see. Most of them are worthless but once in a while, I find a spot like this. there is always a danger when you get down into a hole that the edge can collapse though so you have to be careful.
NICE
How do u find these sites
Where does he hunt for these
wear ar you at because is there one in Casper
Any places (be specific) where I can find a meg tooth for sure?
Dude , good luck getting somebody to give you that info . I’ve been asking for years about info like that and Indian artifacts and the best I get is look for water 🤦🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
Can you tell me where you go to find them
How much for a 3 inch megalodon tooth?
Use your hands your an profesional fossil hunter
5:35 did you mean so far so good? You said so good so far lol
Have you ever found any arrowheads or different artifacts like that
Swedish Fish yes, he has
Where does he find these teeth
summerville america?
Do a vid of tiger and aligator teeth
where'd you go
How much time do you typically spend at these sites?
At a good site I'll go as often as I can and dig until I have blisters, usually hours at a time. Good sites are only accessible for a short window of time, usually only a couple days at most.
Y'all need a Missouri wiggle pick to dig those out
I wonder where you are searching for these fossils. Iam from sweden and I would like to spend my holiday hunting for megs. Any ideas at sweet places with almost guaranteed funds?
you can find fossil shark teeth in Holland. Lots of collectors hunt there, and some find megalodon teeth.
johan gustafsson I am also from sweden and i would Love that to, but do you now Some other places i sweden where it is posible to go to? I mean, the only plays that I can travel to is "ivö klack", can you Please help!?
what state
Juana Frausto If you mean the state that I'm live on/at i Sweden it is "Skåne"
Bronze3Q 4k Hej jag är också från Sverige och letar också efter bra ställen att hitta coola fossiler på :)
I've heard you say "patho" a few times, and I'm not sure what you mean. Is it short for something? (I'm assuming it means deformed?)
+Ultimate Heel you're right - patho is just slang for pathologic which does mean deformed. Sorry I'm not as clear as I should be!
+blackriverfossils Thanks so much, man! Love the channel! Keep up the vids!
AWESOME day guys!
