That old lawn that was thrown in the skip could have been used in the bottom of the raised veg beds. How things were done in those days.

If the garden is 15ft wide, then presumably so is the house.....? Damn that is narrow.!
That isn't a rotovator. They are driven by their own wheels. That machine is a cultivator. Much more difficult to control and hard work, but cheaper.
