Regional focus: The North East of India

Conversations abroad about India’s economic potential focus majorly on a few parts of India, reflective partly of the business success of diaspora from those regions.
The North-East of India is a relatively untapped region, that offers great connectivity to other parts of Asia, and retains its own cultures and traditions.
During this session in the second edition of our flagship Ideas for India conference, we looked at the potential and vitality of the North East, with a special focus on Meghalaya, Tripura and Assam, and why they matter to India and the region.

Two separate state is not possible in Tripura:-
1) Instrument of Accession & Merger Agreement.
2) NRC PIL pending in the supreme Court of India.
3) CAA PIL pending in the supreme Court of India.
