The fact that Russia and China will just deport you back to North Korea is just horrible.
Horrible for what? Your US daddy Just abandoned Tens of thousands of Afghanistan citizens US promised to bring to the states. Not mentioning how many South America refugees or Mexico citizens kicked back by US. Every independent country has the very right to secure the border so don’t play double standard. And by the way people like you are so hypocritical And if you are so compassionate, you can always bring anyone from North Korea to your home, feeding them accommodating them and providing them work. It’s crazy how a place like this exists in the modern world.
My AP teacher, who worked in the military, stated that he was stationed in South Korea. He was right at the boarder to North Korea. He and a few others were able to tour around the South Korean side of the boarder, but were told they should never look through to windows, which led to North Korea. There were guards on the other side of the boarder, and he could feel one of them staring at him. He stayed like that for 3-4 minutes, avoiding eye contact with the man staring at him.
Why were they told to never look through the windows?
@@Isx_x33 I guess because the soldier on the other side were given permission to shoot if they made eye contact with you? He never really went into full detail.
@Puresyrup_ the guard would shoot even upon eye contact which is crazy.
I guess they had envy of not been to seek freedom
That seems incredibly unlikely, north korea isn't that blind to international diplomacy to leave an order to just kill random people
I respect the South Korean government so much to let North Koreans deflectors to have an automatic South Korean citizenship

Idk if it’s just me, but in between the border of North and South Korea in Google maps, I saw a hardcore concentration camp, and that gave me chills. I have no clue if it’s still in operation, but I saw it. This shows how strict North Korea is, and even the slightest disloyalty will get you to possibly one of these camps. This also shows that they aren’t messing around when they say there are many concentration camps. 😔

@@marthapapadopoulou3559 Norway has won the nicest country to live in out of 188 ranked countries… for the twelfth year in a row. However Norwegians are taxed out the wazoo with 39-48% income tax compared to US’ 22-37% They have the second most expensive beer in the world at $10 per pint and they have the second highest rate of death from drugs in Europe which is 70 deaths per million population compared to US’ 21 per million. From what I’ve researched, many Norwegians began or are beginning to use injections for cheaper and stronger highs rather than smoking. I used US as the comparator because that’s where I am from, and we are currently ranked 8th best place to live. So here, you can see even #1 and #8 both have many economic and political issues, but can still be the best places to live in the world.
Same i were born in Norway tok and i am thankful
Ja Norge er best
i got stressed while watching this video because of the people, but i still learned so much about north korea. thank you
Is there any video game with escaping from dprk ? If not, why ? That would be a great visualisation of thousands ov videos and stories.
To anyone who managed to escape from North Korea, you are all very brave. It would be hard to go against a regime that has been drilled into your head from a young age.

I escaped north korea
South Korea is a beautiful country which not only allows the people of North Korea to live in their country but also gives citizenship, I have a lot of respect for South Korea.
By official consititutuon law of South Korea, North Korea belongs to republic of Korea and North Koreans are our citizens.
It's also because of their population
Of course, they would only let you in if you somehow manage to escape without getting killed or tortured
As a South Korean I am grateful that I don't live up in the North. I'm also thankful that my grandpa moved to Busan before the Korean War started.
The guy in the first story is a true chad
I honestly believe that people who escape North Korea should never tell how. Once you do, the authorities know. Tell those you’re leaving behind so they know how bit don’t tell those that you arrived to because they will celebrate and brag on how you outsmarted the North. They’ll just increase security.
We need to just invade and liberate them already. How many more days of suffering need to keep going by?
Sherlock
@@briancooley8777 how will you invade? NK has hydrogen bomb and the first think NK will do is bomb sk
@@dkdkmdkememd2131 I was thinking stealthily and as swiftly as possible. So as to not even let them a chance to retaliate or even know what hit em.
Idk how it would be done but the fact that we aren’t even brainstorming a plan pisses me off. Inaction is just the twin brother of evil.
@@briancooley8777 It's literally impossible , China and Russia will be against that invasion , and NK soldiers will just know there is a attack coming , NK has a lot of debunks and bombs are always targeted towards USA , sk and Japan , even if they felt an invasion is coming boom , It's literally a sucidal mission
I applaud the bravery that these people show in the face of the unknown to obtain their freedom and it’s appalling that in the 21st century this is even an option people are forced to take.
@Лола Лазло many do, sadly. But to ignore human rights abuses all
The way around the world, is it as bad as ignoring those you have the power to actually change? Like China and Russia? They could stop it; instantly, if they cared to.

This would be a difficult thing to organise but presumably the DMZ doesnt go underground so couldn't you build a tunnel under the DMZ from North to South (at least a few hundred metres deep to be safe) between 2 towns just on the border? I know its a hard thing to manage but could it work? I guess i probably shouldnt say too much so North Korea doesnt try and police this
As a Russian, I'm truly ashamed at my country's role in creating this atrocity. Hope one day North Korea will be free.

@@danielpavialivori7832 I have a couple of questions for you if you don’t mind spending the time to answer them. It is not the final draft so don’t be surprised if I send another draft later.
Here it is:
Simplfied:
Why are there so few North Koreans fleeing every year compared to the (? 1.8 million) Iraqi refuges who fled Iraq during the 1991 Iraqi Uprisings? Are the reasons for why so few people escape North Korea at least vaguely similar to why there are so few Uyghurs escaping China today as refugees?
Expanded:
Why are there so few North Koreans fleeing every year compared to the (? 1.8 million) Iraqi refuges who fled Iraq during the 1991 Iraqi Uprisings (the upringsings by the Kurds and Shiites in Iraqi following the 1991 Gulf War that tried to overthrow Saddam)?
The number of North Koreans fleeing each year is usually less than 2,000
Is it because Iraq in 1991 was in a state of chaos and disorder which made it easier for Iraqis to escape Saddam Hussein’s brutal surveillance whereas North Korea is not in a state of chaos which makes it extremely difficult to get through North Korea’s _______________?
I heard that a reason why the Uyghurs don’t flee en masse from China despite them being imprisoned is largely because of them being under heavy surveillance. Having said this, is it (high level of surveillance) also a similar reason why the number of people fleeing North Korea is so small.
A related question:
Saddam Hussein was also an extremely oppressive dictator. Were most Iraqis, particularly the Kurds (an ethnic group persecuted under Saddam) under heavy surveillance like the Uyghurs in China?
Just so I know whether or not your answer is reliable, how much do you know about the subjects that I am asking about?
