Greg I absolutely hate playing on the floor. Always somebody over my shoulder. They act like they have never seen money and it is a very uncomfortable situation. You will hear all the stories. Gamblers are worse than drug addicts. At least with a drug addict you know where it's going. Us gamblers will tell every story you can imagine. The creativity reaches unbelievable places. Gambling addiction is absolutely not receiving the true attention because they really don't want to help the more than 15% of truly addicted gamblers in the United States. How much you wanna bet that guy gambled the money from escrow for some type of real estate transaction or gambled someone else's money and now just flat BROKE. You can't help him. He is cooked and will beg, borrow and Steal to feed the Crushing addiction.
Damn right. I don't trust any stories I hear at a casino. It's easy to spin out of control for any serious gambler. For me I have to make a concerted effort and take steps to make sure I don't go full tilt mode. It was a very expensive lesson last time. Thankfully I haven't had that sort of episode in years.
