Volunteers helped out in cooking, praying, cleaning of Temple and also of keeping clean shoes of worshipers.
As you enter from 1 of 4 entrance(it means temple is open to everyone).
You hear prayers and you instantly feel the PEACEFULNESS and when you matha tek and stand up , you instantly feel all the stress and troubles taken away by my WAHEGURU!!

Tbh I don't think that the people would vist the temple only for food we go there to seek the blessings of the almighty. And after watching a conspired documentary on the fox news u guys can't judge our people and the reasons for our migration. I my self living in Bangalore have seen like many people who have migrated form other countries and even Australia for jobs. And the percentage of poverty in India according to 2019 is 6.7% approximately. Which is way lower than so called richer or better countries. And after what we have suffered in the past due to the British and the Mughals the way we have rebuilt our country is no joke. If u want to speak about our country firstly you should know about our country and not comment on any of the countries after watching a conspired documentary on the so called "intellectual" news channel. I have been living in India ever since and as per my views there are no difficulties which would be alien to other countries. Just know well before taking

Kudos to Sikhs and golden temple for this. And I wholeheartedly thank the golden temple for serving so many everyday. Fortunately, this is not the only place that serves to so many. Tirupati balaji temple, serves free food for nearly 1 lakh on weekdays and 2 lakhs on weekends through its Annaprasadam scheme. Institutions like akshyapatra, Shiridi sai baba temple, etc are couple of such examples which serve several thousand visitors everyday like golden temple. Every medium size temple with good number of visitors have free meals. This is not to be little anyone but to add extra information to those foreigners who think that it's only golden temple which serves freefood. Serving others is one of the most important objectives in Indian spiritual system. "Manava seve Madhava seva". Serving humans is equal to serving God is the moto.
