Hey everyone! Thank you for your patience as it took many nights to complete this. I went back and forth on which versions of minigames to include and not include. Ultimately I decided to only include versions of the same minigame, not minigames that are similar or can be see as "sequels." For example, the Top 100 and Superstars version of Bombs Away is based on the MP1 minigame. The MP2 minigame was not included. I did this with all MP1/MP2 variants. Same idea applies to Bowser's Bigger Blast in MP4. Minigames like Handcar Havoc in MP1 and MP2 are too visually different, same with minigames like Mushroom Mix-Up and Hexagon Heat. Beach Volley Folly in MP5 is more of a port instead of a remake so I didn't feel it added much to be included. The DS editions of Block Star and Stick and Spin felt based enough on the original to be included.

This is how you know that a company has no hope or interest in one of their series: when they make a bunch of "remakes". As fun as Mario Party Superstars is... it's so barebones for a remake. Why couldn't they do what Activision did with Crash Bandicoot and make a remake of the first three Mario Party games? That's where the series started, it holds a special place in the hearts of many fans, and the series never revisited a bunch of stuff those games introduced. It would've been a crazy fun blast to the past with the trilogy that started it all. Instead, they took the bare minimum from every Mario Party game, smushed them together, and then said "Here ya go. Our work is done. Stop asking for a new entry in the series."
except crash had the advantage of being three fundamentally different games. there's a full story spanning across three games, minor but differing mechanics, and had reasons to bring the OG games to modern consoles (i.e., fixing crash 1's save system, adding relics to the previous games) mario party has less reason to, and even if they decide to remake the N64 trilogy, you already kind of get it here in superstars. they don't have all maps and include minigames from later titles. but it's much more manageable for the developers, rather than trying to bloat the game and make it more ambitious than it needs to be i'm not necessarily defending remakes, but i'm pointing out that it's not a really good comparison
I remember playing the 64 Mario party games. That was always fun especially when some of the mingames we're luck based it seemed like. Anyway what I'm amazed with are the graphics. Not a huge surprise since that's always been a thing with all games just wow (it looks great to me. The older graphics aged well imo too). However... Imagine if it was backwards. MPSs were to be first instead of the 64s graphics and went from there. 🤔
We only have *2* Mario Party 8 mini-games, *4* Mario Party 9 mini-games, and *3* Mario Party 10 mini-games in Superstars. These were the Mario Parties that I grew up with, so I was expecting more than *11* Wii/Wii U mini-games when this game got announced. I'm terribly disappointed...

1:21:28 PERFECT TIMING
Stop asking for a new entry in the series."
except crash had the advantage of being three fundamentally different games. there's a full story spanning across three games, minor but differing mechanics, and had reasons to bring the OG games to modern consoles (i.e., fixing crash 1's save system, adding relics to the previous games)
mario party has less reason to, and even if they decide to remake the N64 trilogy, you already kind of get it here in superstars. they don't have all maps and include minigames from later titles. but it's much more manageable for the developers, rather than trying to bloat the game and make it more ambitious than it needs to be
i'm not necessarily defending remakes, but i'm pointing out that it's not a really good comparison
Fantastic video!!!!!!!!!
Okay, but the fact the chain chomp cleaning game from Mario Party 8
And the pizza + vase games from Mario Party 9 didn’t make it is criminal.
This is really a good improvement.
14:40 removed the shy guy, not buying this game
16:09 added one blue fire guy, not getting this game
1:43:14 “I did it!”
*But you haven’t even started yet Mario*
Mario: that's what I said I did it
24:16 Doh I Missed
Really high quality comparison video.
Rest in peace Hudson soft
The remixed version of piranha's pursuit is one of Nintendo's most original pieces
I love how they added praying animations y Bowser's Big Blast
I love all the main Mario Party games because of the fun minigames and boards.
Only 2 Mario party 8 Minigames? Come on, they weren’t THAT bad…
It's so weird listening to the old versions of the mini-games in Mario Party 8, 9, and 10 since those were the ones I grew up with...
Original OST for most of the minigames are better imo. They feel more dramatic.
Brilliant work.. Thanks so much! ❤️
This is so good I don't even care that 0 Super Mario Party minigamez got remade
41:18 Daisy won... and also fell. Odd timing, sweetie. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
23:44 this one was also remade in mario part 4
I remember playing the 64 Mario party games. That was always fun especially when some of the mingames we're luck based it seemed like. Anyway what I'm amazed with are the graphics. Not a huge surprise since that's always been a thing with all games just wow (it looks great to me. The older graphics aged well imo too). However... Imagine if it was backwards. MPSs were to be first instead of the 64s graphics and went from there. 🤔
1:09:31 these in sync winning sounds bring a tear to my eye 😢
We only have *2* Mario Party 8 mini-games, *4* Mario Party 9 mini-games, and *3* Mario Party 10 mini-games in Superstars. These were the Mario Parties that I grew up with, so I was expecting more than *11* Wii/Wii U mini-games when this game got announced. I'm terribly disappointed...
Bad news, there were only 9, I counted.
And what’s worse, is that there were 17 in The Top 100, 9 carrying them all the way…
@@danielfotheringhamproducti7368 yeah, the Wii/Wii U mini games are underrated by Nintendo themselves.
@@Eeveeismypatronas, I definitely agree… and I grew up with 9 and 10…
@@danielfotheringhamproducti7368 I grew up with 8, 9, & 10, as I mentioned. Why does Nintendo underrate these Mario Parties? They're literally my childhood, & I would've LOVED to see more of their mini-games.
I know its probably not gonna happen but I hope we get a Mario Party DS remake. It was the mario party game I played the most since I didn't own a Wii.
That would be awesome!
1:10:20 is Perfect timing
Man, there should have been more mini games from 8
The motion controls from it feel awkward.
Nice. Let's go!
Good video, I know it was a lot of work, but for some of them you didn't include when they appeared in other Mario Partys, like Mario's Puzzle Party on DS
The computers beat me EVERY TIME at "Pokey Pummel".
I grew up with Mario Party 8, 9, & 10, so they're all familiar to me. 1:41:10 1:43:11 1:46:50
Bombs Away, Slot-Car Derby, Honeycomb Havoc, Booksquirm, GOOOOOOOAL!!, Revers-a-Bomb, Coney Island, Night-Light Fright, Squared Away, Tube It or Lose It, Catch You Letter, Block Star, The Final Countdown, Stick and Spin, Winner or Dinner, Tackle Takedown, and Flash Forward.
The moon in Superstars' version of Night-Light Fright looks like the one seen in the Sand Kingdom from Super Mario Odyssey, which I think it's pretty cool.
12:58 OG is Short
Honeycomb Havoc is one of the longest mini games ever! At least from the ones I know of and played
15:51 If 2 or more people survived when time’s up: Original: DRAW Remake: Give survivors a victory
Amazing work!
We need more mp8 mini games into the mix
I just noticed that in "Parasol Plummet", the same 4 characters are being shown: Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Daisy.
Bowser's Big Blast You forgot Mario Party 4
Beach Volley Folly You forgot Mario Party 5
Dinger Derby You forgot Mario Party 8
Bowser's Bigger Blast from MP4 is very similar but a different minigame ultimately. The remade versions are not based on the MP4 version.
Beach Volly Folly in MP5 is less a remake and more of a port. Didn't feel needed in this comparison video.
Dinger Derby is not in MP8. 🤔
@@mariopartylegacy ruclips.net/video/wobkigTtF8o/видео.html Here
Swing King is similar to Dinger Derby
@@DevinWarren Even though the idea is similar, we count that as a completely different minigame!
Mario Party 8 is Swing Kings
OMG "ICE HOCKEY" IS A TIE IN ALL 3 GAMES!
Idk how particularly rare this is, but sometimes even if you win on Crazy Cutters the the real character you carve out doesn't appear
You need to get at least 80 points for it to appear
I’m not sure how I liked that The Top 100 replaced certain minigame themes with some other ones
Man 8 got shafted so bad. Why? There were some minigames that could be fun if you change controls to fit switch.
Best video ever 😎👍!
What about the Mario Party 4 version of Bowser’s big blast?
Maybe it because it called bowser bigger blast
@@smashoolighi2677 it’s still literally the exact same minigame
1:01:00 how do yous access that minigame in superstars?
Maybe of levels idk
