I think the Link with their hair down is the hero from 10,000 years ago. Also, the only time Link lets his hair down in Botw? Is when he’s wearing ancient helms. Might be a throwback to the first Link to wear the ancient armor.
@@Tmaster2006YT yeah! history repeating is a big theme in LoZ, what with the whole curse of Demise, and Link, Zelda, and Ganon’s continuous cycle of reincarnation… edit: oh, and/or maybe time travel.
@@coyotedomino, yeah I know about Demises curse on Zelda, link and his own bloodline however history has never repeated itself perfectly like this until now. Yeah the basic idea of a hero in green kills big scary dark lord is always mentioned in the Zelda games but there’s always some kind of change or additional context to the story, like in twilight princess, wind waker or majoras mask.
Here's an insane crackpot theory: The link in the trailer has a weird arm thing going on. When we get a close up of it, his fingernails are long, suggesting he had been isolated for some time after he got the arm. My theory is that, after AOC link defeated calamity ganon, he went to find Ganondorf's body to stop the malice. Then all of the stuff in trailer 1 happened and the link we see in trailer 2 is BOTW 1 link after the shrine of resurrection malfunctioned from being lifted in the air, and thus being cut off from the main sheikah power source. He remained asleep, but not in total stasis and because his past self got the arm thing, his future self did, too. This is why, in the trailer, we see link with 2 different styles. His past self still on the ground, and his future self in the sky. I think we will be alternating between 2 different characters or time periods.
Link has the spirit arm while in the sky AND on the ground, time travel would have to be involved for something like that to be true. So no, there both the same link and the nails on the arm where already long in the previous trailer before the castle was lifted into the sky.
You really get it Kleric, everyone else was saying how links hair grew and I was like "What? No? Links always had luscious, locks and that hair tie keeps it contained"
a theory of mine is that they might scrap glider stamina because the islands appear quite far apart and gliding is the only form of horizontal air transport we see in this trailer
Oh oh oh! At 5:46 you were right! The castle is probably all still there and the sky hasn't appeared yet! Link has ponytail, two arms, and his outfit before/during the cutscenes. That really makes you wonder how the game is going to start.
5:06 Lava is not leaking anymore. So it is probably accessible with a new dungeon. I think the sky is just a part of a dungeon. There is probably also a Goron dungeon in the volcano, A Zora dungeon under the water (swimming under the water yes). In the 7:25 new tool to ability to fire is the proof of old dungeons are back and this is most likely the dungeon under the volcano because of fire thingy. But i still considerate about how they are gonna manage to change hyrule with legitimate consistent way. Maybe link is asleep again for a 100 years but that sound just silly to me.
First of all, great review and analysis! Second of all I though the whole link long nails thing was funny 😆. My theory is that maybe when ganondorf does the whole arm thing he transfers the runes to link from the slate or he gives him completely brand new powers to use, second thing is that when the castle rose it causes some settlements to rise out of the ground similar to the region towers, and that’s what the floating islands are. I think that the new look for the bokoblins make them look cooler along with how they now settle on the backs of the talos’s, it bring the idea to me that maybe now we’re gonna see new interactions with different enemy types, like maybe we can see a platform with the hinoxs’s as well, maybe even the guardians? I think the dungeons this time are gonna be traditional dungeons, no divine beasts or anything like that. Maybe you go into the dungeon when it’s In the ground and then when you complete it it then rises up in the air, while talking about the dungeons maybe link now controls the Sheika stuff with his right hand now because he has ultimate sheika powers with it now. When you talked about the region he was skydiving above I though it looked like tarry town. Possibly link is bad this game? I really do dig the new outfit of link and his arm, also, when link clips through the cliff to get on top of the floating place maybe that stream we see is the way to get to the top of those and access them, I don’t know, possibly. Zelda’s Alive just because she has plot armor 😂! That’s my ideas basically from the trailer and the new game so far, I know it’s a hell of a long comment, but I wanted to share my thoughts and ideas. Keep up the good work!!!
@@a_hogg9113 just plot armor, it’s called Legend of ZELDA for a reason though, Zelda has never died and she never will! The plot of the game will keep her alive, kind alike how people get the crap beat outta then in movies and games and they’re somehow still kicking, hence, plot armor!
I think the sheika tech will just all fail to function. In Botw 1 during the tru end zelda says that divine beast ruta is having issues. I personally think maybe all the sheika tech will run out of juice
Because Nintendo didn’t tell the name of this BotW sequel on purpose, because it could possibly ruin the expectations (or something like that if I’m not mistaken) of the game, it might be all about timetravelling, because the frames of both the 1st and 2nd trailer of this sequel are not in the right order. Some parts are reversed too. A title name that has to do something with “time” would indeed ruin the expectation of this game if you ask me. What I think: this game is mainly going to be about Link being able to travel through time, seeing and experiencing different events in Hyrule, and possibly being a combination of a Hero of the Wild and a Hero of Time. Anybody else agree?
Zeltik brought up the fact that skydiving Link looks like the Hero of 10000 years ago depicted in the tapestry. Anybody wanna bet that we gonna be time-traveling or switching between the old and modern Links?
Guys, this man is the only person that is like me, he has logic. Zelda: falls in whole, Whilst doing so she is not cought The pit is minimum 100 feet deep, which means, *Zelda, by all known laws of physics, is infact dead* thus the conclusion is: *ZELDA HAS DIED* It is that simple AND NO ZELDA MAGIC!! THATS ILLEGAL
I think Link catches Zelda before she falls by using an ability with his new hand. She falls in one scene, but seems to be captured by the green hand in the scene from the other trailer. (you can see golden locks). Could also have been that Link catches her, but drops her later if you see the trailers as chronological.
I wonder if that broom rune could be something to take control of a beast. It reminded me of "Sorcerer's Apprentice" from Disney's Fantasia. If you know the story, the broom could very much symbolize "taking control". Maybe it's just a reference or even an easter egg. I don't know.
It's probably gonna be like going to island to island, each of them has a shrine and you have to complete it to unlock the droplet thing to phase through the ground of the next island, etc...
That was surprisingly detailed! Looks like they're changing most things that were around for game 1. Personally, I don't want them to get too excessive with the monster changes through such a short time, but they have all been interesting.
"How do we make a sequel?" -We got rid of all his abilities that his dead friends gave him at the end of the first. Their spirits moved on shutting down the divine beasts and removing super jump, resurrection, lightning, & shield. -Get rid of the Sheikah slate. Also done at the end of the first game. That girl loves her ipad. With it in her hands Link loses magnesis, object stop, bombs, ice blocks, photographs & sensor, teleport, Sheikah cycle & map. Damn. I couldn't tell but she falls with it into the darkness. Wherever that goes. Side note: was it just for dramatic story telling that Zelda and Link were walking on that hill to Zora at the end of BOTW1? Couldn't she have teleported them right to the shrine under the Zora throne? "What about the master sword? He's too powerful even if it is the only thing he has left." (Ignoring the huge inventory you collected in botw1, because why would that transfer? Rolla eyes) -It's taken, he loses it.. Something. We won't show how in the trailer but he doesn't get to have it in the beginning. -Take away all his inventory slots just for the heck of it, i mean it is a new game. "Okay. He is powerless. Let's start a new game. What's new?" Side note: age of Calamity irritated me so much. Map & Monsters mostly but also the time shenanigans. Impa absolutely kicked all the butt. "Same old world?" -Let's make changes. No one will notice or care. "Perfect, we can f* with the monsters some too." Kleric, The "buildings" you pointed out in the background. Weren't those the stone arches we saw in the next scene behind the "broom" bot? They reminded me a little of a stone version of Kakariko village entry arches. "Broombot" has an energy beam holding it together. Specifically, the energy appears to be of spirit and not Sheikah. Same has the coloration of the hand holding Gannon mummy & same as coloration of energy when "clipping" through the rock. The spirit arm bracelet that Link gets uses spirit energy. We have new abilities to learn that are possible by using this spirit energy. Side note: I wouldn't mind if this was the 2nd part of a trilogy.. For dramatic storytelling. I'm wondering if all the floating lands we are seeing are not in some way a spirit realm or that we are moved from the Hyrule we saved to another version.. I'm not suggesting a different timeline nor unified theory. I think there may be some problems with the idea of it being a spirit realm and unlikely. Just tossing out ideas. It could explain the difference in the monsters too. Side notes: speaking of things floating and more importantly coming out of nowhere, where the heck does the floating platform come from when you fight Monk Kaz Koshia. Another thing, was the labyrinth really in the great plateau or was it inside a pocket realm like the rest of the shrines in the game? I've told my kid more than once that the ability for the ancient Sheikah to see into the future and therefore know where to build their magical portal shrines amazes me. Does it seem like maybe they toned down the divine beasts laser power if it used to be able to punch a whole in a mountain but now can shoot into the castle without damaging it at all? In the comments someone talks about the possible Zonia architecture that is the fire breathing dragon head shield. I didn't notice anything else in the trailer that looked as it does but i'm hopefully that this game gives us more history of the Zonia. Side note: Those shoulder pads on "Broombot" looked like pinecones. Pinecones are some of the oldest and meaningful decorations in our history and I pulled this interesting info: [What does the pinecone symbolize? Throughout the span of recorded human history, pinecones have been a symbol of human enlightenment, resurrection, eternal life and regeneration. ... Conifers are some of the oldest forms of plant life on earth.Dec 4, 2020 www.sarahgreenman.com] maybe this tells us something about the creators of the "Broombot." Broombot also reminds me of Gohdan with those detached hands at the bottom of the screen. I don't want it to be a different realm though I would be okay with an overlapping (possibly) spirit one. It's the falling through the clouds and from rather high up that make me suspicious about it though. I don't think these are chunks of the Hyrule we visited in 1 taken to the air. Then I wonder, "from where?" We didn't see anything in the sky in 1 besides Vah Medoh. Oh, your comment on the new pillars or columns in the ground. Maybe they fell from the floating lands. The giant bokoblin (skull) base being out of place is that map nonsense that i mentioned earlier. As far as their horns though, they do have little horns in 1 but not even in Age of Calamity did we see larger bokoblins with horns like monlins. So there is part of "messing with monsters" ..I wonder if blood moons continue. Okay. Thats quite enough out of me for the moment… Except, going with the other realm theory and the falling.. and Zelda falling.. Maybe everyone jumps into the pit and it takes them there. And.. There is all that water around the castle. Presumably it could be under it too and Zelda falls into an underground waterway.. Then maybe dumped out from the water, ground, and rock when the castle takes to the air?
3:42 FINALLY! Someone that pointed out that the paraglider is different! Thank you Kleric. Also unrelated an ad popped up when I was writing this and it was about the holocaust I think. Idk
Edit: I accidentally wrote an entire paragraph on a game mechanic that does not exist, read if you want lol 7:10 now that you mention it an Magnesis-esque ability that would be sick is a grapple toward metal objects but also flinging the metal object toward Link. Imagine flying around camps using the metal objects but needing to make the most out of each object before you also fling them all on the ground or grappling toward one of the Moblin's helmets, getting rid of the helmet, and then attacking mid-air with all your momentum. To take that idea farther if you be able to disarm foes' metal equipment, you would have to decide what enemy is the most dangerous? can you survive getting flung toward them to disarm them? are they stronger with a sword or a shield? If this was a thing in combat it would also probably need a cooldown, but that would actually just give more value to the decision making. Not to mention what it could add to the navigation and puzzles! So... this probably won't be what's in the game... it would still be a sick game mechanic though :D
What if we took the scenario of link dying but instead of putting him in a magic revival box for a century, Zelda will actually have to go on a journey to resurrect him while holding off the calamity.
That rock skull camp at the end. It's missing in the first shot, but that first shot looks like lower detail level. I think the first shot is in game, and the render distance is still being tweaked. It's probably low right now, as they're testing other parts of the game for functionality, and the structure wasn't loaded in that early shot, based on how N64 those landscapes looked. The second shot looks like a cinematic cutscene that's prerendered, so it likely has all the detail in it, including the skull camp. Just a guess.
my guess is the old runes are gonna be gone but they’ll be new ones that are similar but not the same to replace them. like the not-stasis spike ball reversal thing
that is the triforce, the top one isn't fully saturated like the rest of the area, so to me I think the triforce is separated, unlike in botw where we clearly see all 3 pieces are with zelda
AAACK I’m so excited, also as for things like why the floating areas are in some shots but not others - Link’s new outfit looks like the tapestry outfit from 10,000 years prior, the most clearly discernible part being the green left arm cloth thing. This, coupled with the fact that floating platforms only appear while Link is in this outfit and the references to time reversal, like the new ability and reversing water droplet, lead me to believe that you are able to travel back and forth between the current time and 10,000 years ago, with the sky platforms being tied to the latter. This could also explain how Link suddenly gets so high up in the initial sky shot because he could appear there when first traveling to the past. Edit - one more thing, Nintendo said they didn’t m release the title at E3 because it spoils something, so it’s most likely going to be something along the lines of “A Link to the Pa...” oh wait, they already did that. Anyway, it will probably reference time travel or the past, and this explanation seems reasonable enough to further back up my theory.
Also worth noting that the green tunic that link wears in the skydiving shots has what looks like some sort of tail on the shoulder, almost like how the blue clothes the champions wore had a little picture of their divine beast on them.

@@Tooncesthecatwhodrives Well I have now changed it to: Theory :)
@@Zacherias17 nice change, honestly ideas are never really stupid; especially when they come to pass.
I think the RUclipsr arlo said something very similar but he’s not the biggest and even if you did it’s a great idea (great minds think a like) and I hope to see it
I think the Link with their hair down is the hero from 10,000 years ago. We see them in a world without structures we know exist in modern hyrule, without the master sword, wearing old-fashioned clothing, and with the very zonai-esque hand. Also, the only time Link lets his hair down in Botw? Is when he’s wearing ancient helms. Might be a throwback to the first Link to wear the ancient armor.
History is repeating itself then?
@@Tmaster2006YT yeah! history repeating is a big theme in LoZ, what with the whole curse of Demise, and Link, Zelda, and Ganon’s continuous cycle of reincarnation…
edit: oh, and/or maybe time travel.
Why would the zelda and link from over 10 thousand years ago look exactly the same as the current versions?
@@AnAmericanMusician So they could reuse the models.
I've seen so many of these today, and this is by far the best one.

Ok, now I'm super hyped for the Legend of Dead: Breath of the Wild 2
the flame thrower thingy's design looks like the zonai statues in Faron woods
What's funny is that this is still more accurate than all the other trailer analysis videos I've watched
Maybe Bokoblins are younger versions of Moblins and we never knew, and these bokoblins have the horns because they are growing
Oh man i cant wait to play The Legend of Zelda’s death: A Link to the Janitor Closet
I have been waiting for the broom ruin since the release of BOTW. I’m so glad it’s confirmed!
I am making this comment so that when the game releases I can say how right and epic your analysis was.
When you said “She’s definitely got a tîtty out”, I almost died of laughter
That's some good 'analysis.' Definitely made me laugh
The hair could also just be the fact that Link has long hair, which you can see in BotW with the Guardian set
NO MORE TIMELINE SPLITTING NINTENDO IM ALREADY CONFUSED
nope
Link has the spirit arm while in the sky AND on the ground, time travel would have to be involved for something like that to be true.
So no, there both the same link and the nails on the arm where already long in the previous trailer before the castle was lifted into the sky.
Time to put the crackpot down !
You really get it Kleric, everyone else was saying how links hair grew and I was like "What? No? Links always had luscious, locks and that hair tie keeps it contained"
Yes those are some good clouds Kleric, best part of the trailer in my opinion
a theory of mine is that they might scrap glider stamina because the islands appear quite far apart and gliding is the only form of horizontal air transport we see in this trailer
I've thought of that as well. Seems like a decently reasonable change. :0
he got it right, link does have thang nailzzz *SLAYYY* 💅💅💅
Oh oh oh! At 5:46 you were right! The castle is probably all still there and the sky hasn't appeared yet! Link has ponytail, two arms, and his outfit before/during the cutscenes. That really makes you wonder how the game is going to start.
4:36
Is it just me or has anyone else noticed how that things arms look like the sheikah logo upside down
I’m calling it. This is the best analysis of this trailer anyone will make. No conclusions jumped to and nothing missed.
Idea: We need to study time travel so we can travel to 2022 and get the game early!
@chobopanda SO HOW TF U KNOW ENGLISH, UR FREAKING ANCIENT
I can see the future botw2 will be delayed to 2025
5:06 Lava is not leaking anymore.
Be honest, breath of the wild 2 is the only reason Skyward Sword HD exists 🤣🤣🤣
Yeah I bet they released Skyward Sword HD just so people would understand the story for when BotW2 comes out, like maybe it's important.
even after watching 9 analysis of the trailer, NONE of them talked bout those pillars in hyrule field(5:24)
Thankyou so much for this video kleric!
TOTK minor spoilers, just an enemy type:
I like how nobody realized that worm thing is a friggin Like Like lmao
Omg hiiii i wasn't expecting to see you here
It’s really funny coming back to this after release
Keep up the good work!!!
wdym by plot armor?
@@a_hogg9113 just plot armor, it’s called Legend of ZELDA for a reason though, Zelda has never died and she never will! The plot of the game will keep her alive, kind alike how people get the crap beat outta then in movies and games and they’re somehow still kicking, hence, plot armor!
I think the sheika tech will just all fail to function. In Botw 1 during the tru end zelda says that divine beast ruta is having issues.
I personally think maybe all the sheika tech will run out of juice
Kelric, I love your humor though out the video! I could get used to this as I like this approach to describing any given situation.

2022 can't come soon enough!!!
I hope the game is as broken as the first one.
Zeltik brought up the fact that skydiving Link looks like the Hero of 10000 years ago depicted in the tapestry. Anybody wanna bet that we gonna be time-traveling or switching between the old and modern Links?
Guys, this man is the only person that is like me, he has logic.
Zelda: falls in whole,
Whilst doing so she is not cought
The pit is minimum 100 feet deep, which means, *Zelda, by all known laws of physics, is infact dead*
thus the conclusion is: *ZELDA HAS DIED*
It is that simple
AND NO ZELDA MAGIC!!
My uncle confirmed that everything that was said in this analysis is 100% right
That link with make up and long nails is a crime against humanity and you can’t tell me otherwise.

I wonder if that broom rune could be something to take control of a beast. It reminded me of "Sorcerer's Apprentice" from Disney's Fantasia. If you know the story, the broom could very much symbolize "taking control". Maybe it's just a reference or even an easter egg. I don't know.
I love how he predicted a ton of things right 😂
I love how much he got wrong :P
Things he got right:
Water droplet completely disconnected to Link using Ascend on that island
Yellow rune not being Stasis
Magnesis is gone
@@sim-pli-s-te4015I think it's funny how he thought the steward construct would be a boss those things are the farthest from a hostile boss

“Killer Queen, is what I’ve decided to call it”
"How do we make a sequel?"
-We got rid of all his abilities that his dead friends gave him at the end of the first.
Rolla eyes)
-It's taken, he loses it.. Something. We won't show how in the trailer but he doesn't get to have it in the beginning.
-Take away all his inventory slots just for the heck of it, i mean it is a new game.
"Okay. He is powerless. Let's start a new game. What's new?"
Side note: age of Calamity irritated me so much. Map & Monsters mostly but also the time shenanigans. Impa absolutely kicked all the butt.
"Same old world?"
-Let's make changes. No one will notice or care.
"Perfect, we can f* with the monsters some too."
Kleric,
The "buildings" you pointed out in the background.
Pinecones are some of the oldest and meaningful decorations in our history and I pulled this interesting info:
[What does the pinecone symbolize?
Throughout the span of recorded human history, pinecones have been a symbol of human enlightenment, resurrection, eternal life and regeneration. ... Conifers are some of the oldest forms of plant life on earth.Dec 4, 2020
www.sarahgreenman.com] maybe this tells us something about the creators of the "Broombot." Broombot also reminds me of Gohdan with those detached hands at the bottom of the screen.
So there is part of "messing with monsters"
..I wonder if blood moons continue.
Okay. Thats quite enough out of me for the moment…
Except, going with the other realm theory and the falling.. and Zelda falling.. Maybe everyone jumps into the pit and it takes them there.
And.. There is all that water around the castle. Presumably it could be under it too and Zelda falls into an underground waterway.. Then maybe dumped out from the water, ground, and rock when the castle takes to the air?
I call the temple thing at 3:58 an "upside down Eiffel tower"
3:42 FINALLY! Someone that pointed out that the paraglider is different! Thank you Kleric. Also unrelated an ad popped up when I was writing this and it was about the holocaust I think. Idk
???? How is the cut at 2:57 so fucking smooth
the story is to free ganon from evil and to have peace the end :)
i think about the broom rune a lot nowadays
You are the first person I've seen to know that links hair is normally long.
Edit: I accidentally wrote an entire paragraph on a game mechanic that does not exist, read if you want lol
7:10 now that you mention it an Magnesis-esque ability that would be sick is a grapple toward metal objects but also flinging the metal object toward Link.
So... this probably won't be what's in the game... it would still be a sick game mechanic though :D
yo rip zelda, they should make a game franchise about her
Like The legend of Zelda ?
@@MrDoudadai No, but Legend of Link. Where Link is a prince of Lonk, and Zelda is her appointed maid/guardian.
What if we took the scenario of link dying but instead of putting him in a magic revival box for a century, Zelda will actually have to go on a journey to resurrect him while holding off the calamity.
@@MrDoudadai Yeah! thats a wonderful idea
I really hope they keep old runes and just double the rune count
Or maybe improve the runes to make them better (looking at you cryonis)
my guess is the old runes are gonna be gone but they’ll be new ones that are similar but not the same to replace them. like the not-stasis spike ball reversal thing
The Shiekah Slate seems to be gone so I'm guessing the old runes will be too. RIP windbombing 2019-2022
you missed another yellow colored thing during the spikey ball part, link's magical hands can magically do triforce-looking things now.
that is the triforce, the top one isn't fully saturated like the rest of the area, so to me I think the triforce is separated, unlike in botw where we clearly see all 3 pieces are with zelda
Also the triforce-holding link is suspiciously missing from official websites' pictures, they crop link out for some reason
Okay here's a even more crackpot theory, what If these islands are skyloft
What if the reverse music is representing the land going in reverse back to skyloft Era?
6:07 I think that is a tree
That's a weird tree. :o
Also worth noting that the green tunic that link wears in the skydiving shots has what looks like some sort of tail on the shoulder, almost like how the blue clothes the champions wore had a little picture of their divine beast on them.
6:23
What about... Yknow... The manipulation of the flow of time...???
