Great to see shame the weather, it looks so graceful moving you could put a classical piece of music even Albatross by Peter Green would suit it. All Whitworth spanners I bet?
Thanks for watching. As you say, well done to those who keep the engines up and running. I filmed all areas the public can see. I don't think there is anything you can see of the pump. It consists of a large bucket on each end of the beam with a one-way valve in the bottom. the bucket is plunged down a well shaft and lifts water into a release channel. very simple but effective design.
Thanks Simon, what a brilliant example of Victorian engineering! 💪🇬🇧
All my family is from Ryhope Village next time I'm over the pond I would love to see the pumping station
Great machinery!
Thanks Simon. Most enjoyable. I must pay Ryhope a visit myself sometime.
I'd never been before and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Very fascinating!

Amazing thank u
Wonderful to see, well done sir and bravo on the locals getting it preserved.
I would have liked to see the actual pump or wasn't that possible?
