So glad they addresed the parity finally. I wish they had done this earlier in the year. I loved the finishes of both races...nice and close to the end til the checkered flag.

a lot of you whinging about Reynolds cutting the chicane, the rules are you can go over the curb up to 4 times before you get a warning. Reynolds had only done it 3 times up until that point, so that was his 4th. anyway glad to see the mustangs getting a fair go at these races now. wish bathurst was like this, now that it’s even in the pack i’m actually excited for these races now.

@tomknight3243 but it wasn't svg sp hypotheticals don't count. They ignored brodies non stop bumps just as they ignored Reynolds slipping the 1st chicane a few times = even steven, simples
@@jeepnutscotty David only cut 3 times the rules state that if you cut 4 times it is a warning any more than 4 then it is a penalty which Brodie did but only got a warning and no penalty and Brodie got to keep his pole position today even with a kerb strike which he lost the shoot out yesterday over

How that was not a dangerous re entry is beyond me. Baird needs to be replaced with decisions like those.
not to mention reynolds not getting a penalty on the last lap for cutting the chicane and gaining an advantage because the gap that it made to kosteki was way bigger than if he had driven the track normally.

It’s been a minute since we’ve seen a Reynolds W, and I’m glad to see it. Seeing him fight Kostecki like his life depended on it was awesome to see. That is what racing is all about. Drivers aggressively fighting tooth and nail for the win, while still remaining clean and respectful.

That fierce fighting is what I miss in most of track motorsports, especially in nowadays F1, I have a feeling that they're complaining on a team radio a bit too much, I remember old fights decade, two ago, I wish aussie supercars would expand it's presence abroad as well, at least "where the crown is", SA, UK, CA would be great for presence on most of continents
I've almost left F1 entirely, I just found this series. Been mostly watching GT and IMSA. You watch an F1 race and it's so stale it hurts. It's almost never hair raising like this!

That final lap Dave cut the corner should of ended in a penalty.
As he did it a couple times to build speed momentum onto the next corner, smart tactics but shifty too.
V8SC should of been aware more what he was doing and as brodie definitely was gonna have a dive last lap if he was closer.

One time is excusable, but Reynolds did it three times. He should have gotten a penalty at some point. Otherwise, why shouldn't everyone just straight-line the chicane?

@@dazza8389no, the Supercars officials allows drivers on the Gold Coast to cut the chicanes 4 to 5 times before a penalty, it’s sure due to how narrow the track is.

If he couldn't maintain the speed he was carrying through the chicane, he should have gone slower but he knew he couldn't do that because Kostecki was strong into the hairpin.

Supercars never fails to entertain, pity Reynolds went over the curves so much, I guess if you wanna win you do what you gotta do.
Renalds should have been penalized. 3 or 4 times he cut that chicane, and it was all based on not handling the pressure. I could see if he was bumped going into the chicane but he had more than ample time to recover from the bump 2 turns earlier.

foot might have touched the pedal just enough to engage the brake light switch. doesnt mean the brake is pressed. If there was any actual brake pressure then chaz would have passed him back bc SVG would have been slow out, but he wasnt..
