- There seems to be no end in sight yet, regarding the saga over Evans the kidnapper. The convicted billionaire kidnap kingpin, Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike, alias Evans, has approached the Lagos State High Court, Ikeja for settlement. Evans and his co-defendant, Joseph Emeka, who are facing charges bordering on murder and attempted kidnap, have opted for the option of a plea bargain. The state prosecution counsel, Yusuf Sule informed the court about the plea bargain option, after the case was called for re-arraignment before Justice Adenike Coker.

In my own opinion, the government should accept his plea for bargain to retrieve the money from him. After retrieving the money, the judge should change the sentence from life imprisonment to 70 years imprisonment. 70 years time plus his current age, all things being equal. We need to be sensitive in this country. 👌

Free bargaining in this type of criminal case is evil and shouldn't be encouraged at all, if he is gunning for "free bargaining" , what does he has to offer as restitution, what of the people he has traumatized or possibly killed or died as result of his actions, or people whose business his actyhad affected.
