    Pretty cool. I didn't know they did actual full contact sparring there. Would love to go there 😔 if that's ever possible. Great video btw 🙏🏼

      Thank you! The traditional class does spar! But you need to ask to be able to spar with them, super fun experience tho :)
      And you should be able to go as soon as China opens up!

    I only had enough time to train for one week, when I was living in China and teaching at universities up north (years ago) but it was a special experience and I will always remember it.

    can u share any thoughts on what u may have learned in regards to chi, veganism, & no animal consumption behind temple walls? thank u🙏

    • @pierrebattermann3747
      @pierrebattermann3747  Год назад

      Well, from what I remember, most of them eat meat, so not much about veganism. Chi well, this school was more oriented about kung fu, but Chi is the energy flowing through our bodies. Sometimes it gets blocked, so you need to treat it with exercise, diet, medicine or acupuncture. No extraordinary powers if that's your question tho.

      @@pierrebattermann3747 hey man, that's not addressing my specific question about temple walls so the simple answer is no. Most civilians participate in these practices yet have very little understanding of what chi is

    Con todo respeto, qué es lo que se enseña ahí en Wudang, Taiji, Bagua, I hsing o pelea callejera? Es una pena que en una Academia Wudang se enseñe o se motive a pelear como animales. El Arte Marcial está muy por encima de eso. En el Karate había primero que aprender el Kata(meditación en movimiento), segundo aprender el ippon Kumite (uno atacaba con un golpe y el otro hacía la defensa correspondiente y contra atacaba con precisión, tercero aprender el jiju kumite (era una pelea preparada donde entraba diversos golpes de mano, de pie, bloqueos y desplazamientos lineales y circulares) y cuarto.... y ya por último se presentaba el Kumite (combate de mente cuerpo) entre dos alumnos. Eso, nunca lo he visto, ni en Shaolin ni en Wudang y ni en ningún otro sitio. Solamente he visto peleas callejeras y vulgares llenas de soberbia y arrogancia. Nada más, disculpen si les he molestado. Paciencia, paciencia, poco a poco. Gracias.

    ...great video...really tell me what forms have you achieved in just 6 months ? I am rather curious on how some who told me they achieved Wudang Kungfu in just a few months ....? thanks,

    • @pierrebattermann3747
      @pierrebattermann3747  7 лет назад +2

      Ahahaha, what does even achieve wudang kung fu means? :')
      I have learned 5 forms, but it is because I already did kung fu for many years. And learning the forms are just a very superficial aspect of achieving a "good kung fu". It would take years to get the flexibility, the deep feeling of every forms. But at least in 6 months I got some insights of what I should train back home and how to train it :)
      I have learned Bagua, Tai chi 28, Xingyi quan, Xuanwu quan, Taiyi wuxing quan. You can check me perform them on the Facebook page: Life is an adventure or add my Facebook Pierre Battermann ;)

      So I absolutely not pretend to achieve anything in such a short time, but it gave me some basics :)

    Looked nice and beautiful until they started sparring. Looked to me like a bad version of kickboxing

    • @pierrebattermann3747
      @pierrebattermann3747  2 года назад +4

      Ahaha, it is called sanda, and that is for sure not their specialty. Sanda is basically chinese kickboxing and is a great striking art. But in wudang they have to learn so much other stuff that do not become Sanda experts indeed. But at least they are tough and they know how to fight, not like most kung fu priests in wudang...
