I really enjoyed this video. I used to work in New York City, in a building on 6th Ave, about 1 block from this building. It brought back some happy memories!
I’m glad you enjoyed the Pret-A-Manger cafe in Rockefeller Center. They are very popular in New York and Washington DC. Pret-A-Manger means “ready to eat” in French. It is a London-based company (even with the French name!) and it is very good for healthy sandwiches and salads.
The land beneath the Rockefeller Center buildings is owned by Columbia University in NYC, the buildings just rent the ground they stand on, the University gets substantial payments each month from the tenants. Rockefeller Center has some of the very few privately owned streets in NYC, they literally own the street and the land underneath.
Best NYC views I've had were both pre-9/11. The observation deck of the OLD WTC and best of all on a small commuter plane from Massachusetts when they used to let them fly down the center of the Hudson River at lower than the elevation of some skyscrapers. On a more personal note to Sergey, I've sort of been thinking about what's important in life, and I'll pass this along. Of my ten best pals that I graduated college with, only seven of us remain. One died of a heart attack at 35. One died in a car accident at 31. One died of a brain tumor at 29. Of the seven left: 2 are divorced and rather miserable, 2 are happily married to their first wives, 2 never married and seem okay if somewhat lonely at times, 1 was divorced and seems happily remarried. None are millionaires, though 3 make over $150K. Of those 3, all have been divorced and only one remarried and seems happy. Life is short and unpredictable. Money alone merely buys convenience and ease materially, but is not the recipe for happiness. Good health, someone with whom to make fond memories and share life with, and for sure, someone whom to pass a life's legacy, and the maturity to cherish life in all its fleeting splendor... is success!
I think the pricing is the same for visiting the observation deck of the Empire State Building. Quite pricey, but if it's a once-in-a-lifetime experience you should treat yourself.
$34.00 for an elevator ride...? Once in a life time trip to justify spending money like that, for the average American. Hope you're having fun. Best of luck. Sad as well about your family's loss.
Everything in NYC is pricey. If you're not familiar with the prices of property NYC, it will cause your jaw to drop to the ground. Even most rentals for one bedroom apartments in Manhattan are in the $3,000+ per month range.
Sergey, get out of New York City. Ugh! Rent a car and drive down to Washington DC, which you weren't able to see the first time around. Its only a 5-hour drive and if money's tight you can sleep in the car. But take the opportunity to go to Washington for a couple days.

What a spectacular view! Did you see me waving at you from Oyster Bay ? ; )
Another gorgeous building to check out is the Chrysler Building, an Art Deco masterpiece.
md80 captain No. Top of the Rock is Rockefeller Center, two different buildings. My dad used to work in the Chrysler Building in the mid-60's.

Kool video! You should go outside the Trump Tower, chances are you might c the First Lady.
I wonder if Sergey will one day move to the US.
Sergey, i recommend you to add some music on the shots that you made from the building. it would be looking more cinematographic
How much it cost to get so high in NYC?

lol
If he were to go from New York to DC, I'd recommend the train. Driving anywhere near DC sucks.
philzwhip They have buses in NY that go to DC for 50 bucks. The trip is like 4-5 hours.
And I hope you didn't know anyone in the St. Petersburg bombing.
