I come from Islington n all and I remember early 90s as a youngster (I’m a bit younger than Drax) going down the west end was almost like going an away game at football as I got older. You had to have your wits about you and have something on you (the red hammers off the busses), and we ran a fair few times back then. Little alleyways off oxford st were sore for being taxed as a 14yo and you’d sometimes walk down em just to front it but it was all part of the buzz to go down there ...and get my trainers or 12”s (in a shelleys record bag 😂) and walk back to the cally in one piece- we’d go three handed and felt like the warriors when we got home safe haha

Love the channel only just found it, Dead’s comment about getting taxed in the 80s is on point, we used to travel from Yorkshire to get flix and buy clothes from four star, and it was always a mission, worth it though, plus I think taxing was just part of Hip Hop back then.

This is by miles the best Killa graf pod. The guy is so observant and astute and self deprecating, despite being a proper legend. I’d love to see a follow up.
Actually, the way he described all the crews and their links, I’d love to see him maybe collaborate with a few other heads and do a graf crew family tree.

It showed his little come back and battle against Banksy and he was also venturing into Street Art and shows. It's a real shame his life was cut short just as he was touching on becoming successful in the modern Street Art world and gaining the respect he much deserved.
