Scotomaphobia is the fear of blindness, spots in one's visual field. This actually makes sense as the monster that is trying to grab you can only grab you if you are in the dark. And in the death screen, you are told to be blind. (english is my second language, there may be minor grammar mistakes!)
i think the fear of blindness is more metaphorically as the (presumably) children, who got brought to wherever this is, don't know where they are or where they are going
The death starting at 4:18 is actually pretty scary. It's not even a death, but it might as well be. Just endlessly falling with no practical means of offing yourself after realising there is no bottom to this pit. Considering your character falls for thousands of hours according to the text, safe to say you can't die from starvation. You might not even be able to age. The image of your character just curled up into the fetal position in the void is terrifying. And my guy put all this in as opposed to just putting a "lol you died" screen after failing a platformer part of the game.
So that pit is named “the infinte hole” Its same as its name… people say if you fall quick enough you can find people in it… Whic these people lived for trilions of years… After a hour, you realize your adventure is over bc of its stuck… But the power of you can get you back on any stuckness/dead
considering you're falling there's probably enough air resistance to guide yourself to the closest wall and hope that friction kills you before the blood loss does

Dante Alighieri, most likely baptized Durante di Alighiero degli Alighier and often referred to as Dante, was an Italian[a] poet, writer and philosopher.[6] His Divine Comedy, originally called Comedìa (modern Italian: Commedia) and later christened Divina by Giovanni Boccaccio, is widely considered one of the most important poems of the Middle Ages and the greatest literary work in the Italian language.[8][9] Dante is known for establishing the use of the vernacular in literature at a time when most poetry was written in Latin, which was accessible only to educated readers. His De vulgari eloquentia (On Eloquence in the Vernacular) was one of the first scholarly defenses of the vernacular. His use of the Florentine dialect for works such as The New Life (1295) and Divine Comedy helped establish the modern-day standardized Italian language. By writing his poem in the Italian vernacular rather than in Latin, Dante influenced the course of literary development, making Italian the literary language in western Europe for several centuries. His work set a precedent that important Italian writers such as Petrarch and Boccaccio would later follow. Dante was instrumental in establishing the literature of Italy, and is considered to be among the country's national poets and the Western world's greatest literary icons. His depictions of Hell, Purgatory and Heaven provided inspiration for the larger body of Western art and literature. He influenced English writers such as Geoffrey Chaucer, John Milton, and Alfred Tennyson, among many others. In addition, the first use of the interlocking three-line rhyme scheme, or the terza rima, is attributed to him. He is described as the "father" of the Italian language, and in Italy he is often referred to as il Sommo Poeta ("the Supreme Poet"). Dante, Petrarch, and Boccaccio are also called the tre corone ("three crowns") of Italian literature. today for lunch I'm having some pasta and meatballs
