    I have to say as someone who's learned to play guitar, intentionally messing up playing a song you've learned is EXTREMELY difficult. It's a lot of muscle memory and going against that is a lot harder than it sounds.

    • @sub2myonlyfaas105
      @sub2myonlyfaas105 3 года назад +1

      @@sub2myonlyfaas105 Hahaha... It happens my friend. Wait until you try to remember a song you used to play a couple years before hand, and try to remember it without looking it up and mix up parts from 2-3 different songs like nope, that's not it. Lmao. It's super easy to make mistakes on guitar. The important thing is always to keep trying. As long as you continue to enjoy playing, just continue practicing. With enough time, practice and effort practically anyone can become good at guitar, it just takes a lot of practice. I love guitar personally but with my chronic arthritis, playing guitar isn't the easiest thing to do anymore. And no I'm not like 60 years old or something, I'm only 33, just really unfortunate genetic lottery. Lol.. it is what it is though.

      @@stfinalwrath funny how small the world feels on the internet, I'm 23 and diagnosed with arthritis :D one of the reasons why I wanted to practice guitar was to get a hold of the tremors, it's actually helped a bit

      @stfinalwrath 3 года назад +2

      @@sub2myonlyfaas105 True that. I'm glad it has helped you at least. That's always a plus. For me my doc thinks it's likely it could be early stages of rheumatoid arthritis, which attacks and wears down your joints over time, because your body doesn't recognize it and thinks it doesn't belong, so it tries to get rid of it. My hands lock up, sometimes my fingers won't respond at all to me trying to move them, it's a mess lol. I'm still able to play video games and magic the gathering though so I still have stuff I can do in my spare time lol. That and working with my 10 month old male normal ball python, Ouroboros. He's a friggin sweetheart though. He doesn't get defensive or try to bite people, he likes chin rubs, just an all around chill noodle. Snakes are my passion though. They're widely misunderstood like many animals people tend to just be afraid of with no real reason for that fear most of the time, but I understand it at the same time. They can appear scarier than they really are. As long as you deal with them respectfully and don't mishandle them they're surprisingly gentle.

    Absolutely look into music theory! Make sure that wherever you get your theory from, it comes with examples of the concept that's being taught so you can hear it in action. Never stop listening to awesome music, and eventually you'll be able to identify why you like a song so much. You've already built a library of top-tier music here in your videos, and there's so much more to discover.

    First of all really nice reaction video! Second. The Dooo explains in one of his videos that apart from being around music and instruments in generell for almost his entire life. He has developed something called Relative Pitch. Which basically means that he can hear the distance between notes and can then even straight transfer it on the instrument even if he has never played it before. He just listens too it once and knows how to play it.
    Other than that please dont judge my spelling. Im not from an english speaking country so it might not be right all the time. :) Hope that helped explain it

    Every time I hear these people making fun of his guitar, I think about the opening scene in the movie/documentary "It Might Get Loud". He makes an instrument from pieces and then plays it. Never knock where the music is coming from. The Doo is legit, even with a Hello Kitty guitar. I am curious as to who he his? He must be either well known, or really doesn't want to be recognized offline. Either way he's good. You need to react to some more of his. I love it when he hasn't heard of a song and can play it, with only hearing 15-20 seconds of it.

      You don’t even need to learn all the music theory.
      Just knowing how different notes go together and why scales work and what different chord progressions are used to convey different emotions will massively elevate your playing.
      It’s the key to improvisation, if you are trying to learn a song and you forget what note comes next but you know what note _FITS_ you can improvise your way around it.

This will probably take at least a year to understand the basics of how things work, it is kinda a long progression process. But he also has perfect pitch and he can identify notes basically instantly when he hears it. That’s why he can play whatever he hears. That’s makes it a lot easier for him too

    I’ve been playing guitar since 2008 and I don’t know any music theory. I just use my ear and listen to how things fit with each other. Ear training is by far the best thing you can do as a player.

    He plays by ear, most guitarist play by ear, I knew 50 songs a month after getting my guitar and I couldn't tell you one chord lol i just play by ear also. It's like that with every single instrument when you have the ear for it.

    I used to play live shows and honestly if we were playing a song that was on rock smith I would use it for practice, it truly is a great learning tool from beginners to people who are masters, I’m not great but it’s definitely gotten me a lot further than where I was, highly suggest checking it out
